Had the phone a few months - got a system update and now it doesn't work. I have to send it back to google and be without a phone for a week or more.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. A PAIN IN THE BUTT. SOME VIRUS GOT IN THE PHONE AND I COULD NOT UNLOCK THE MAIN SCREEN. READ MORE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BUY THIS.

***Review on the cellphone return policy*** I don’t understand why they charge a restocking fee for cellphones but not on tablets.

This phone is absolute junk! Will never buy a Google phone again, especially from Best Buy!! No service to help, nada...

frequently I am loosing cellular network and require reboot or re-inserting of SIM card to get the cellular network. Defective phone was delivered to us.

I received one bar on my Motorola phone it's about a Google pixel still receive one bar and keeps breaking up so it was a waste of $400

Nothing but issues with the phone since getting it. Best Buy employees are no help with the issues since getting the phone

I've been in the market for a phone for a while but nothing new has checked the boxes for me: Strong low light camera, headphone jack, more than 64G storage (or an SD slot) a sub 6" screen size, and a reasonable price tag. I've had my eye on a pixel for a while but they have always been missing at least one of the above. The 4a nails it. There isn't much to be said that hasn't already been said here or in a professional review so I'll just reiterate more of the same Camera nails it. My previous phone (Honor 8) had a great dual camera setup but needed some pro mode trickery and something to stabilize to coax out a good night shot. The pixel takes amazing shots in all light conditions right in your hand and if you trick it into astro photography it's even better and can manage a shot with almost no ambient light. The plastic back isn't great. It does feel light and a bit cheap and isn't as flashy compared to a nice all glass body, but slap a case on it and it's a non issue. I think plastic is a pro for durability too. Only had it for a few days but battery life is far better than my tired old phone, and charge speed is on par or better if you're not coming from another recent turbo charge phone like a One+. I'm a fan of pure android OS but not really interested in playing with root and custom ROMs these days so it's nice to get that experience right out of the box with no bloatware or other garbage in the way. Pixel launcher is pretty solid but I may switch back to Apex at some point. Finger scanner is fast and easy, huge fan of the back mounted design and the swipe for notification is a nice touch. I do miss the click actions from my Honor 8 but I'll survive. If you're on the fence, just drop in. As long as you don't need a flagship processor for heavy gaming, a massive screen for...whatever people do with massive screens? and a massive battery to watch youtube all day away from a charger this is going to check most of the boxes for most people.

I think this is an excellent phone. I’ve broken down my review into sub-sections, so take a look for more detail at whatever may be your point of interest. Size: I like having a slightly smaller phone. Almost all new phones are 6.1”, which makes them a little too big to fit into a back pocket. At 5.8”, the Pixel 4a fits nicely. I also find the smaller size more comfortable to hold and use. Screen: Despite being a little smaller, I’m finding the screen perfectly usable. It looks a little sharper than my OnePlus 6t (6.1”), so I don’t really even notice the difference. Camera: This thing takes excellent photos! I’ve tried taking some identical photos between this and my OnePlus, and I find there to be more detail in the pictures when I zoom in on those taken by the Pixel. I even tried this in a dark room (bathroom, while the only light is the charging light on an electric toothbrush), and the OnePlus only got a couple of pinpoints of light, while the Pixel got a photo (after holding still for about 5 seconds) that included an identifiable picture of me in the mirror, lit by the almost entirely black screen while taking the picture. What they’ve done with the software is fantastic. The only way I can see this being improved is to have multiple lenses so that you have actual wide-angle/telephoto lenses. Software: stock Android software, so you don’t have to worry about any bloatware installed by a carrier. Battery: I use my phone a lot, even more-so now with social isolation. I’m constantly listening to podcasts, making phone calls, looking things up, playing some games, and at the end of the day I’ve generally got between 15% and 35% of my battery remaining. You should be able to get through a day unless you’re trying to watch videos all day. Sound Quality: Excellent! When making calls, the people on the other end have said that I’m coming through much clearer than I did on the OnePlus. On my side, the audio is excellent. Even when listening to music or playing a video, I love that they have speakers on both ends of the phone (from the ear-piece on top, and two speakers on the bottom). I didn’t think much of this until I was watching a video and didn’t hear a dramatic change in the sound quality when I moved my hands. You can hold this phone up, put it on a table, set it at an angle, and the sound you’re hearing is always great. It may not have amazing bass, but it is excellent for little phone speakers. Build Quality: Being a plastic body, you know it is a mid-range phone, but the plastic they used is very soft to the touch, doesn’t get covered in finger prints, and wraps around the sides so you don’t get any odd seams around the phone. No complaints here. Overall: This is an excellent phone. I love the size, the screen and sound quality, and you should be able to get through a day on a charge. Absolutely excellent for the $350 they want for it.

Terrible phone. Developed lines down middle of display screen less than 2 months after purchase. DO NOT but this phone.

I hate this phone. It's very difficult to use and unwieldy between apps. Very sorry I bought it and have wasted my money.

Inexpensive cuz quality is poor; not long after i got it volume slide display got stuck

This was an amazing phone whenever I had it. It was so awesome that I ended up buying a Pixel 5a cause I figured that one would also be a good phone. Unfortunately, it was terrible. I miss my Pixel 4a so much it's unreal. Too bad I didn't buy any insurance for it cause I ended up dropping it like 3 months after buying it. lol. Great phone with an amazing camera though!

Horrible never again. Within 2 months, it locked me out of thr phone. It wouldn't allow me to reset or reboot.

Prices were High. I'm upset that your Company wanted me to choose one of your Phone Companies to get a lower price.

My old Samsung was a better quality easier to use phone, it just didn't have enough internal memory.

stopped working exactly one month from expired warranty. go figure.

it's a downgrade for sure but it works i guess, just not really what i hoped it would be
