The Pixel 4a is a great value with an excellent camera. Battery life is good and since its from Google you get a plain Android experience without all the crapapps that most Android vendors included and regular updates. Never buy a phone from your mobile phone service provided if you can avoid it. Buy unlocked. Highly recommended.

    Solid Device, Okay Phone

I upgraded from the Pixel 1 (2016) to this phone because that hardware was dying. I've had this phone about a few days now and really like it except for calling. For transparency, I do take full advantage of settings and truly make it the phone I want - I would not like this phone straight out of the box. I bought it for the size primarily - I do not like huge devices which is why I've put off upgrading for so long. This is the same size as my old phone but with a bigger screen. The holepunch camera isn't a bother, like some people suggest, because Google created a faux bevel (.25 inch?) for it. No interference that I've seen. Camera is solid and I'm really impressed by the pics I can take at night. I like the feel without a case. Works like a smartphone should; nothing dramatically different than my old phone minus hardware problems. My biggest gripe so far is when talking on the phone it isn't very loud. When playing music or videos the sound is good but dramatically less so with phone calls. Even calls on speaker are slightly lower volume than I would like. Overall I'm happy with the upgrade but I wouldn't recommend it to someone that talks on the phone often. The price, size, and specs are awesome besides that though!

Very happy with the 4a. Great battery life, pictures. You can change the settings to have the standard buttons on the bottom (Back, home, apps). The rep at BestBuy did a fantastic job transferring data and applications from my old Pixel to the Pixel 4a. Very nice phone at a reasonable price.

Really impressed with the functionality of this device! Swapping from and I-phone X to this was a clutch move. I have more features available and at a far more affordable price. The camera is comparable if not better. The live backgrounds are dope and the battery saving modes are extremely handy.

7 Months In - Practical Pixel at Half the Price

Earlier this year, I had to send in my older phone for warranty repair, and I was going to be without my flagship for a while. After reading reviews of the recently released Google Pixel 4a, it was practically a no-brainer, so I ordered it for its quite affordable price, half the cost of my older model. The camera works as well and has all the Google features that were in the Pixel 3, and the phone charges quite quickly. The screen is crisp and the fingerprint reader works quite well. I've been so happy with it, that I have drawered my Pixel 3 as a backup, and just use the 4a for my everyday device. It's nice to know that you really can have most of the features that matter on your daily-used smartphone without breaking the bank.

The Google - Pixel 4a 128GB is a great phone for the price. Didnt want a huge phone and this was just the right size. Good battery life too. Had my parents each get one to upgrade theirs.

Very nice phone. Takes excellent photos, including video at high speed for slo-mo effect. Battery lasts for days if I am not using the phone. Only negative is no FM radio, a minor disappointment. As we will probably never see 5G service at our house, there was no reason to pay more for the 5G model.

My main concern when getting this phone was performance. After using it for a week, I can say that this phone performs great! The rest of the stuff are excellent, camera, software experience, battery and screen (even though that it’s only 60Hz). Build quality is also good and the phone really doesn’t feel cheap.

After my experience with the pixel 2, the 4a was a perfect fit. This phone is in my price range and does all I use my phone for. I'm still in love with this camera and I'm pleasantly surprised at how light the Pixel 4a is. So far, so good! I'm just hoping thebattery life lasts 3 years, like my last pixel.

I recently needed to replace my S7 Samsung Galaxy phone but for my needs I didn't need a real expensive phone. At $350.00 the pixel 4a was a good choice for me.For me I am a basic phone user so the pixel is just right for me.The size is perfect for me no need for a giant screen. The display and battery life are great as well. Also since it is a Google phone updates to Android will be quicker to this phone and more often than the other brands of Android phones. And another selling point is the phone didn't come loaded with a lot of bloatware.Like I stated earlier for my needs and usage this phone is perfect.I highly recommend this for people that just need a basic phone with a great camera and reliable operating system.

So far so good, but they don't sell cases at Best Buy (or anywhere really) so if you buy one order the case at the same time. I cracked my screen within days waiting for a case to be delivered. Photos are great, which is really why I bought it! Can't beat the price for a phone that works this well.

excellent entry to the pixel lineage of phones. Previously had the pixel 2 before upgrading and this phone is relatively the same size and weight. fyi- pixel 2 case does not fit this phone. it's SLIGHTLY smaller. camera is beyond amazing. all in all a fantastic phone.

Great budget phone for those looking for basic use. For the price, the camera is excellent, the display is sharp and very bright, and the battery life lasts all day. Other features I appreciate are the fingerprint sensor and headphone jack. Overall, very pleased with my purchase and experience so far.

I bought this phone as an emergency phone during the pandemic when my other one went poo poo and I didn't want to go anywhere and have contact with anybody so I ordered it from Best buy. I am used to a Samsung Galaxy so there was a little adjustment but for the most part this unit performed very well and did what I needed for a whole year. Still works fine and I'm going to sell it on the used market because I bought the replacement phone that I needed. The voice to text feature on this phone is actually more accurate than on my Samsung Galaxy which was surprising to me. So was the fingerprint reader. Totally got my money's worth considering I spent less than half of what I would for a Samsung Galaxy.

Watching all of the YouTube reviews I was skeptical if this would be an upgrade over my Pixel 3. If camera performance is only mildly important to you and you don't use the wireless charging then this is absolutely an upgrade. 6 GB of ram is worth it alone.

My previous phone was a Pixel 3a, which I really liked. The Pixel 4a is a great upgrade for a very fair price. Apps open and install faster due to the faster processor and UFS storage, and apps seem to stay in memory longer with the extra RAM. As always with Pixels, the camera is excellent.

Haven't had any problems for the first two weeks of owning it. Since the phone is $350 ($380 with tax), there's nothing to compare it to. The screen is nice, the speed is good, the camera is excellent. It's light, too, and not that big. Everything you'd want in a <$500 phone, definitely.

I don't use the phone as a phone much, but this one works really well. It has great battery life. (This may partly be my use of it, but it goes several days.) The camera is great, easy to use and good quality photos. The current android and photo storage are real pluses.

Great battery life. The finger scan works very well. While there are a lot of good features, there are a few that aren't as intuitive as I'd thought they might be. Also, missing some minor features that were on my past phones that I would've thought would be on this phone. The camera is very good.
