    Goodbye premium priced phones

I may not go back to a premium priced phone ever again. I unfortunately dropped my Pixel 4 and bought this as a budget replacement. I don't game on my phone, but otherwise, the performance has been seemingly equal for my use. Camera (no telephoto) has been just as excellent, and the addition of a headphone jack is a warm welcome back. I also prefer fingerprint unlocking to face unlocking. For those worried about 90HZ vs 60HZ, the difference is noticeable, but after a few hours, it's not really a big deal.

Had to upgrade due to my phone of 2 yrs GPS going out and supposidly i can't get 4g on it. This solved all my issues. So glad i got this phone, the camera is amazing and my wife is jealous. While it doesnt have 5g, i wasn't worried about that. Phone seems durable, i have a nice cover on it. It doesn't seem to get as bright as my other moto phones when outside in the sunlight, but that's the only downfall i have with this phone. hopefully this will last longer than 2 years.

Amazing value phone, camera is great and when paired with a Google Fi plan ends up being really cheap to pay monthly.

Absolutely no problems with this phone. Only $399 and it can easily outperform high-end phones like the iPhone 11, no contest :)

It's an amazing phone that is great when you're on a budget. Phones battery life usually starts to die after two weeks, but this one is showing no signs of it. I only have to charge my phone once every 2-3 days. The memory space in this phone is huge and I love that google has an even bigger cloud to save back ups. When setting this phone up, it came with a connector so I could transfer my files, pics, contacts, etc from my iPhone to this phone. I feel like this is a HUGE upgrade from my iPhone.

Refusing to pay up to a thousand for a new smart phone, I researched more reasonably priced options. The Pixel 4a was well reviewed in tech magazines. The sales staff at Best Buy was extremely helpful. The phone is a nice size, not too big. There was a little learning curve going from a Samsung phone to the Pixel. The initial transfer from the old to the new initially glitched but the issue was solved. The phone works well. I can't speak to durability as it is less than two months old.

I really like my new Pixel 4a. I come from a budget phone (Nokia 2.2) and the Pixel blows it away in terms of speed. The speakers are good for watching videos and speakerphone and the charging speed with USB-c is great. A few minor annoyances is the touch sensor on the back makes the phone vibrate when I'm just holding the phone and brush past it. Also, if I put the phone on my wallet it scans something in there and shows some data. That is probably something I should look further into.

The Pixel 4a is a return to form for Google’s smartphone efforts: a lower-cost, mid-range phone that is high quality, long-lasting and fairly small, with a great camera. The Pixel's price 4a is very much an attempt to boil down a smartphone to only the essentials and then make them all work really well. The body is high-quality, soft-touch polycarbonate and feels surprisingly nice. The 5.8in FHD+ OLED screen looks great: it is bright, crisp enough and has reasonably slim bezels all the way around. There is a fairly large hole in the top left of the screen for the selfie camera and the display does not have the 90Hz refresh rate of some slightly more expensive competitors but it does have HDR certification for watching movies. The Pixel 4a has a 4.5% bigger screen than its predecessor but its body is 5.8% smaller overall. At only 144mm in length, 69.4mm in width, 8.8mm in thickness and weighing 143g, the Pixel 4a is one of the smallest phones you can buy in 2020. It feels really great in the hand. It may disappoint super-phone aficionados but for those longing for a big-enough screen in a small and light device that doesn’t break the bank, the Pixel 4a is a breath of fresh air.The back of the device has a traditional fingerprint scanner that just works, and does so in all apps. Google’s face unlock on the Pixel 4 worked brilliantly for unlocking the phone but even nine months later, only a handful of third-party apps support it. The top features the lesser-spotted headphone socket. The bottom a universal USB-C socket for power. The phone has stereo speakers that are very good. There’s no wireless charging, nor official water-resistance rating. Specifications Screen: 5.8in FHD+ OLED (443ppi) Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G RAM: 6GB of RAM Storage: 128GB Operating system: Android 10 Camera: 12.2MP rear, 8MP selfie-camera Connectivity: LTE, eSIM, wifi 5, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, headphones and GPS Dimensions: 144 x 69.4 x 8.2mm Weight: 143g

Upgraded from my Pixel 1 XL looking to get better battery life. While I can't say I am disappointed I was expecting a bit better performance from that area. Other than that, for $300, this is the best phone I have ever owned. This past new year's eve I was taking family pictures and had everyone complementing the quality of the images, with some people saying they looked better than their IPhone 12. Overall this phone is a no brainer, great performance and picture quality for an amazing price.

I love this phone! I have a Spigen case and glass screen protector, which has protected it from drops, scratches, and cracks. I previously had a Motorola phone, and this one is a huge upgrade! I've had this for a year and a half with no issues. It's fast, has a crisp screen, and takes great photos (including in low light, as advertised). I love the size of this phone too. I don't plan to upgrade anytime soon.
