The best smartphone for 300$ with excellent camera

Good battery life. Not much bloatware. Fast and responsive.

I ordered the Pixel 4a for my husband as his first Pixel phone and overall he is happy with it (His previous phone was a Samsung that was truly on its last legs, so it didn't take much to be a step up from that.), but I really expected more from the newest Pixel on the scene. I got a Pixel 3aXL when it first came out and was blown away. In comparison to the 3aXL the 4a is significantly smaller but does not feel lacking when you are using it. In fact, the smaller footprint allows it to fit much more nicely in pockets without feeling like you are missing out. The main complaint is that if you are using the phone when a call comes in, it often fails to pop onto the screen, causing you to quickly try to find it in the notification drop down list. The battery life is okay and the camera quality is also okay, but neither are as good as I have come to expect from Google. Finally, the month long wait from the day ordered to the day that it was finally became available for pick up at the store was disappointing, especially because there were ones available from other carriers significantly sooner and the associate I spoke with on the phone before I finalized the order made it sound like they were getting more of them on the following day's truck. I'm not factoring that experience into the number of stars for the phone review, but I did feel like it was important to share.

Husband loves the Google Pixel phone. He is not into a lot of the apps.

I love Pixel phones... moved from a 2XL to this 4a..... same screen size with no bezels and much lighter. More than half what I paid for my 2XL !! Great simple phone.... Had BB put a glass screen protector on it and I bought a case... head phone jack and USB C ...all great features . No need for 5G yet so this was the one for me.

This is the best budget Android phone you can get. There is no obvious shortcomings. It has a nice screen, excellent camera and battery life, and good enough build and performance. The only thing I wish to have for this phone is wireless charging but at this price, really no complaints! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a budget Android phone.

Great value . Navigation is simple and intuitive. Speaker for phone is fine if you don't turn up the volume to max. This one is for my better half. Am seriously thinking that it's my next phone when the current one dies. Not looking for super hi-tech camera features. However it does perform very well for those family pics and vacation memories.

I like the picture the camera takes. But dislike the battery life. Doesn't last a day. The phone lock screen sometimes doesn't respond when trying to type in numbers to unlock phone, so I need to restart phone to try to get into phone. I recommend this phone for the camera and functionality--- being able to do what you need.

I really like this phone. I think its probably one of the best you can get in it's price range and I don't think most people need to spend more for the pricier phones. One issue I've had was with the GPS, however. It became very inaccurate and unusable, even after multiple calibrations. I had to do a factory reset and all has been well, since.

I like this phone alot so far. I'm coming from the OG Pixel. This one is obviously better in almost ever way. I do believe the upgrades over the years have made this phone worth the money at this price point. I still need to go through the phone to find all the different little nuances. For most part the controls are same as OG Pixel

This phone is just what I needed. The phone updated to Android 11. just after I started it the first time. Everything transferred over from my old phone easily with the included transfer adapter. The battery lasts for longer then one day, which is just what i wanted. The phone response is very quick. Overall, this is the best phone I have ever had.

I loved google phone, you can't beat the price and quality !!! The new Pixel 4a has a clean Android interface with three years of guaranteed updates. And in terms of design, the Pixel 4a seems like a much more advanced version. Great camera performance, Nice Colorful & Sharp Display and Compact & Comfortable Size.

Takes good photos, Battery last reasonably long. Doesn't have bloat ware.
