Great value for this phone. Very versatile for the price paid and easy to use.

This purchase replaced a Google Pixel 2 XL which I owned for several years. I was attracted by the Google product because they come, unlocked, have automatic security updates and provided a quality product. With the first phone I was delighted at being able to buy an English, multi-pocket protective cover which allowed me to eliminate my billfold at great convenience (unfortunately the cover manufacturer, "Snakehive London," has yet to make a Pixel 4a product forcing use of a less satisfactory cover). That aside, the new smartphone is convenient to carry and has good portability with a "work-around." Overall, the Pixel 4a provides a generally acceptable smartphone delivering flexibility, uniform quality and good battery life at a intermediate user price where there is not a requirement for leading edge technology. One area of complaint is the existence of an awkward setup process which at times makes it difficult to control transitions between functions for the average user; e.g telephone and photography. Regardless, the Pixel 4a is getting heavy use and I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I've had 2 of these phones after the first screen cracked and best buy didn't have the ability to fix it or transfer my data despite the USB and internals of the phone working. The phone regularly crashes the running simple apps like Google maps, Instagram and Facebook. I got this phone to move away from Samsung, but the android UI is somehow even worse on this phone. The battery life is decent but the screen brightness has to be above 90% in any remotely bright environment. Simple phone search functions just bring up internet links from Google instead of what's actually on your phone. I've also had multiple charging issues with the phone as the USB c housing seems to collect dust and be pretty weak. It's advertised as a bare minimum phone but it struggles heavily with that.

The Pixel 4a far exceeded my expectations and for an amazing price!

Great phone that's compact with good battery life but still a good size screen. Awesome cameras that compete with $1000+ phones. Loud stereo speakers that gets monthly Android updates for at least 3 years so never out of date. Only thing it's missing is wireless charging and water proof and it would be perfect! Works on just about any cell carrier so it's a no Brainer at this price!

No need to charge for 23 hours plus the recharge is way too quick. Thx Google
