I bought this for my high school son. He does not like big phones. The size is perfect for him. The camera is great and fingerprint works perfect. No complains. The price is also very reasonable.

I bought this phone to replace a Samsung A5 that lasted longer than I expected. I like how easy it is to use with google voice assist and how the google apps work smoothly. It’s plenty fast enough and good storage. I bought this for the camera and it seems good enough. Battery is okay but it drained scary fast when using messenger video chat for a couple of hours. Overall I’m happy paying $350 odd for a phone that runs apps quickly, has a good camera and storage, and a streamlined operating system. It’s plastic but solid and the rear fingerprint scanner is in a good place. Is it the best phone you can buy? No. Is it great for the price? I’d say yes.

Fantastic phone with a GREAT camera for a steal of a price. For a mid priced phone, this thing outperforms considerably more expensive phones I've had. I wouldn't think twice to buy or recommend this device to anyone. Take into account that Google pushes OS updates to Pixel phones first, and it's a no-brainer if you want reliability, really good performance and a great camera (including low light, unlike some phones) and your on a budget. Only drawbacks are NO wireless charging (not a deal breaker), plastic body (what do you expect for sub $400), and not rated for any type of water resistance (shouldn't have your phone near water anyway). Still, 5 stars!

Probably the best bang for your money. Lacks some things that the big brother Pixel 5 has. If you can live without it being waterproof, no wireless charging and an average (but still good) screen, then get this over the 5. It has a plastic frame to keep the cost down while the 5 has an aluminium frame, so as long as you aren't throwing the phone around should be perfectly fine. For me, I wanted some of the extras in the 5 so went that way, but if your budget allow for the 5, then I would recommend 4a as a good entry level phone. Processor is a little weak, but unless you're a gamer, probably won't notice any issues. The 4a or 4a 5g are both really good phones I'd recommend in thier price range.

Great value for money phone with probably the best camera in this price range. Works very well with latest android OS and is very handy with a perfect size. Would definitely recommend!

Good for basic phone. Cord lasted about a year. Did not like that google has changed how the zoom functions on maps and pictures which makes the zoom function difficult at best and impossible at worst. Also had issues with google chrome going through spurts of auto closing. Using a replacement phone that is less than 1 year and starting to have a reduced battery life. Still a decent phone for cost at the time it was purchased. Best buy was so much faster than buying directly through google that kept extending the delivery time, so I cancelled and got it within the weekend from best buy.

Bought this as a tester phone for native app development. Though this is not my daily driver, I have to say, I am super impressed with the quality and size of this phone. The soft touch materials used are really nice feeling. Coming from an iPhone 11 or 12 this is so much more pleasant for someone with average sized hands to hold as it's significantly thinner. I was pretty upset to see that the processor benchmarks at half of the performance of the iphone 12 or 11, Google really should have choosen a flagship Snapdragon chip. But all in all, it still feels very snappy and is a pleasure to use.

Love the Google Pixel 4a, great battery life, fast (enough for my needs). Does everything I want it to like, check email, phone, text, social media, etc....Switched from a Samsung Galaxy S7 which was getting old and slowing down. Didn't need or want all the high end features of the new Galaxy, don't need 5g (until there is way more coverage), and didn't want to pay almost three times more than what I paid for the pixel 4a. It is obviously missing some of the higher end features, is not waterproof to 6', doesn't have wireless charging, but I don't need any of that. Works awesome for all my need.

I originally had a Pixel 4 XL and after I cracked the screen, the phone had been discontinued so I decided to get a 4a. I was concerned about its performance it used a slightly less powerful processor, but those worries have since been cast aside. This phone is great! Great performance and at a price point that won't leave your wallet hurting. The only feature I wish it had was some form of water resistance. It is 100% not protected against water, whereas the Pixel 4 XL was IP68 so I wasn't too worried about it.

This is a great phone for a price. I would call it the "Best Value" in mobile phones out there today. I don't believe 5G is necessary at this point and paying a premium for a 5G phone unnecessary. I'm sure this phone will provide me everything I need for at least 3 years and then my next phone will be 5G at cost a lot less then today. Right now the battery is lasting me 3 days on a charge and I consider myself an average user, can't ask for more. Also, Pixel phones get Android updates for 3 years other phones just get them for 1 year, another plus.

I have the Pixel 3XL and hope to keep it for many years but had the uncommon expanding battery issue. I ended up getting this as I was not ready to splurge for 5G. I like how easy and familiar it is to use. I actually like the smaller size and it doesn't weigh as much in my pants. I love how there is no notch as well. I am glad Google gave free earbuds for the 3XL but were too cheap to give them for this one. Oh well. I guess it is the cheaper price point. I like the fingerprint on the back of the phone too. Camera is always excellent.

This phone works great. Battery life is almost a day and half if you dont putting a heavy load on it. Screen is perfect size. Something people always say when they pick my phone up is " OMG this things is light" Wich it is. Dosnt feel cheap but with the plastic body it is way lighter than an I phone and I love it. Android on google is always smooth. Camera works great just like always. Front camera has a little fuzzyness but there probably working on an update to fix.

Originally I was planning to replace my 3+ year old Moto Z Play (OG), which even today has unbelievable battery life (since my usage is lower now, it will easily get through 3-4 days with about an hour of screen time each day) with a Moto G Power, which is widely believed to have the best battery life of any current generation device. The need for upgrade was more driven by the fact that 32GB of internal storage and 2GB RAM is just not enough for 2020, and it was often running out of storage, impacting usability. I've been an oddball Moto user since the OG Moto X, which I still had as a backup After some research, I decided to upgrade a bit more to the Pixel 4a, which reminds me very much of that beloved Moto X in terms of size and function! I expected to see a dropoff in battery life compared with the Moto Z play, but was happy to see the adaptive battery do a great job keeping standby drain low. I can actually get similar or even greater screen time using the Pixel 4a as well, but it remains to be seen how long the battery will last over time! The Pixel 4a's camera is as advertised. Fantastic portrait mode, with a bonus for being able to portrait-ize photos that were taken by a different device! Night mode is also as advertised - even able to take decent people photos, provided they are able to stay still for the exposure period. I have not yet been able to test the astrophotography mode, but greatly looking forward to it! The eSim and DSDS (dual-sim-dual-standby) is a welcome and somewhat unexpected treat. As a frequent international traveler, I've become accustomed to carrying two devices (one for when I'm in the US, and one for when I'm overseas). With the eSIM, I am able to effectively carry two SIM profiles with just one phone, eliminating the need to carry two devices! I did have to return the first Pixel 4a I received due to a creaky body, but the second one has been good so far.

Have had the phone since August 26th. Still fast and snappy as you would expect. Battery life has been good with being able to get through a whole day even when listening to bluetooth earbuds and youtube music for 5 hrs a day. Display is also nice does seem dimmer compared to my last phone the OnePlus 6t but still gets plenty bright when you need it to. No wireless charging and not waterproof but that's nothing I cared about. Would definitely recommend if you just want a phone that works and has a great camera

The phone has a state-of-the-art camera module installed and Google's photography software makes the best use of it. For this price point, this is easily the best phone you can get which has a flagship-level photo-taking capability. Apart from the camera, the phone performs well in all the other areas such as UI smoothness, battery life and others. There are a few bugs in the software such as issues with the notification vibration settings (sometimes the vibration does not occur), or nearby sharing failing on some devices, but apart from that the stock Android experience is a good one.

For the money it is quite a great phone. Yes, there are things that I miss from my Moto X4, but the advantages in speed and Android 11 and the camera are worth it. The interface is smooth and fast. The fingerprint reader is lightning fast. I also like the size. It is smaller than any phone I have had for several years. It fits better in my hand and pocket. The screen is bright and easy to view. I love many of the new features from Android 11. I do wish that the fingerprint scanner were on the front instead of the back, but the screen fills the front side so completely - there is no room.

Battery life is decent, easily able to make it through the day but will need to remember to plug in each night - might not be able to make it through 2 days on one charge. Camera is surprisingly clear and the colors really pop. Night view is also fun to play with. Comparing side-by-side footage between my Samsung A50, this one is able to see alot farther and more detailed in low-lighting. Phone is fast and setup was quite painless: just connected the old phone to this one with a USB-C to USB-C cable (which it came with) and it copied apps, contacts, pictures, and everything else right on over.

What can I say about this little marvel let's start with all the good I guess great screen Battery life Clean software Modern design Excellent cameras Good haptics And for some of the bad Lag from time to time Terrible auto brightness (constantly making adjustments while reading) I would say if you're looking for a sub $400 phone I doubt you will find one better than this current time or maybe even in the near future especially since you know the phone will get updates for several years to come not only security wise but feature wise which is not something all manufacturers do.
