Happy With Google Pixel 4a with 5G

Love it!!!! Had to order my phone online because a clerk did not know that there is a difference between the Google Pixel 4a and the 4a with 5G. The Google Pixel 4a with 5G is bigger so the screen is larger and response is much faster than the LG phone I was using before.

Nice phone. beautiful screen and a big performance boost over my old Moto E5. I bought "open box - excellent" and the phone was in good shape but did not include accessories like the transfer fob and SIM card tool. Fortunately, I have those from other phone purchases.

Good phone but android OS can’t compete with Apple IOS. Better app quality. Android does have super fast battery charging and long time battery storage.

I have had my Pixel 2XL since it came out and absolutely loved it. I was sad when it finally started showing its age. But I picked up the Pixel 4a (5G) and I am really impressed. I love the wide camera angle and the battery life is really good.

Was still rocking my OG XL. Upgraded to the 4a5g. Same clean interface but faster and smoother. Great camera. On Fi I get 5g even in mid to small size cities in WI. Couldn't be much happier.

We purchased a Android phone from then and then had to go back to try to learn how to use. The agent was great!! He knew his "stuff" and had the patience to work with us as we had used other types of cell phones and needed to teach us the terminology

Excellent Android phone. Great value for the price. Easy to set up service. I wanted an Android phone not a Samsung or iPhone. It was easy to get setup and going. Much better than what I had previously.

I gave it 4 stars because it's a great for what it is. I am pixel 4xl owner and wanted to switch. But 4xl is just a better phone spec-wise and I prefer the face unlock to the fingerprint scanner. It's a downgrade for me. I still like phone though.

Went to my local cell phone service center to find out they did not have in stock. Went to Best Buy and walked out in fifteen minutes with the phone in hand. Really like the features on this phone and it works smoothly with all my Google apps.

I had very first Pixel and it was losing settings, and now this 4a 5g device is not any better in losing settings (for example, it locks device rotation whenever it wants, or doesn't remember brightness settings). In addition, the battery, with 3850mAh when used for wifi only- is not extremely long lasting. I don't know what will happen years from now, but after using it for 1 month- I'm not happy at all with all battery performance problems I'll come across years from now.

The Pixel 4a 5G is the latest iteration of the "lite" version of its flagship phone, though I find it difficult finding what makes it the lesser product. There are features that the 4a 5G has that I would have gladly paid more for over the Pixel 5, like the headphone jack and slightly larger 6.2" screen, though the wireless charging (and reverse wireless charging) features didn't make the cut. Coming from a Pixel 3, the larger phone is obviously heavier, and the huge camera panel in the back practically begs for a case as the camera does not sit flush with the back panel. A larger screen means that reaching for the edges of the screen, where most of the UI elements that my thumbs are used to, now sit just out of reach, requiring a slight hand adjustment every time. That might be why the stock UI default is the gesture style instead of the old three button. Not being a fan of the gesture style since it is one extra movement to use the back button (as well as swiping in from the left already being a gesture for many apps that I already use), I changed back to the three button mode post haste. The centerpiece of the phone has got to be the camera. Double-tapping the power button brings up the camera in an instant. Zero shutter lag means you capture the exact image you intend. This 5G version of the 4a also borrows the ultrawide angle lens found in the Pixel 5, something the regular 4a lacks. The ultrawide lens lets you capture more of a scene, but also gives subjects that distorted funhouse mirror look. I think that the best thing about this phone is just how unremarkable it is. While that may sound bad, it's honestly refreshing to have a phone behave the way you expect with nothing extra. Apps start up quickly, security updates come regularly directly from Google. Unless you really need the waterproofing and wireless charging, or some kind of gimmick like a folding screen or a pen, this is the phone to get. So long as you are using a provider that offers it in a supported location, the 5G download speeds are blazing fast. In my area I was pulling down 185 Mbps using the Speedtest app, and 200 Mbps according to Netflix's FAST app. I received the fabric case to review, and while it does the job of protecting the back of the phone, especially the protruding camera, I find it too scratchy to use.

This is possibly the worst song I've had since I've had smartphones. Speakers sound horrible. When you hit the microphone button to do speech to text it makes this metallic sound and I went to the repair place and they just said that was normal I don't think so. I mean I paid $500 plus dollars for this so I'm kind of stuck with it but now I wished I would have just bought a used phone and or got just the Google Pixel 4. I do notice in a few places that I've been and Birmingham Alabama a very populated area I do get a 5G signal every now and then. I know there's going to be more and more and that will probably improve my phone but for now my phone is smarter than the network.

Purchased this device because my previous Samsung device broke. Had never thought about a pixel device before. I'm glad that I made this purchase. Battery life is somewhat short but otherwise it's a good device.

Phone was fantastic to use with the time I had with it. Battery on the other hand is a different story. Doesn't last long as I was hoping for but nonetheless still a good phone. Just bring a charger wherever you go.

I am loving this pure Google experience. I had a Nexus tablet a few years ago and always wanted to try the Google phone. Glad I got this phone. Really like the way the Google assistant helps me screen spam calls!
