Frustrating, Google Should Be Better Than This
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Pixel fan for awhile, but the 5 is not worth it. I've had it for under a year and I've been frustrated with it for the majority of ownership. Most frustrating is it is glitchy and laggy. Camera can sometimes take forever to open, apps will just shut down. Now my battery drains over night (I was at 80% the other night at midnight, I lucky woke up on my own and my phone was dead at 7am, I thought it was a fluke but it has happened multiple times now). I recommended the earlier Pixel versions nonstop to friends - unfortunately, not the case for the 5.

NEVER BUY A PIXEL PHONE- 6 phones in 7 months
Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst phone made in 10 years I have now gone through 4 of the pixel 5s due to very extreme and concerning issues with the phones. The biggest issue across all google phones right now (also tried a pixel 3 with the most recent software update and the pixel 4a5g as well as 6 different pixel 5) is that the cell service drops constantly, it appears to be a software issue, calls texts and data all stop working randomly and often, around 8-14 times every day, this is all documented and consistent with all pixel 5 phones we have owned and tested. Google refuses to help or even acknowledge (i also want to note we have google.fi but also tried sim cards from Verizon and Sprint/T-Mobile) and even during the pandemic i travel for work so this has been an issue in 42 states and 7 countries (its the google products i now use my iPhone XS i had from before because its the only way i can work). And these are not even the scary problems The first phone melted and caught fire because it was plugged into the car charger while running GPS and Bluetooth, apparently this was a dangerous combination for the phone because it happened to the second one but i was able to unplug it and shut it off once the “composite metal casing’ started to melt, (google claims the case is metal but its a plastic) google also refused to help and they actually told me it was impossible but i could file a claim with Bestbuy because thats where i bought the phone. All 4 devices have battery issues that google tried to fix with software updates, unfortunately these updates messed up the way the phone registers touches on the display, this was proven when we attempted to resolve the issue with geeksquad techs. Google still refused to help, got a new phone, another issue with the updates is Bluetooth will disconnect when battery saver is on and the screen goes from resting to back on. Every time. The audio will keep “playing” with no sound or even signal being broadcasted from the phones Bluetooth. It says its connected but the Bluetooth device itself shows as disconnected.

Worst Purchase Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the biggest regrets in my life. The phone gets 2 stars due to the Google environment overall as well as a sturdy phone. Other than that, bugs for days, slow cpu speeds, poor bluetooth quality and I can keep going.

Pixel interferes with Zoom & teleconference
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this or any other Pixel phone under any circumstances. They are hardwired to link to your PC's WiFi network and interfere with any application that employs the microphone -- especially Zoom and other teleconferencing apps. (The mic on the Pixel interferes with the mic on your PC, creating reverb/echo.) Moreover, you can't make a phone call using your Pixel anywhere within the 30-foot WiFi radius for the same reason.

Quality not solid
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the years, our family purchased several Pixel phones, honestly speaking, the quality of Pixel phones is not good at all. We had the screens replaced, reset many times and "flash screens" happened on our phones. (the phone basically useless after "flash screen" happens) Not recommended.

Regrets
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this for 1 hour now. I regretpurchasing it. It feels flimsy, it's tiny, no expandable memory, speakers are garbage, issues just trying to get into my apps screen. How do I get my money back?
