I had a Pixel 1 XL for 4 years and it finally died on me. After having a Samsung A51 for two weeks and the screen shattering ( with a glass cover on + case ) I had to find something new. I am glad I went with the Pixel 5. It is just an overall great cellular experience, very slim and modern feeling, yet elegant at the same time.

Moving from pixel 2 to this one was very simple. Also like that they added back the fingerprint unlock. Works very well. If you want to have an android phone, this is what I would get. I use to get other (samsung or others), but performance on these for the cost is very nice. Software functionality is great.

The Pixel 5 is one of the best smartphones available, and one of the best Pixel phones to date. The best in Google software experience, amazing battery life (easily 1-2 days, no question) and a sharp, vivid screen that fills out an easy-to-hold body make for an excellent smartphone experience. Oh, and the camera is top-notch.

Love Pixel phones but this one was a bit smaller than I would like. I have an S10e which is similar, but I wanted to go bigger so I ended up trying out the 4a 5G instead, which I didn't end up keeping either because I wanted a higher refresh screen too. If you like smaller sized devices, this one is very nice.

Had to replace my Pixel 4XL due to recent battery issues (also because Google discontinued the line). Although this is smaller, it was a wonderful investment. I've had Pixel phones since the first one came out, and I haven't been disappointed yet. This is a MUST buy if you're #TEAMANDROID and want a Pixel phone

So far so good, I switched over from the pixel 2. The controls are a little different so it takes a little to readjust to the new way of navigating the phone. Had the phone for a week, no problems so far. Does everything a smart phone is supposed to do.

IT has a really good battery life. I play a lot of mobile games and I would say I still get a whole day charge with it. I probably charge it around 7 to 8pm, after being out of the house since the early morning. The Pixel series always brings out the great in Google and this one is amazing.

    Solid Update from Pixel 2

This is a solid upgrade from the Pixel 2. It's slightly bigger with almost no bezel and has lots more RAM and double the storage of my old Pixel 2. The software threw me for a loop right away defaulting to gestures, so I didn't know how to get to the home screen but Googling the issue identified an answer to the familiar 3-button navigation.

    Wrongs made right

We have given you 3 stars all because of the store representative who worked with us. We ordered a green phone but a black on was shipped. We ordered a phone case but it was the wrong size. We ordered a screen, and it was correct. We took the shipment to the local store and discovered discrepancies. Milton Smith went out of his way to make things "right" for us. When he tried ordering the correct case, we saw where the stores provisioning system had data entry errors. Milton was attentive, understanding, efficient, and exhausted all possibilities to right the wrongs. Without him, Best Buy would have received a "D-" in our eyes. He was attentive at the original sale and when we returned to set the phone up. He did not rush or make us feel an inconvenience. While Best Buy needs to focus on its provisioning processes, hiring Milton Smith was something Best Buy did very well. He is clearly an asset to the Tysons Corner store. Sincerely, Karl & Karin Ritchey

Decent phone. I've had it about a year now and I really enjoy the Android experience and the Pixel-exclusive features that are a part of the OS, but the quality of the phone has fallen off after 1 year. I may switch to an iPhone long-term, but if I stay on Android I will probably look at Samsung instead.

The phone has been very glitchy for me. It can't do simple things like auto rotate when turned on as well as tap and lift to check phone don't work. All troubleshooting steps google tried didn't work. They said wait for the devs to do something. Much like what they told me on the numerous Pixel 2xl camera issues they had. They never fixed them. Outside of that the phone is ok. It's a decent size for single hand use. It's a medium size screen and the display is of decent quality. Its fast enough with slight delays in processing pictures or video. They omitted the neural core which helped previous models. The phone is overpriced for what it is. This should have been no more than $599 because the competition has their mid-range phone at 699 but contain flagship phone chipsets.

I think the Pixel 5 is perfect for what a phone should be. Plenty of power, sized exactly right, and great ecosystem with pure Android. I used to chase the latest and greatest flagships, but I'm super content with the "mid-range" specs of the Pixel 5, it outshines the competition in so many other areas.

The google pixel 5 is a great phone and not having to deal with Verizon in person was the very best part of this purchase. The people at Best Buy can activate the phone right there so you don't have to deal with the jerk phone company directly.
