I've had this phone for exactly one month and have already had issues with this phone. The phone periodically doesn't recognize my fingerprint. The screen has frozen up on me numerous times and for some reason it shut down and got stuck on the reboot loop for about 45 minutes. It's past my 14 days to exchange but I wish I could exchange for something different. These are too many problems for it to be brand new and newly purchased.

Screen unlock is a little squirrelly. Has a fair amount of settings. The biggest advantage IMO with this phone is it's seemless integration with a Google eco-system. It's like a handheld remote for your google automation.

Good size. But price is expensive and uses sub-par 765G snapdragon chip instead of the 865 chip. I wouldn't buy this again nor recommend this phone.

Wanted to love it, mostly did but the screen was just too small for me after getting use to larger phones. Make a larger model and I'm there. Stock Android is a joy

It is a nice phone. I was just use to the Samsung keyboard for texting, so I had to return this phone and get a Samsung S21 5G.

I received the Google Pixel 5 5G at no cost for an honest review. My first impressions are good. The phone is very light to hold with smooth curves, but it is not slippery due to its lightly textured matte rear surface. The rear feels slightly plastic-y but not quite to the point where it feels cheap. I was able to easily transfer most of my apps and settings with a guided process using an included USB-C cable. Coming from a different android phone, transfer was painless and took 8 minutes (50gb). After that, all the apps automatically downloaded and the Pixel was looking familiar again. The fingerprint reader almost blends in with the back, and in my first few days of usage I kept accidentally touching the camera lens while searching for it. The screen on this phone is beautiful. Watching even 1080P UHD videos on it is mesmerizing. The colors are vivid and true to life. The only caveat is that the front camera lens will be on the corner when you decide to expand your video to fill the whole screen. Phone calls were normal, without anything to report. Night photos with minimal light were beautiful. In fact, in the Pixel 5, I’d say the best feature is the camera (you could probably write a big manual on camera settings alone). With 12mp and 16mp ultrawide, you can get some large shots in, even at close range. In particular, I found the ability to do wide photos and wide selfies without having to move the camera handy. One of my gripes is in fact the physical design of the camera on the phone itself. It sticks out of the phone, which means when you lay it on the counter with the screen side up, the camera lens will make contact with the surface (at least the bottom of it will). This is particularly annoying for those of us who don’t like to use cases. Placing the phone face down may not be a better solution either, but at least it’s completely flat on the screen side. This just means I’ll have to get a case. My other minor gripe is the sound quality. Not that I expect much from cellphone speakers, but considering this is Google’s only phone, I expected better. Music sounds nasal in general. By the way, no headphone jack, if you care to know. In terms of performance, the phone delivers and it is extremely responsive, even with 169 apps that I loaded on it. I like that it comes with 128 gigs, but I don’t like that it is not expandable. It has 5G and while I live in an area of California with AT&T 5G, I must say that there was no difference for me in terms of 4G and 5G speeds. I did not go in depth and only performed simple download/upload tests, so this may require more testing. I noticed that every once in a while, the Wi-Fi would drop within my house. I’ll have to test it out more, but it was only happening with this phone. Lastly, the battery did last me a few days with normal use, and, while I did not field test it, I can say that it is more efficient that anything I’ve used in the past, especially considering the small size of the phone. Overall, I would recommend it, keeping in mind that it’s plenty for most people. However, if you like premium features such as heartrate sensors or a more premium-feeling shell, I’d go a different route.

Really disappointed. I have owned every Google phone back to the Nexus line. This one was my breaking point. The battery life is good and the fingerprint sensor is great for 2020. However the speakers are just awful. I cant hear people when they call, and I cant hear videos when they play. The build quality is so-so. This is the most basic of phones it's just forgettable.

The Pixel 5 supports 5G if your carrier supports it. 5G network support differs by carrier. Visit g.co/pixel/networkinfo to learn about which carriers support 5G on Pixel phones. Make sure to check with your carrier for more details. googlepixel

The only good thing about this phone is battery. Every other aspect is not worth the price at all. Laggy. Noisy front camera pictures. Rear camera pictures won't look real. They look like they are heavily enhanced by software. Display is not good.

Product took a tumble off the couch onto the hardwood floor and the screen shattered, with an OtterBox case on. The impact in one corner completely shattered the OLED screen. I can't really blame the case because the drop was maybe 1 or 2 feet. It shocked me that the screen was so fragile to minor impact. The screen is at least $300 for the part alone and upon research, an OLED screen is near impossible to replace yourself (I've done this before on other phones.) I decided to use that money to buy a refurbished version of my Galaxy Note instead. I appreciate the lack of bloat on the pixel but it never like a great experience overall. It felt and acted like a budget phone, which I guess it is for $500. Now it sits in a drawer in my office and I don't think I'll buy a Google phone again.
