    Missed Potential

Like with previous Google Pixels, Google made some questionable design decisions. They always find some way to gimp the phone in a way that makes it difficult to recommend. The worst issue is the outdated Samsung modem they use. This causes multiple signal drops per day and poorer overall signal quality. The nest thing is the optical fingerprint sensor. It is very slow and unreliable. They should have used a ultrasonic one with this phone being a flagship. The third issue is the Tensor chip, it's effectively just a rebranded Samsung Exynos chip. It runs incredibly hot. During casual browsing the phone heats up as if I was playing a game. Then while using Android Auto I have to hold the phone in front of my A/C vent so it doesn't overheat. Another minor issue is the display quality. It is not as high quality as the one in the the S22 Ultra or iPhone 13 Pro. It doesn't get as bright and it has some off axis color shifting The phone looks great and has an amazing camera but due to the preciously mentioned issues I cannot recommend it. I wish they would have just charged $100 more and made a real flagship without cutting corners on the modem, fingerprint sensor, and processor.

My only real qualm with this phone is that if it gets hot, it cuts the service out on me. So if I’m sitting in my car and talking on the phone, I have maybe 20-30 minutes before it cuts the service out and the call drops. Never had a phone do that before. I’m past the return window otherwise I would have returned it in favor of something else.

Already starting to deal with glitches after only 6 months of use. Doesn't have an audio plug so you will need to purchase an adapter if you use headphones with a cord. Most people use Bluetooth ear buds now so it's not a huge issue. Great camera quality which was my main reason for purchasing this phone. Beautiful screen quality.

Beautifully designed phone. Still one of the best cameras. However my 6 pro would get hot from just little use. Battery life wasn't great and charging is slow. Plenty of bugs still with the software. I returned it for a OnePlus 9 pro .

If only NOT the curved screen! I work on the beach, I need screen protector, and will not do with the sticker one. There is no glass protection for this model, so I went with the standard pixel 6, and I LOVE IT. From a pixel 4, better all around, but most importantly, battery life is SO much better. Go with the regular PIXEL 6.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro is everything I expected. Fast. Smooth display. 5G. The improvements Google made in the camera app is second-to-none. From what I can see so far, the Tensor chip is a big win. The two issues I've seen so far is; (1) Google still has not completely fixed the onscreen fingerprint scanner. It's still hit or miss. With or without a screen protector; and (2) the battery life is not quite as good as I had hoped. It will last a day under normal/heavy use but my Pixel 4XL lasted more than two under the same use conditions.

    First Pixel Phone

This is the first Pixel I've owned, and so far I'm pretty impressed. Excellent camera, smooth experience, and stock Android make for a great overall experience. ***HOWEVER*** My first phone came with a hardware defect in the camera, and upon contacting Google I was advised to bring my NEW phone into a repair shop to have it fixed. This would have compromised the IP68 water resistance, and cost me time and money to go there even if it was under warranty. Many of the new Pixels exhibit several hardware related bugs, easily found on Reddit, and if you purchase one I highly recommend due diligence to ensure you can return it within the 15 day window Best Buy provides. That aside, my replacement phone from Best Buy is awesome, and I definitely suggest anyone interested check it out. The regular, non-Pro version is a better value IMO, however I love the superior screen on this model, as well as the telephoto lens and extra 4gb of RAM. TL;DR: excellent phone, one of the best of 2021. Buy it if you love photography. Make sure you check it for hardware issues however, which are all easy to read up on.

The best google pixel you can buy. Great camera, good memory, easy user interface. The crystal clear 120Hz display is amazing. The cons are the finger print reader is slower compared to other phones, no face unlock (could come in software update), and the battery life can be short if you use the 120Hz display a lot.
