It has regular updates for security and for the Android operating system. The battery life is good and the phone functions well as do the apps on the phone. I purchased two of these phones, one from Amazon and one from Best Buy because Amazon was out of stock.

good news & not so good news

Briefly stated, if you don't mind a battery that lasts approx 12 hours, this phone is for you. Side note. My 2 previous moto phone could go for approx 2 days without recharging and I haven't changed my usage patterns.

As for the system or talk, Android 13 or the most recent and very fluid. I don't think I change to 7 since in this one I do the same.

We changed the SIM card in the store and had the new Pixel 6a up and running in just a few minutes with all her contacts and data intact. She only lost a couple photos from her old phone that hadn't uploaded to Google Photos before the old phone died. Pixel 6a is working great and takes fantastic photos.
