Customers are saying
Customers are satisfied with the Pixel 6a 128GB (Unlocked)'s camera quality, battery life, ease of use, and its price point. Many appreciate the phone's size and performance, while some find the lack of wireless charging and the tendency for the device to get warm to be drawbacks. The absence of a headphone jack and the standard refresh rate were also noted as missing features by some users. Overall, positive feedback on core functionalities outweighs concerns about missing features for most customers.

Update for Pixel 3
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new phone since my Pixel 3 wouldn't update any more. The Pixel 6a is a great alternative.

Size is great, but the bluetooth doesn't work.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best part about this phone is the size (are you listening other Android makers?). It easily fits into a pocket or purse, so can be used about anywhere. I use a cellphone for phone calls, texting and taking pictures, so it doesn't have to be huge. There is a big glitch in the phone though. After 13-16 minutes of being connected by blue-tooth to speakers, the sound completely cuts out. The phone also won't connect properly to my car. It shows that the phone and car are connected, but no sound will come through the radio. I also miss some of the capabilities of my old Android phone (ease of using the flashlight), but believe I'll get used to this one. Appears I chose the wrong model of phone to switch to Google, but its the only option out there for a <6.1" phone.

Amazing phone packed with features & few downsides
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google has struck it hard on the Budget phone market with Pixel 6A that costs in the mid 400 range. This is the best budget pixel yet as claimed by Google and I agree to it for various reasons that i have listed below. This is for sure not the obvious hands-down winner but it at least has some of the really cool chip, very good camera and the display. Pros: 1. Tensor chip - same as the flagship pixel models - Google has not compromised on the chip. This phone comes with the Tensor chip. Which means person with the Pixel 6A or Pixel 6 or even the Pixel 6 Pro get the same performance. This is truly spectacular. To me the chip matters the most which makes the phone really fast, responsive and makes the images or apps or even the pages load quickly. Google has simply nailed it. This is one of the primary reasons I would certainly recommend this phone for anyone who is really interested in a powerful budget phone. 2. Software - Similar to the chip, Google again did not compromise on the Software experience. All the Pixel 6 models including the flagship gets the same software experience and updates. Also since this is a Google phone, Android updates reach the Pixel phones first before the other manufacturers start seeing it after few months. 3. Overall exterior - The phone looks premium with the 2 tone colors with the camera bar behind differentiates it as the Pixel phone for anyone who looks into it from behind. Outside of the phone has aluminum rails, Power and Volume buttons on the right side, Sim card slot on the left side, 2 speakers at the bottom with USB C port at the bottom. 4. Display - The 6.1 inch 1080p display looks crystal clear with FHD+ and OLED with up to 60 Hz. 5. Powerful Camera - 12 MP Standard and Ultrawide camera is good but they are better on the Pixel 6 or 6 Pro. The photos are crisp and contrasty. Features like Magic eraser, Real tone for rendering skin tones and Face Unblur which freezes the subject's face when there is movement are value adds. Photos are looking clear in low light or indoor better than outdoor shots in some aspect 6. Fingerprint - Fingerprint reader is quite responsive and mostly works in the first attempt unless the hands are wet. 7. Smart Features - Google Assistant, Call screening works really well, get Wait times when calling a toll free number, Hold for me which enables Google assistant to wait on hold and alerts us with the ring tone when the representative becomes available. I really loved this feature as we can see Google Assistant displaying on screen the text when waiting on hold. Also Live translate is pretty cool. 8. Google includes the USB adapter for transferring data from the old device or even computer. 9. Stereo speakers are loud and clear. This gets the job done even when camping or even noisy places. 10. 5G support - This phone supports 5G speeds. I did not experience any lag while using the 5G data and the pages were loading really fast. Cons: 1. Slightly heavy - Though the phone looks smaller to grab it in one hand and operate single handedly, the phone itself is little heavy than my old Samsung S8. It would have been nice if Google could have worked on a lighter Pixel 6a. 2. No wireless charging - Google is able to provide this phone in the mid 400 range at the expense of axing the Wireless charging. Its not a big deal for some but for people like me, I really would love having it because both my cars have the wireless charging capability. I can save sometime that I spend searching for cables and inserting them. But this is something manageable. 3. Headphone jack - Pixel 6a looses the headphone jack. 4. Expandable storage - No expandable storage. There is a slot on the left of the phone only for the Sim card. This was a little disappointing as my previous phone had expandable storage on which i was using a 32 GB card which i am unable to use on this phone even though it has plenty of storage. 4. Display is dim especially in mid-day sun. 5. Video quality is still not that good. Especially when zoomed in the pixels started to get little blurry. 6. Water resistance rating - IP67 and not IP68 7. 4410 mAh hour Battery is good but not exceptional - Pixel's battery is still not the best. Adaptive Battery can last over over 24 hours. But having said that, it happens only for mild usage. If we tend to use the phone for watching videos or for even games it might drain the battery. 8. Glossy rearside may be prone to fingerprint impressions but it is not a big deal. Final verdict: If you are looking for a powerful budget phone with a very good processor same like flagship phones, good camera with smart features, Google software features that the other Android phones lack and getting the latest android update, just go for it unless you don't really care about losing the Wireless charging or Headphone jack or expandable storage.

Should have been a great phone.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a pixel owner since the pixel one and have always loved the stock android experience. However between my girlfriend's pixel 7 and my pixel 7 pro there have been so many annoying glitches that i made the switch to a Samsung Galaxy s23.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
