Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Pixel 6a 128GB (Unlocked)'s camera quality, battery life, ease of use, and its price point. Many appreciate the phone's size and performance, while some find the lack of wireless charging and the tendency for the device to get warm to be drawbacks. The absence of a headphone jack and the standard refresh rate were also noted as missing features by some users. Overall, positive feedback on core functionalities outweighs concerns about missing features for most customers.

I bought this as a gift for Christmas. It was very easy to set up and switch all the data and apps from the old phone to those one. Battery life is much better than the old phone. Overall very pleased with this phone.

It took ages for google maps to calibrate and work properly. Phone screen cracks easily (I am generally quite careful) and Google's customer service is unhelpful. Battery life shortened within months of use.

I'm a big fan of pixels. I think I've had quite a few. This pixel battery dies so quickly and gets hot even if it's not in use. I think the 4A or even the 5 is better.

The phone is a solid device at its price point. Unlocked makes it even more valuable as you can take it to any provider or take it abroad for extended stays and use it on a home countries network. Its an invaluable tool.

This phone is an upgrade from what I previously had with 32 gig storage. I like the customization you get with the user interface and the 128 gig storage is awesome. Price is reasonable for what you get

I’d heard good reviews from others so I bought one. It nota bad phone. It may even be a good phone but the learning curve for me is to steep. It isn’t intuitive and the swipe response seems inconsistent.

The Pixel 6a is as good as advertised. It has replaced my wife's Pixel 3 and there is a noticeable difference in speed. The apps appear to run smoother and the display is awesome.

Upgraded from my Galaxy S9. Really enjoying the features, battery lasts all day (not a big gamer), and size is perfect. Perfect phone if you aren't interested in the newest flagship!

Does everything you would expect a Pixel phone to do well. Solid construction, maybe a bit heavy in the hand. Love that it's not an enormous phone and that it fits in my pocket just like my old 3a.

The Pixel 6a is the lowest-priced model in the 6th generation of Google Pixel phones, but it doesn’t feel like a budget phone by any stretch. With the same Tensor processor as the more expensive models in the lineup, the 6a features very impressive performance. Overall, it’s a great option for someone who wants to upgrade their phone at a reasonable price. When I first unpacked the 6a, I noticed that it is relatively compact. That makes it easy to use with one hand, but still large enough to have plenty of on-screen real-estate. The phone is also fairly light – using a plastic back instead of glass probably helps with that. The phone feels well-built, but like most of my phones, this one went right into a protective case. I love the fact that the Pixel lineup has straight, unadulterated Android. I’ve tried phones from other manufacturers, and always find that their brand-specific tweaks to the system are more distracting than beneficial. Plus, those changes mean that the manufacturer needs to be involved when there is an Android update. With the Pixel, I get the operating system as it was intended, with the latest features and quick updates. I’ve already had the opportunity to try some of the cool Google Assistant features, like Direct My Call. That kicks in when you call a business with a touch-tone menu, transcribes the menu prompts, and puts option buttons right on the screen. No more wondering, “Which option did it say for changes to an existing reservation?” or “Did that thing say to press 5 for a representative or zero?” This was incredibly helpful when I was traveling last week during messy weather. I made multiple calls to the airline and car rental companies from a noisy airport, and being able to read the prompts and touch the one I wanted was amazing. I also really like the “At a glance” widget on my home screen. It captures the timeliest bits of info about my day (like weather, appointments and reservations, headset battery life, etc.) and displays them front and center. As far as performance goes, the phone has been consistently snappy and responsive. Scrolling menus, opening and switching apps, taking photos and videos, all feel smooth and quick. The battery life has been plenty to get through an entire day of moderate to heavy use. I tried the battery saver option while traveling, and was impressed at how it stretched things out long enough to get me into a second day. That said, I’ll probably only use that feature when absolutely necessary, and plan to recharge the 6a every night. Speaking of nightly charges, the system uses my morning wake-up alarm time to adjust charging speed, which apparently preserves battery life over time. I’m very happy with the Pixel 6a. Sure, there are some things that Google gave up in order to sell this at a lower price point. For example, there is no wireless charging, and the screen refresh rate is lower than the higher end phones (60 Hz vs 90 Hz). My last phone had wireless charging, and I never used it, so I don’t miss it. And the screen refresh rate feels fine to me, but maybe someone more focused on that sort of thing will be bothered by it. I also note that there is no headphone jack. I mostly use Bluetooth headsets but would occasionally plug into my old phone. I may end up missing that feature, but I suspect that I’ll just get used to Bluetooth or nothing quite easily. Put it all together, and the 6a is a phone with great features, a good battery, at a friendly price. I’d gladly recommend it to anyone who wants a high-end experience but doesn’t need the premium materials or high-end price tag.

Great phone. Obviously the screen is glass, but outer shell is plastic. I like that, it's very light phone compared to my iphone 12 pro. I like everything about it except: the in screen fingerprint sensor. DOES NOT work reliably. Even with android update 13 and increasing touch sensitivity, it works less than 50% of the time. I just use a PIN to access my phone, and don't even bother trying to use the fingerprint scanner. Not a big deal considering the deal for the Black Friday price of the phone. Hopefully Google improves upon it with future software updates.

Great phone for the price, for now I don't need wireless charging and it's hard to notice the 60hz screen so the set of features that it offers are nice. Also super happy with the size.
