Terrible phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a google ad. Thought better wait and see if it is any good, meh. Says it is a great camera, wasn't worth it. Haven't seen what is so great yet. 1st doesn't come with a charger!! they said it was to be eco friendly?! I guess you never charge it, meaning you don't use it = eco friendly. 2nd they give an adapter for usb, again no sense. So their idea of eco friendly means you have to buy more wires and adapters, so the complete opposite of eco friendly??? The worst part, google tries to run your phone. I like talk to text. Google forces Google assist and it wouldn't let me do anything unless it was google involvement! I couldn't get it off anyway I tried. Then at work I noticed the green light was on, it was recording my conversation when I wasn't using my phone. I had to reset to factory. Then! It started "back up back up" messages everytime i did something followed by"you are running out of storage, buy buy storage!" Everytime I used it. Basically, you can't use any normal features without Google interference. Will try to sell and back to samsung

Pixel 6a Review

Dual Sim Scam
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the description it said dual sim which was the major reason I purchased the phone. Only to realise the dual there meant e-sim. This should have been explicitly stated. Very misleading.

Worst phone over ever owned!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Samsung guy since the dawn of smartphones but Samsung has gone down hill big time so I thought I would try a Google phone and what a giant mistake! So many bugs I would run out of characters to mention all of them. The big issues are that it freezes a lot and the only way to clear it is to reboot the phone. It doesn’t synch to my Mercedes so I don’t hear sound on many apps. It gets brutally hot! It got up to 103° the other day and that’s not the guest it’s gotten. Horrific coverage with Verizon and horrible Google update service. They push patches during peak times so your phone will just stop functioning. There are times when I can’t close apps. You have to do a workaround to close them. Cheap looking phone with a subpar camera. The camera bezel scratches super easy. I’ve only had it a couple months and I’m already beating it against objects to slowly break it. If I don’t like a phone I torture it for a while before putting a bullet through the screen. This one will happen well before any of my other phones. I’m still paying on an S22 Ultra because it was so bad. Sadly quality of smartphones has declined but prices have skyrocketed. The phone makers realize that we have very few choices so they don’t put a lot of money towards QA. I wish Motorola made a good phone because I’ve had a couple that I really liked many years ago. Google phones and watches are junk in my opinion.

What a deal!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this is a fantastic phone. I had a Pixel XL, retired it for a Samsung Galaxy - BIG mistake. I hated that phone from the get-go. When I saw this deal, $299 for a Pixel phone, I couldn't pass it up. The big difference is the screen sensitivity. The Galaxy regularly couldn't read my fingerprint, and I have not had a single problem with the Pixel. Galaxy screen cracked after a couple of months. I'd open my phone to see my icons shifted around. Bloatware too. I am SO happy with this phone.

Overheats with regular tasks...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen is good. Form is good. I've had two though and multi-tasking apps causes the phone to overheat to the point where apps are stopped. Example -- Android auto, with Google Maps nav and Spotify music going causes the phone to overheat and Maps to shut down. Charging the phone accelerates this poor behavior.

Above average smart phone.

Pretty, Different - New :)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The gestures on this android phone are different from the Motorola & Galaxy phones I've used & take some getting used to. The speakers aren't great (I'm planning on getting a Bluetooth speaker). The battery doesn't last long, but I think that's because I've been doing a lot of downloading and using haptics. It's a great phone - Very attractive. And I insist on having a phone with gorilla glass - Nearly unbreakable :)

Locked Bootloader
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought in store. Was notified of restocking fee if opened. Should've been a red flag. No review here mentions locked boot loader. I would not have purchased this if this was made available. I gave the OS a chance and hate it's lack of customization. From the lack of simple options like notification sounds, to the obnoxious google bar obstructing the home screen that you cannot remove. I hate this phone. Hardware is good for the price, but the experience is horrible. If you buy this phone, you're stuck with Google OS. Pixel is an excellent host for experimenting with other operating systems, but Bestbuy isn't the place to get one. Buy elsewhere if you're looking to install you own.

Downgrade from the 4a 5G
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Pixel 4a 5G was buggy and Google was offering a good trade in value for the 6a so I switched. But pretty much everything about this phone is worse than the 4a 5G. My biggest complaint is that the battery life is terrible and the phone heats up easily. But there are also other issues. The fingerprint reader doesn't really work (I've used the fingerprint reader without issue on two other pixel phones). I have also since noticed that this is the only current model worth absolutely nothing in trade-in at the Google stores and with the carriers.

Worth the Purchase!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pixel 6aPhone is great! 5G. Your coverage depends on your phone provider. Phone is 177grams, previously had a 4a Pixel that was lighter at 143grams. Nice to touch and feel. I like having 5 years of security updates, and 3 years of Andriod updates. Phone heats up during charge (my Samsung J7Neo did that as well!) Worth the money!

Fake Warranty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got done calling google for the 4th time to try and get then to replace the phone under warranty. Took it to uBreakiFix yesterday, as instructed by google after quite a bit of self diagnostics, and had the motherboard replaced but it did not fix the issue with the phone. ubreakiFix said to call google and they would arrange a replacement. So call google today and they can't see what ubreakiFix did and want me to go back and get a work order number from ubreakiFix. It this point I feel they are just trying to run out the warranty and have intention of replacing the phone their agent could not fix. I know this will be the last Pixel I buy.

I really like this phone!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying that the phone this 6a is replacing wasn't anything to get excited about and should have never been purchased. For a lower priced phone, the pixel 6a delivers. My needs aren't great so I've not experienced the battery disappointment that some have mentioned. This phone far exceeds my expectations.

Most Unoptimized Phone I've Had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the only phone I've ever had that has just an incredible amount of jank when dealing with especially google apps as it's what I use mostly, it constantly will switch to ear piece when I get a call on google maps while calling even if I have a bluetooth headset on so I'll have to use my phone while friving to fix it, and this is the only phone I've had this problem with, on my TV I have a Chromecast and if I use youtube on my phone with it, if I leave the app it'll end the video and disconnect from it a second later, and these are just a couple of the many, many things that this phone will glitch out with
