NOT USCellular Compatible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Specifically asked before purchasing if this phone is unlocked and compatible with Us Cellular, it is NOT compatible. After hours and hours on the phone with Us Cellular and going into the store for a new SIM, tech dept finally figured out the programming in the BestBuy version is not compatible. I would recommend this phone, just not if you're on USCellular.

Never shopping here again, DON'T BUY OPEN BOX!

When I received it, I wasn't able to actually open the phone past the initial screen because whoever used it before did a factory reset and it kept requesting their password/email. Obviously I didn't have that. Contacted Best Buy customer service and they said that the phone was now unusable and it never should have been sold to me, and to return it. Returned it as . Was issues a 45 dollar "Restock fee" (To restock an unusable phone, according to Best Buy?), and the refund did not include the 20 dollars tax. So Best Buy just took 65 dollars from me because of their own mistakes.

abysmal support from google
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.purchased a second pixel 6a (this time for me) as part of a trade in promotion. trade-in kits were sent VERY late, past the return window of the phone. despite google team saying they were aware of this issue, and if there was a problem with trade-in, the phone would still be returnable. guess what, they finally evaluate the tradein at $0 and say "sorry no returns". Youre stuck and they know it, over an hour with 3 people on the phone and they refuse to acknowledge this issue, despite me being told early on that theyve made a note in my account of these delays on their side and that "everything will be fine, you do not need to worry". Feels like a scam.

Overheating battery

The battery overheats and I contacted Google and they will do nothing. Then there is a known software issue with the android platform so you can't use 5g. Google said they will not honor the 12 month warranty that came with it because I purchased it at Best Buy. So now I am stuck with a phone I can't use. Don't buy unless you buy directly from Google because best buy isn't any help either.

Easily the worst phone I've ever owned.

(Although I guess I should count myself lucky since for some users it seems to work for fingerprints of strangers.) The hotspot doesn't work (unless the phone is already connected to a hotspot, which kind of defeats the point). Within a day of activating the phone, it dropped out of my pocket and the 2-3 foot fall shattered the screen...not just a crack, but actual splintering of glass.

Worse device ever.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will never buy a Pixel device again. I got the phone in the mail as I did pre order the device. I got it activated on my service. It worked for 36 hours and now I can not get service on the phone. I have contacted google and they are only saying oh well you could return the device to the store or you could ship it back to us and we will replace it. Then I went on to google and typed in google pixel 6a connectivity issues and then everything comes up. The issues started with the pixel 6 and have been happening on the pixel 6 for months now. Now the issues have migrated over to this device. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS DEVICE.

Goggle gets more personal info.

Difficult to answer the phone, needs swipe in different places. Phone mutes unpredictably. Attempts to steal personal info from google sites, and it is difficult to stop data movement. If I hadn't paid so much, I would trash it.

Freezes while using maps

Some times it worked but it would freeze while driving. It was very dangerous actually. How ironic, google phone with not working maps.
