the first two days I felt the battery won't last enough, but after a couple days of intensive use it seems to manage better the battery, almost after 1 month of use the battery holds for a full day of intensive use, 2 days with moderate use, very happy with the pictures quality and advanced user functionalities.

As the overall rating says, this phone is unfortunately just average. I was so excited to upgrade from my Pixel 6 to the Pixel 8Pro. The camera, battery life, and overall better system (so I thought) were huge draws for me. Before I get into issues, I will say that the battery life is astounding. This phone can last me two days on a single charge. However, I recently started running into a few issues (6 months after purchasing) with the phone randomly disconnecting from my data carrier throughout the day resulting in me having to restart my phone. The phone gets very hot to the touch when using it. Don't even begin to think that you can use it when you're outside in the sun because it gets too hot very fast and can no longer run applications. Overall, this phone was a huge disappointment for me. I really didn't notice much of a difference between the regular pixel and the pro, don't waste your money. I am going back to Apple. Google needs to step it up if they want to keep customers for longer than 2 years.

Upgraded from the Pixel 7 Pro

Upgrading from the previous Pixel Pro 7. Not much of a difference and mainly upgraded due to the connectivity issues the 7 pro had. The 8 Pro still seems to have some connectivity issues as far as connecting to the cellular towers but not as much. Still not very impressed compared to the Samsungs but enjoy the minimalist software and Google integration I need for work. Battery life is definitely improved. If my 7 Pro didn't have any issues, I probably wouldn't have upgraded.

Early review as I've had it a couple days and still getting acquainted. The camera is elevated, which makes it a bit larger than my galaxy and the lenses are always exposed so I'll have to see how they do with not getting scratched and staying clean. The data transfer was very easy so far. Some passwords have been stubborn, but coming along. Like the feel of the weight, slightly heavier/firmer in my hand than my S10+. Love the screen. Love the color palet.

I love my new phone. It's so easy to learn to use. and it's so pretty. I had a hard time using my last phone but this one has so many helpful hints that make learning how to use it so easy, even though it has so many more features. I love that it is more like a handy computer than just a phone,

The Pixel 8 Pro has a matte finish, which is a great improvement over the slippery Pixel 7. However, I wish it came in the Hazel color instead of the blue called Bay. I’m not sure why, but Google Photos keeps crashing when editing photos using features like Best Take or Magic Eraser. There are only 25 apps installed, and I wasn’t able to test the Best Take feature because it kept crashing. I also couldn’t save a photo edited using Magic Eraser. With no apps running, it uses 8 out of 12 GB of RAM. I’m not super impressed with the quality of Night Sight, which supposedly has 50 MP and gains 21% more light with the new sensor. Samsung S23 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max seem to surpass the capability of Google’s Night Sight when you watch comparison videos. The display is bright and visible under bright daylight, but it doesn’t seem to be at 2400 nits as claimed. Pixel 8 Pro video quality in terms of dynamic range has definitely improved significantly compared to Pixel 3. I enjoy using it so far, and I like the complementary rim color to the Obsidian color of the phone as well as its more rounded corners. If I could actually use advertised features like Best Take and Magic Eraser, I would give it a solid 4 stars. As a result, I can’t recommend getting this phone at full price due to the issues I experienced.

Improved battery life, service, screen, and camera over my previous phone. Battery life still isn't great but I get through a whole day easily. Highly recommend this phone based on its smart features, camera, and clean UI.

Great photos, snappy response, overall a great phone. Like most pixels since the Tensor it does have thermal issues. Keep it out of direct sunlight for more than 2-5 minutes or it will shut down.
