So far I can't say Id recommend the Pixel 8 Pro. I quickly found out I couldn't connect to my fire tv at my hunt camp. A month later and I still haven't figured out a way. Cannot mirror to it.

Love the phone but not huge improvement from the 7 pro.

Google has made strides to solidify their pixel series of devices as main stays in the ever evolving, on-the-go, way of life. So then, I'd be remiss if I didn't try  this year's offering for myself. It's about time we take Google seriously, as they don't seem to be bowing down anytime soon. That said, I believe the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 pro are premium mobile devices, but not for everyone. I've had the Pixel 8 pro for about a week and that's what I'll be focusing on for the purpose of this review. As I've grown accustom to my personal foldable phone, it was nice to go back to a standard screen size of 6.7 inch, which is plenty for a main screen. Speaking of the screen it's probably the brightest display I've ever used on a mobile phone, with 2,400 nits of peak brightness. This does help in higher lit environments especially outside during the day. Overall the design is largely the same with a few minor adjustments like smaller bezels, though the easily recognizable rear camera bump is unchanged. And this is where the Pixel sets itself apart. The cameras here paired with the innvotive AI tech make it the main selling point of the device. After all, pixel is in the name. Photos have never looked better and my favorite new addition is the "best take" feature, which eliminates the fuss of taking pictures of my kids who never can quite sit still for that perfect photo. Essentially google's software can now change the faces of individuals to better fit the photo, for example if someone wasn't looking straight or blinking. It's actually quite fascinating. There's more new additions like the audio magic eraser, which does exactly how it sounds, erases unwanted background noise. It's not perfect but is seriously insane tech that can only get better with time. With the new Tensor G3 processor, performance is the best on offering from Google and it makes daily use a breeze. Everything feels quick, fluid and intuitive. The feedback and vibrations especially, are very enjoyable and make sense. You'll also feel at home with the full suite of Google assistant features that you've come to know and there's some quality of life introductions such as the summarize option. Summarize, will sum up a page you're viewing and present you with a few bullet points that contain key info. A welcome option when you just need information quickly or in a pinch. This feature is particularly useful, since I'm not a big reader. For those interested in fitness, you'll be surprised to see Google has included a temperature sensor, specifically on the Pixel 8 pro only. I was impressed to learn just how accurate most tempoature readings were during my testing. Even random objects like, a remote if you were ever curious. It's incredible that it was even added, and it actually works! Now I mentioned that the Pixel wasn't for everyone and that's because, performance is still not on par with other flagship mobile devices. For me as a gamer, I do like playing more demanding games on my phone. However, Google's tensor G3 is more than enough for everyday use but doesn't quite have the same level of quality when playing games such as genshin impact. Not a deal breaker by any means, this just means the Pixel is not specifically targeting a gaming audience and that's okay. What the Pixel 8 pro does do well, it does with ease and the raw power of the cpu is a welcome improvement. From multitasking to video editing everything is buttery smooth and battery life respectable. In short, the Pixel 8 pro is definitely worth the asking price of $999, which is significantly lower than most competition. The new additions from the previous Pixel 7 and 7 pro are bountiful enough to warrant the additional price hike especially if your already a Pixel user. What you're paying for is a great phone with plenty of interesting tech and straight forward design that also encompasses impressive AI tech to improve day to day use. While not the best looking phone in town, I absolutely recommend the Pixel 8 pro or even the base pixel 8, if you're at all curious, you can't go wrong with Google's latest offering.

I really don’t like this phone..it’s not giving me the best as described in the review. I will say Not as expected..

I always fan of google pixel phone but this time I purchased for camera but I don’t like it when you used portrait mode. Because this phone mostly known for camera so they need fix this.

Good, but having network problems, but at this budget I would say it is a good device

Had the 6 pro and 7 pro, much faster and photos are better than both previously models and screen is fantastic. There are definitely issues that were prominent in previous models, they do seem fixed in this release. The price has gone up just like all brands have as they refine there products w new tech but the trade values are ok enough to justify the upgrade with the free watch. Anyone reviewing this phone and saying the 1k price ( w free watch) isn't justified hasn't priced other flagship phones lately and watches and they prob didn't buy the phone if they say 2 generations back and the phone isn't much better, or they just don't use those features and probably they would say that a flip phone is almost as good because of the phone part they do use and rarely anything else. All in all im happy with it.

I am overall happy with the purchase, but i am having intermittent problems with wifi at home. Only this device, all others OK. Keeps telling me that there is a password issue, but that is not the problem at all.

Changing from oneplus. I miss certain features, like the toggle to change modes to vibrate, not disturb, and regular volume, gestures to change music or flashlight.

Battery life is okay, camera not so much cause it makes my skin so dark when taking selfies I guess it's not that bad but I still prefer my Google pixel 7.

It's an okay phone, but definitely a downgrade from any Samsung Galaxy. Lots of glitches and freezing.

The phone had freezing problems. Only get half the service bars that I normally get with samsung. Camera interior photos are good for the first one or two, then are super dark for the same shot. Too much bezel, not enough screen width for typing. Tried to return, but best buy would not return me any of the money for my trade, and about $50 less in cash that I also paid them! They were nice to give me a new device as a replacement. Sold on ebay in sealed box and lost another $95 to ebay fees!

I really like the phone. My issue is with the advertised best shot. When you go to try to use it, it closes Google photos

Would give -5 if possible. Pixel Support ranges from the inaccessible to useless with rude in between until you hit the phone swap scam. Voicemail transcription worked intermittently until stopping after an update. Clearly not American phone support denied tech support exists and offered only hardware swap for what is 90% likely a software issue. Now I have an inferior replacement that disabled my pristine phone bought at BB six weeks ago. Big scam. They get your phone for one of their marked up ones with who knows what battery life. Do not go near any Google Pixel product if you value support or meaningful warranty! Shockingly awful, border line to criminally so.

The battery life on this phone sucked real bad I was very disappointed with Google on this particular product thumbs down

I really dont know how people review this phone as a really good? Overheating on just regular app usage. Laggy and slow, touch feels sliw and needs calibration. Fingerprint is slow and sometimes doesn't work right. Pictures are not that good either, maybe is me that i dlnt know gow to use it. Battery life sucks

Not a fan of the battery life don't care for the AI platform not a big fan of the processor and Android 14 is not very great nice display
