Absolutely amazing, love the new flagship phone from Google. Camera is great, performance and battery improved from the Pixel 7 Pro and continues to be beautiful and light!

So far so great! Works well and it also looks great doing it. It doesn't seem to be getting as hot as my old pixel other than when it's charging. I've taken several pictures and had screen time of 6 or 7 hours and still being able to go eight to 15 hours of battery life ending with 15% battery life. And the amazing part is this is without having battery saver turn on until it gets to 25%. I didn't think that I was going to be able to see the difference between the screen brightness from the other phones that I had, but this screen brightness is great. I do miss the glossy back but it's not a big deal. I hate the fact that the phone maybe to AI ish when it comes to taking pictures.

Came from the Pixel 7 Pro. This has an amazing screen, better speakers, faster charging, and seems to throttle performance less as well as heats up less. Fingerprint sensor is still average, but the face unlock is improved since you can use it in place of fingerprint in banking apps and whatnot - still useless in the dark though. Camera is awesome. HDR video and P3 color gamut photos really shine on the "super actua" display. Thermometer is kind of nice but seems to still he waiting on official approval to be used for taking temps on people.

Nice bright screen, and its FLAT! finally a Pixel Pro that is Flat. I upgraded from a Pixel 6 -> Pixel 7 -> and now to the Pro 8 the additional camera is very nice. Has great zoom and it's able to pickup detail I am unable to see with the eye at distance. I personally like the satin feel to the back of the phone, some people have said it makes it feel "cheap" but really we all use cases, when I take it out I don't want the glass back being slippery and it falling out of my hand, it feels nice and hopefully is more durable than the old backs.

Had this pixel 8 pro for a year in the blue color very nice looking phone really like the screen being flat makes it a lot easier to find screen protectors for the phone but this phone had very poor call reception especially in rural areas about 70% of the time i would drop the call or the other person on the other end could not hear me also the phone would overheat very often from just doing basic things like scrolling on the internet or making phone calls would pop up a message saying phone overheating needs to cool down i hope next year that the google pixel 10 pro when it gets the tsmc manufactured chip set that it will be a much better phone then the pixel 8 pro that's why after a year i had to finally sell the google pixel 8 pro looking into getting either the s23 ultra or s24 ultra from Samsung overall horrible phone that i wouldn't recommend it to anybody with the overheating and the bad call quality and reception i would give this phone a 3 out of 5 stars and say it's just fair after my year of having it an using on a daily basis also charging speed is very slow takes 1 45 minutes to charge up the phone google needs to really improve the charging speeds on this phone there are other brands out there that charge a phone from dead to full in like 20 minutes i hope this review helps someone out who is looking in to maybe buying google pixel 8 pro i would say don't do it what for the pixel 10 pro to see if google fixes all the problems with this phone once tsmc starts making the chips next year but i will say this pixel 8 pro phone still takes the best photos of any phone on the market right now it blows my nieces iPhone 15 pro out of the water and another family members s22 ultra in still pictures it still takes the best that's one thing i will have to give to google now they need to fix the rest of the things wrong with this phone to make it a truly awesome and pro level phone worth the way higher price they have started charging for their new phones.

I had Samsung s21 5g before this and before that I really enjoyed pixel xl 3a alot but I am not happy with pixel 8 pro at all -best thing in this phone is the design which is much better than s23ultra -performance is not as expected had so many glitches with no games at all -camera not impressive at all but has so many ai enhancement which make it looks fine (no noticable difference compared to s21 5g) -screen size is good -has a good battery

Thought I'd miss the curved screen. I don't. Because this display has been elite. Amazing brightness (2600 nits helps) and color accuracy, 120hz smoothness, an outstanding camera for photos (waiting for video boost to drop before I say anything about camera quality) and Android 14 has run smoothly. Battery life is better than the 7 pro but not by much...which is fine because the battery on the 7 pro has been great. Faster charging (thank Christ) and...it's a great phone...definitely the smartest.

I love this phone! The screen is nice and bright especially under direct sunlight. Everything feels snappy and opens instantly except apps that are just badly optimized, ahem certain banking apps but they have improved. The fingerprint sensor shocked me when a light flashed under my thumb. I haven't had any lost connection yet Speakers are loud and clear, they do have a bit of bass I've never heard on any other phone I've had. The camera is the biggest upgrade to a mobile camera I've had and I love taking photos with this phone!!

Love the speed and the camera. AI features are nice like Hold for me, incoming call screening, speech to text and many more. The screen is really strong, I don't have a screen protector on (only phone case, a thin one by Moe's) still have managed to drop it thrice face down and managed to not have a screen on it, which was very surprising. Sometimes the new UI glitches but I think those are just early issues and should be fixed in no time by OTA updates.

Upgraded to this phone from a Pixel 7 Pro which really didn't have any issues. I just bought a new one and passed on my old one to my niece, since it was in special ($809) Battery life is definitely better and it feels snappier. Transferring my info was seamlessly. Google keeps is doing a better job with each new Pixel model.

So the device is great—comfortable, the battery is pretty good, and the camera is okay, but the images are just kind of dull, and really aren’t any better then the 15 Pro Max, but when you factor in AI the changes you can make after the fact, are incredible. This phone is definitely among the most comfortable I’ve held, and I love the flat screen, but I still prefer the S23 Ultra and my 15 Pro Max, as the performance of those two absolutely stomp the Pixel 8 Pro.

Pixel has taken the lead, photo and video are far more superior to the iPhone 15 pro max and s23 ultra!!! And the phone is a more comfortable phone to have ! The AI features are awesome this phone is a joy to use. I’m finally using this pixel 8 pro max cause it’s just perfect in every way. Zippy fast software and clean with zero bloatware

Finally a worthy upgrade for the price. Coming from a 13pro max. The trade-in was just too juicy to give up. waiting for the $920 total promo credit hopefully best buy gives it without any issues or bait and switch later will find out. Pros: Camera and the "Fix it in post (processing) software features Display is nice with good brightness and smooth scrolling. Google one bundle with photos storage of 2TB 6months and VPN features Call screening, google translate, google assistance etc., a nice add on features. Neutral: Battery good for all day use havent drained it completely only time will tell after battery degradation. Android 14 vs iOS no major differences Premium feel and design but with price cuts in the near future will make this not a $1000 phone like iPhone. Cons Optical fingerprint sensor blinds you in the night if you're off and not lined up perfectly on the screen. should have gone to ultrasonic sensor big miss.

I love my pixel 8 Pro! I bought the obsidian 256GB variant. The screen is responsive and gets very bright. The AI features are pretty sweet. I used to get a ton of scam calls and still do...however...my virtual assistant makes short work of them. The only thing I've noticed is the battery life is a bit lack luster. Previously I had the 14 pro max and that battery way outperforms this one.

I went from a Pixel 5 Pro to this. I love the bigger size, it fits well in my hand while still small enough to let me move around the screen using one hand. The camera is amazing; details are perfect. Def recommend a case as the phone itself is very slippery. I also use a glass screen protector, and I have had no issues with sensitivity. It does all the things I need it to do, plus some.

Let's be real everyone the reason people buy an iPhone is the camera and I have had every Pixel phone except the 3 but ... The Pixel 8 pro takes DSLR quality photos and videos and I can honestly say this, even though it is my opinion, because I have worked with multiple different Canon DSLR cameras for and with a business and also helped edit. I am thoroughly impressed and in love with this camera.. I mean phone. Yet somehow it's going to be even better with already the best assistant (soon to have bard), and the best computational photography (working on basically every shot). This is the quote I've used to switch friends to the Pixel train "The first thing you do on an iPhone is download Chrome and YouTube.. why not use it on the phone it's intended for." Not sponsored by Google... Just a fan. P.S. Throws away DSLR and buys rig for phone and buys a bunch of moment lenses

Plus, the software updates are so smooth and seamless. Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with this phone and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch Android device!

My first top tier phone so my review should be taken with a grain of salt. So far, I like the screen, the speed, the cameras, etc. I have not yet used the special features of the phone. Battery life is not top tier. Only time will tell. I don't plan on changing this phone for 7 YEARS!
