Premium price, non-premium device
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Moved from an iPhone 12 to this phone and it is an upgrade in every way. Although the price for this phone seems a bit steep in comparison to what it offers it feels like a nice step up compared to Apple offerings for the same price. However compared to similar android offerings it seems to demand a premium despite not offering anything that differentiates it significantly. Wasn't too keen on moving to android but after using it for a couple weeks I've moved on from iOS. Keyboard is superior, battery and screen is better and the OS as a whole feels much more customizable. The phone itself has a great OLED screen with high refresh rates rather than the 60hz that Apple still uses... Cameras look phenomenal for pictures and the fingerprint scanner and face ID is great (although the face ID is lacking in comparison to Apple as theirs uses lasers that also work in the dark). The AI that is advertised does not really make a big difference for me in daily use although it can be a cool quirk for some things such as replacing backgrounds in photos.

Excellent choice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent product. I'm so happy for the exceptional stay of this Open box phone. In other hand, this is the best phone, recommend 200% for people who don't care to play in a phone. The best Android experience ever and amazing photos and videos.

Great phone and at an affordable price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really solid device for 650 plus tax. Coming from Samsung eco system, it's very similar. They all do the same stuff and at a fraction of the cost. This phone stays much cooler in use, which was my biggest gripe with Samsung. Would recommend.

As an iPhone user, big fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from an iPhone 11. Wanted an upgrade but wanted to edit the apple ecosystem and silly high prices. So glad I did. I love this thing!

Google Pixel 9
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no Issues with My google pixel 9. I like it more than my Iphone mini 12. I do wish the camera for the pixel was much better. I do love the AI functions on the camera even though I rarely use it.

The Best I've Seen From Google
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quite possibly the best Android experience out there in regards to a clean, simple, and easy to use software experience. All of my Google services ready to go, from my Photos, my YouTube Music, and a really easy to use camera. I did find that performance was just a little slower than the latest Samsung S series, but it more than makes up for it with how easy it is to use and how nice the camera experience is. Gemini is the assistant on this device, which is way better than it used to be. Makes it super easy to ask anything and get high quality and easy to understand answers. Only thing I think could be improved otherwise is a smaller camera hole in the front, and maybe adding Qi2 magnetic charging so it would be compatible with my MagSafe charging and mounting accessories.

Love the Pixel 9
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was in need of a replacement phone for my Pixel 7 and found the 9 on sale at Best Buy. Great price and love the 9. A big fan of the Pixel and saw no need to move into the 10.

Getting use to smaller screen.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually buy the bigger screen phones but the prices are getting out of hand. So I went back to the regular size phone this time. It takes a bit to get use to the screen size as I didn't realize how much smaller the screen was? I'm pretty happy with this phone now after having it for a few weeks. The battery is way better than I thought it would be. The speakers on this phone are horrible for listening to music. The wifi connections are spotty and lose connection to wifi, I have to do some tricks to get it to work properly. I don't camera much but it takes great pictures to me. I really didn't like this phone at the start, but it kinda grew on me. I was really hoping the speakers would be better. Overall though it's a nice phone and seems pretty quick googling and was easy to setup after disabling things I don't use. There's more apps than usual pixels from the past. The screen is brighter and clear. I'll keep this phone and wait for the pixel 10 though.

Good phone, nothing special
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good phone. Seems good quality but lacks a lot of customization. Came over from having an iphone since 2007 hoping to get more features and customization. Instead I got less and all the games have tons of adds...

Pixel 9 review
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall quality of phone is very good. For mid-range phone it has all the features that I need. Switched from a Moto phone so the learning curve was a little steep at first.

Great software, poor hardware
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Pixel 9 is a solid phone compared to past iterations. I’ve used a Pixel 4a and 5a in the past, and the Tensor chip is an improvement from those devices with their midrange chips. The screen looks good, and the software customization options of the Pixel’s version of Android are very impressive (coming from someone who mostly uses iOS/iPadOS devices. However, the hardware is always the issue with Pixels. I didn’t keep my Pixel 4a or 5a for very long because of hardware issues, and the story was the same on this Pixel 9. First, the chip: Google’s Tensor chips are underpowered compared to current Apple and Qualcomm chips. Some apps are noticeably slower to open. I don’t know if this is a Tensor issue or an Android problem (Again, I’m used to iPhones). Battery life is pretty good, but again it’s held back by Tensor. This phone has a huge battery, but battery life is held back by Tensor’s inefficiencies. Performance isn’t terrible, it’s actually pretty good, but some apps are a bit slow or become frozen and have to be quit. Google keeps going up on the price of Pixels, which now match the latest iPhones and Galaxy phones, but the chip still isn’t there. Second, the fingerprint scanner: it works well… without a screen protector. Depending on the brand of screen protector you choose, it will either work pretty well, not well, or not at all. Google obviously can’t control the design of everyone else’s screen protectors, but I (along with others) had to order a bunch of different brands of screen protectors to find one that works. The capacitive fingerprint sensor from the older Pixels worked great, but they had to remove those so they could have a glass back on the phone. Last, the adaptive brightness: it is absolutely atrocious. Search Google for “Pixel adaptive brightness” and you’ll see page after page of people complaining about the Pixel line’s auto brightness going back several years. It’s been a problem for years. It’s a big reason I ditched my 4a and 5a, and pretty much the sole reason I returned this Pixel 9. It changes the screen brightness in such a jarring way rather than gradually. For some reason it turns the brightness way down in a brightly lit room for no reason, then after a few seconds it turns it back up. And it continually does this. Help articles and forums all say to adjust it and the phone will learn your preferences. It never does though. Of all the iPhones and the couple of other Android phones I’ve ever used, Pixels are the only ones that can’t figure out screen brightness. I don’t know if it’s the ambient light sensors or the Pixel’s software, but it’s insane and inexcusable that Google can’t figure it out. The software of the phone is great. I like Google’s software, but the hardware is a letdown.
