It was one of the most unique devices I have ever held on to. A black sheep, but a charming one.

Super expensive and not worth. There are better tablets and better chromebooks. This is large and heavy to use as a tablet and small to use as a laptop.

Not so nice. The user interface is a royal pain in the rear. I was looking for an android interface. Don't really like the Chrome interface at all. Keyboard is extra and way too expensive. Pen is extra and WAY too expensive Overall, I'm terribly disappointed in this tablet. Kind of wish I hadn't purchase it. It might be a good investment for someone looking specifically for Chrome machine. I was looking for a large screen tablet that would work well with Android software.

If you want to use this as a tablet I say it is solid, but as a laptop I would get a regular chrome laptop.

I bought an open box excellent pixel and it was in terrible condition. The tablet itself is great. Some stutter here and there but not something you should discard it for. The OS updates have helped this "tablet" tremendously. Buy NEW only.

There aren't any folio cases for it. None online, at Google or Best buy. You'd think they would make sure to have before selling the product. No cases either only sleeves. I ordered surface folio I'm hoping to modify.

    Absolutely Love It

Prior to this purchase I had been using a Surface Pro 4. The problem with the Surface Pro 4 is that I needed to use the Chrome browser for my work, and it just does not work well with the Chrome browser when in tablet mode. To have any semblance of a decent experience with the Surface Pro 4 in tablet mode, you have to use Microsoft Edge. So what I really wanted was a Surface Pro 4 experience that worked well with the Chrome browser. Enter the Pixel Slate. This is my first experience with a Chromebook, and I am so impressed. It boots up in seconds, the fingerprint scanner is a hundred times faster than Windows Hello, it is super zippy when multitasking, the battery lasts four times longer than the Surface Pro 4, and there is the huge added bonus of Android apps. This is my dream device. I am able to do so much more with this than with my Surface Pro 4. Of course, having said that, I understand that some people will need to use programs that may only be available on a Windows machine; I am not in that category. In fact, prior to making this purchase I reviewed all of the apps on my Surface Pro 4, and realized that I don't use anything that is Windows specific. So I gave up nothing when I made the switch, but gained a lot because of the wealth of Android apps (e.g., love reading the Washington Post print edition from the Android app, and playing a few games that were just not available on Windows).

    Great Chromebook/tablet combo

I got this on a killer deal at the end of the year. While I couldn't justify spending $800 just for the slate, when it was $450 and included the keyboard and pen. It performs really well and adjusting to the Chrome OS is fairly easy. It's big in tablet mode, but awesome in Chrombook mode. Highly recommend.

    Overall nice Slate

The Pixel Slate is a nice addition to the Chromebook family. It's fast and has done everything I need it for. I like the overall size of the Slate as well...not too big like some laptops/Chromebooks but not as small as a typical tablet either. The biggest issue is the cost of the Slate, which is why I give it 4 stars. I think it could be cheaper but because it has Google's name on it, there is a premium on the price.

    Great tablet/Computer

I absolutely love this. Some of the bad reviews are based on the Celeron version of this which I would avoid at all costs. I have zero lag on the M3 processor version. I brought it in to work and without an extra charger listened to music with Google Music for the full 8 hours, used it quite a bit playing with the pen and emails etc... I left and still had 40% battery left. I did however return the pen. I don't think I would use it much and I am not an artist in any way . I can do what I need with my finger.

Pixel Slate is fast, great hardware, nice chromebo

Bought the Pixel Slate for me and my son. Very fast, nice hardware, and great setup with the Google Slate Keyboard. It runs quite snappy due to the M3 processor and the SSD drive. Most chromebooks have an eMMC drive which is slower — so the SSD drive and processor combo with 8GB RAM is a recipe for speed. Overall runs Android and web apps, Google Docs, etc. Terrific student or lower cost home productivity setup. Nice job Google!
