|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had several smart watches over the years and once the novelty wears off, I only wear them occasionally. Usually bad battery life, and poor performance make them more of a hassle and I'm not switching to the apple platform. This pixel watch 2 so far has been different. The best thing for me is performance. From set up to everyday use this watch has been flawless so far. Swiping through screens is so smooth. Connecting back to the phone after walking out of range is quick and has worked perfect every time. I haven't had any stuttering or lag yet. Setting up the watch was about as painless as you could get. I took it out of the box, charged it and my Pixel 7a just knew it was there. Download the pixel watch app and the fit bit app to get it all set up. The whole process is automated. Customizing the Pixel watch 2 is almost as complex as your phone. All the different tiles you can choose from, many watch faces, and just trying to learn everything it can do. I'm still finding new things. (I just found it can control the volume of my Bluetooth earbuds and older android car stereo! Neat!) All the sensors it has, do a great job to help you track your health. You can see results on you wrist or many more details in the fit bit app. It has soo many workout modes and can help you track your stress levels. The basic functions of checking notifications are nice, not having to fetch your phone. Quick replies are good but responding with the micro keyboard can be a bit fiddly. The nfc Google pay will be convenient when I find stores that accept it... Battery life, they have finally gotten to over a day of use with the aod on! Soo happy for this! I only have to charge it once a day with normal use. When I do charge it, it charges in a little over an hour. It would have been nice to see wireless charging. The proprietary charger is a bit of a hassle, it can only go on one way, having it connect either direction would have been a nice idea. I really like the nice smooth design of the Pixel watch 2. It doesn't look like your standard watch. Swapping out watch bands I've found to be pretty simple, not like the moto 360 of old. The only big thing Google failed on was not offering a bigger size but they have done a decent job of making this watch feel not too small.
I would recommend this to a frienda glorified Fitbit.

Went and bought one....then couldn't use because They didn't make watch back to factory, it still had previous owner info in it. Smh....had to return it! Guess thats price you pay to try and save a buck...lol

- Heart-rate variability (HRV)

I pre-ordered 2 Pixel 8 Pros with promotion of getting the pixel watch 2 included. They canceled my orders with no refund and kept the watches. I tried to return my phones and I would have to take a restocking fee and the trade-ins were no longer available. Beware. They are horrible. The manager referred me to corporate and corporate referred me to the local store manager. They ripped me off and do not care! Very clueless management and helpdesk.

Than returned it and got a new one. The new one worked for 1 week and than it had problems staying on. Also took the second one back to bestbuy and they just told me to call pixel and have them sort it out.
