Good watch! Highly recommend!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very happy with my purchase. The assistant helped me to make right decision, he was very competent and explained me all the features of pixel watch and other watches. I stopped my choice on pixel watch and didn't regret at all. Good watch, works great, has everything I need and everything I was looking for.

Comprehensive Watch with One Major Problem
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I tested this watch with my Pixel 5 phone. It connected and configured together easily and without any problems. Before getting into any details, there is one major problem that prevents me from recommending this watch. The watch allows you to answer the call on either the watch or the phone. The sound quality of the call on the watch is not great so you will likely answer the call on the phone. Most of the time this works fine but sometimes when a call comes in, the screen on the phone turns completely off and you can’t answer the call on the phone, and you are stuck with the call on the watch. It usually works correctly but when it doesn’t, you can’t answer the call. Hopefully this will be fixed but right now, it is a no go. Now on with the review. This watch and required apps on your phone have everything but the kitchen sink. This means that there are likely all the features you could want on it, but also means that the watch is very complicated to use and hard to navigate. Luckly, the apps on the phone are well written, easy to use, and easy to navigate. Before using it, you have two watch band sizes to choose from that are included. Hopefully the one already attached is the right size because it is difficult to change it to the other one. Once you can attach it, it is very comfortable to wear but don’t expect an easy go at it. When set up with default settings, the battery lasts for a little less than 24 hours so expect to charge it around the same time every day. Charging it requires a special USB-C cable included but takes only around an hour so not that long. I do wish the battery lasted longer such as a few days that my previous watch lasted. There are a bunch of faces that you can select from that include simple time ones to much more complex ones that give a lot more information such as time, date, notifications, bio data, etc., all on one screen which is great and convenient. Changing them requires a simple tap on the screen and swiping to pick the one you want. In addition to selecting one, you can change the size, font, and color of the items on the watch face to your liking. You can set the watch to either always show the watch face, which is very convenient, off until tapped, and shows only when you look at the watch. I like the setting that always shows the face, but this does affect the battery. Swiping the face works flawlessly and gives you various bio data, calendar, access to watch apps, weather, and notifications. All are very easy to read on the screen and access. The sensitivity of swiping is great. Swiping up gives you a history of notifications you received such a messages and email that you can read. And new emails and messages are displayed as soon as they come in. This all works great. Swiping in a different direction gives you access to all the settings. There are a thousand of them, so it is too much to discuss but assume you really have the flexibility to set the watch exactly like you want it to behave. There are two apps that you install on your phone to operate the watch. One is the Google Watch app and the other is the Fitbit app. Both are very well laid out and work great with the watch. The Google watch app allows you to make a bunch of settings changes and is easier to make than on the watch itself. It also gives you basic info such connect, battery life, charging, and up time. Very easy to use. The Fitbit app is also very easy to use. You get all the bio info such as steps, floor, BPM, sleep time, calories, and much more. It gives you goals to try and awards for them. There are coaches and training videos if you buy the Fitbit premium subscription. Finally, there is an optional safety app that you can configure to handle a bunch of different safety issues such as falling, car crashes, crisis events, etc. They are very easy to configure what you want the watch to do in these cases. Because of the nature of them, I was not able to test using this. There is a watch Play Store like the one on your phone. It is not obvious how to get there though. You must press the small secondary button on the watch which is where you will find it. I wish it was in a place that was more obvious. There are a ton of apps to choose from. Think of all the apps available in the Play Store on your phone and you get the idea. To get some basic features on the phone, you must install some apps that don’t come preloaded on the watch but those are easy to find once you have found the Play Store. There are a bunch of readings you can get such as steps, stairs, heart rate, sleep quality and time, distance walked, and calories burned. As is typical of a watch like this, you can start a workout and it will track it such as distance and speed for the appropriate workout types. There are literally dozens of workout types included so no matter what you like to do, there is likely a workout type for it. It works well, is very accurate, and basically the same as other similar types of watches. One annoyance is that it will tell you near the end of the hour how many more steps you should take before the hour ends. This sounds good, but for example, if you are in an hour-long meeting, you haven’t taken any steps, and it will interrupt you to tell you haven’t done enough. There are an endless number of things you can do with this, and it is fun to try everything you can find, and even more with all the apps you can download. Unfortunately, because you can’t always consistently answer the phone from the phone while the watch is on and connected, and the sound quality of the call on the watch is not good enough to use, I can’t recommend this until it is fixed which will hopefully be soon, which breaks my heart because everything else is so great.

Tougher than it looks
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So my main concern with a glass bubble is that I'm going to break it, scratch it, or ruin it somehow. After a week it's still pristine. Now a week isn't a long time, but I put the watch through some pretty tough work. First was a general lifting session. Yes, I was trying to baby the watch and being as conscious as I could about not banging the watch on anything, but I failed and did bang a few times. I was genuinely surprised that there's not a scratch or scuff. Next task was a bit rougher. I had to build my dogs a new house. We laid out some concrete a week ago and decided that this house was going to be with clay bricks. I really wanted to take off the Pixel Watch 2 because I knew I'd break it. What a shock that the watch still has no scratches from loading and unloading bricks - the band can't say the same, lol. Now I know it was a torture test, but I wasn't brave enough to keep it on while laying bricks and messing with sandy mortar. So far I've used the Pixel Watch 2 for a few cycling workouts. I use QZ app and Heart for Bluetooth to pair my watch's HRM to the QZ app and didn't have any issues. I just subbed to TrainerDay app but haven't had a chance to see if the data transfers over to allow it to communicate the heartrate, but I'm sure it'll work. Both my bike and the PW2 always showed the same heart rate, so either they're both off exactly the same or they're both equally accurate. Interacting with the Pixel Watch 2 feels so much better than my other watch. The round bezels just feel natural for gliding across. I'm also liking using the crown to navigate instead of spinning around the bezel like my other watch does. Battery life is decent. My other watch uses 15-20% per 12hr day and I shut it off at night. The PW2 uses 30-40% under the same scenario. Part of it may be due to the fact that you have no option to turn off the heart rate monitor. The claim is the battery drain is minimal, but when your battery capacity is minimal then that small drain hits hard on a small battery. Also, one night had a drain of 34% overnight while POWERED OFF. It wouldn't have been a big deal if wireless charging was an option. I have a ton of watch wireless charges and only one proprietary Pixel Watch 2 charger - which isn't cheap to get back ups for. Today is the day where it drained overnight. I had it at 76% percent with I powered off and put it on at 42% at 6AM. It's 3:10 now and I'm at 17%. This is with less than normal notifications from my Ring cameras and only one text. It'll last long enough for me to get home, but it won't be able to be of any use for the workout. I could throw it on the charger as soon as I get home, but I know I won't because I have to feed the animals first and charging isn't part of my normal routine once I get home. I'll just have to make sure that any time the watch isn't on my wrist to put it on a charger. Coming from my other watch (44mm) to the smaller Pixel Watch 2 really isn't as bad as I though it would be. The PW2 actually feels better on my wrist than the big monster. Now that I'm a little more comfortable with the durability of the PW2 I'll probably be retiring my old watch soon.

Better than PW.

Pleasantly surprised!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to watch YouTube several times to start to have a server of what this pixel 2 watch could do, but I have to say, I'm loving it more each day. I originally bought it because my cardiologist thought I should be tracking my heart rate, but it does so much more than that and I'm enjoying all of the perks.

Best smart watch value!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an Apple Watch Ultra and a Samsung Galaxy 6 Classic and I like the Pixel Watch 2 the best out of the 3. I think it's the comfort and simplicity of it I don't even notice it on my wrist. It's also very comfortable to sleep with and the sleep tracking is great. The battery life is roughtly 36 hours and recharges fully in just over an hour.

Top tier WearOS watch, snappy and useful
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google really knocked it out of the park with the Watch 2. It has so many features, its hard to figure out all of it at once, but having 6 months of free fitbit premium gives you a better idea of what all it can do. The crazy amount of health data it can show is awesome, and the fact that you can do an ECG test, and at the end get a PDF to share with your health provider is nuts. (I don't have any issues currently, so I don't need the data, but its crazy cool that it works) It is plenty bright enough to see outside, even without the brightness boost, the screen is incredibly reactive, and it feels way snappier than other Watch OS based smart watches I've had and played with. (I liked that the included 2 sizes of strap, so you don't have to worry about ordering the incorrect one) My only gripes are, I wish there was a way to see SpO2 other than only at night, and the battery life is pretty horrible. I understand to have a smart watch of this level with this many features, we currently don't have battery tech to squeeze much more out of the size. I do understand that to actually have all these features, AND decent battery life, would make the watch obnoxiously large and unwieldy. (Luckily it charges quite quickly)

Pixel 2 is excellent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm thrilled with my Google Pixel 2 watch. It does everything I wanted. I answer phone calls on it, can answer texts, it's easy to read, track steps and workouts. I did change the band pretty quickly, but that's easy enough to do and there are plenty of choices.

Really enjoy!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the convenience of answering texts right there on my phone! It's nice not always having to have your phone right there by you. I like being able to answers calls too! I thought the price was fair, and the ease of making payments made it possible for me to have one. The only thing I don't like is I can't answer FB messages on it.

A very competent Google product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As expected, better battery life than the previous model, and after not owning a smart watch for quite a few generations, seems like a pretty solid take from Google to rival the competition this year!

Good but overpriced, Battery life questionable.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very light, good display, nice watch faces and effective use of complications. My dislikes are the price, $350 is a lot of money for a tiny screen, a device that loses 20% battery with always on off, and semi actively using it. My apple watch loses that amount of battery in an entire day. For the previous versions sale price of $199 it would feel resonable. I am attempting to switch from Apple and Google does not have an excuse for this lack of refinement in these areas.

Awesome Watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the Google Pixel Watch 2. It's great as a watch in it's self or a great fitness accessory while working out, walking, running, etc. It appears very accurate, I did notice the GPS is sometimes slow to start. Overall, the style, color, and size are great.
