Good first watch for Google

Many of us have waited years for Google to put out their own watch and we have finally been greeted with their first flagship watch. Overall, the watch runs well and does most of what it's supposed to do. It communicates well with my Pixel 7 Pro and I can finally talk to Google and tell it to send messages unlike with my Fossil watch. The downside of this device for me is that it runs a little slow at times and sometimes will glitch when trying to send a message. When I try to respond to a message and I'll tap on the microphone, sometimes nothing happens or there's a tremendous lag for it to be able to listen to me. I think that this is a great first start for Google, but there do need to be improvements within the hardware capability and software. I will also say that one criticism is that the bezel is too big, and I would agree with this. Having my watch face take up the whole front of the screen would really be a nice thing in the future. Definitely not a bad start, but definitely needs some improvement.

Great Watch...... But it's small

Except the size of the watch face. I'm 6 foot and have large hands. I literally had so many people come up to me and tell me the watch looked really small. This led me to returning my watch. I've worn watches for the better part of a decade and never had anyone come up to me and comment on the size of my watch

The new Pixel Watch comes equipped with settings to care for and help extend battery life. You can turn on the Battery Saver when the battery gets low. While Battery Saver is on, the "Always-on screen" and "Tilt-to-wake" feature will be set to Off. For sleep tracking, you will need a minimum 30% charge (about 30 minutes to 50%). Try charging during your morning routine or during your wind-down time at night so the battery lasts while you’re sleeping. It looks awesome and has a pretty crisp software experience. However, the battery life wasn't as good as the Versa 2.

Great but fragile watch

Only down side is its extremely fragile. She dropped it on the floor and it completely shattered so she had to buy a whole new one after only having for a couple months.

I love the watch but I was used to the fitbit being my smart watch. So you have to manage the apps and notifications from your phone and some on the watch. I'm still learning it but it does everything I need it to do and more. I think getting used to how sensitive thr face is was one learning curve. The watch is bright and crisp. I love how it adapta to my lifestyle quickly and now I'm not on my phone as long because the watch keeps me flowing through my tasks faster. Thank you!

I can't connect to Fitbit. I can't reset it. It works anyway, but sometimes not all the stats from my walk display.

It pairs perfectly with Android devices, better than any of the fitbits that I have owned and fars you superior to the Samsung product.

I have a habit of never taking my cell phone with me so this is a great thing to have. I can text and talk on my phone with the watch. It can be a little confusing to navigate at first but on the watch app on your phone that will be downloaded you can take or add things into the watch to make it more simple.

The 2 improvements I would suggest are better battery life and bigger screen size

Your Pixel Watch battery life will always depend on how you use your device, and maximum battery life is always approximate and is based on testing using pre-production hardware and software. Use of certain features will definitely decrease the battery life. A full battery for Google Pixel Watch goes all day with a charge that lasts up to 24 hours to support sleep tracking and other features. Google Pixel Watch comes equipped with settings to care for and help extend battery life. The 24 hour battery life is based on the following usage:
- 240 notifications.
- 280 time checks.
- A 5 min LTE phone call.
- 45 min LTE and GPS workout with downloaded YouTube music playback.
- 50 minutes of navigation (Google Maps) while connected to a phone via Bluetooth.
- The watch is configured with the default settings, including the Always-on display set to off.
