This watch being it's the first one from Google is rather good. Google gets beat up pretty hard on lots of their devices, however being this is their first it's pretty good. The battery life I'm getting at least 24 hours. When you first set it up of course the battery life is not going to be as good, and that's always the worst time to give a battery review, which a lot of people tend to do. Let things settle for a week or two and get everything set up and then see what the battery life is. Overall the syncing with the Google pixel 7 Pro phone has been very good. This watch has all of the data that you need to get through the day. The notifications are excellent. Even apps that are not installed on the watch can still give you notifications such as storm alerts. One interesting thing about the apps is that there is no native Gmail app on this watch which is rather surprising being it's a Google product. It's more odd because even Outlooks app is on here where you can go into your inbox for your email, where you can't with Gmail. Hopefully a future update will include Gmail. You are able to get your Gmail notifications though, which is good. There are many watch faces to choose from which is very nice. I only think this experience is only going to get better with each update. For a first device like this for Google this is rather good. I've been using it for over a week now which is still on the early side but so far it's been a solid experience. The Fitbit integration is great as well if you are coming from a Fitbit device you'll be very familiar with all of the metrics. No problem syncing with Fitbit. There is one other thing about the SPO2 sensor, at the time of writing this it is not active yet but it is available on the watch. I would imagine this is coming soon. It's another nice metric to have especially if you're used to it coming from a Fitbit product. The other gripe that we hear is the size of this watch being only 41 mm. Not sure why Google did not offer another size as well. I would imagine they're taking a lot of feedback on this and will offer two sizes next time. For me it still is fine with the 41 mm they do a good job with not showing the bezel with certain watch faces. Again overall very good experience so far and looking forward to the updates to come. For first effort they did a rather good job.

Despite of the mixed reviews of the Pixel Watch from YouTubers and independent bloggers and journalist, my wife and I personally enjoy the watch and after a week of use, the battery appears to last much longer than the first few days after initial setup. The thick bezel doesn't bother us as the UI and watch interface does a great job blending it around the background. The thick bezel is as easily ignored as Apple's famous notch or dynamic island screen design. The Fitbit integration is a welcome addition which I personally think it's better than using Google Fit which lacks lots of features compared to other competitors like Samsung, Apple and Garmin. Regarding the 2018 Samsung Exynos chip, it's not a problem at all since the watch has a really well-designed UI and runs very smooth in all accounts. I think YouTube reviewers and the like are reviewing the watch too harshly and comparing it to other smartwatches that's been on the market for several generations. At this point, that's like comparing a new model first gen car to a 10th gen BMW car that's been redefined for several years. Remember, how Apple and Samsung started with theirs? They had several issues with their watch and wasn't perfect as well, especially the battery life. Give it time and the product will become better. Don't let other negative reviewers cloud your judgement. See it for yourself. Overall, I'll personally give this watch a 4 our of 5 stars.

The Google Pixel Watch is a beautiful and well-made smartwatch with some great features. However, there are a few areas where it could be improved, which is why I'm giving it a 4-star rating. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Pros: Stunning design: The Pixel Watch has a sleek and elegant design with a high-quality stainless steel case and a beautiful domed display. It looks fantastic on my wrist and feels comfortable to wear. Seamless integration with Google services: If you're heavily invested in the Google ecosystem, the Pixel Watch integrates seamlessly with your other Google devices and services. Google Assistant is particularly helpful for voice commands and quick actions. Effective fitness tracking: The built-in fitness tracker accurately tracks heart rate, steps, and various workout activities. It also provides helpful insights and motivates you to stay active. Fast charging: The watch charges quickly and conveniently, typically reaching full charge in under an hour. Cons: Limited app selection: Compared to other smartwatches, the Pixel Watch currently has a smaller selection of available apps. This can be limiting for users who rely on specific apps for their daily routines. Average battery life: While the battery life isn't terrible, it doesn't quite match some of the leading smartwatches on the market. I typically get around a day of use on a single charge, but it can vary depending on usage. Price: The Pixel Watch is priced competitively with other premium smartwatches, but considering the limited app selection and average battery life, some users might find it slightly overpriced. Overall: The Google Pixel Watch is a stylish and capable smartwatch with a lot to offer, especially for users who are deeply integrated into the Google ecosystem. However, the limited app selection and average battery life hold it back from achieving a perfect score. If you're looking for a feature-packed smartwatch with the widest app selection, there might be better options available. But if you prioritize design, Google integration, and solid fitness tracking, the Pixel Watch is definitely worth considering.

Should've been bigger for battery life!

    Posted .

I love the watch and Fitbit integration but it's small! To the point of almost girl/child like. If your a man with large wrist or woman than it's small. A larger size would've allowed a bigger battery. A up to date precessor would've had better battery! My complaints are size and battery! If they would've brought it out with a newer processor and a slightly larger size i think it would've been the best watch ever! But no it's Google typical. Bring out something cheap and charge a fortune to test waters. Then slowly make things better and cheaper. If it doesn't stick than scrap it! I love Google products but for some reason that's there motto and it's getting old. I might return it, not sure yet. I love everything about it except for battery life. So i might deal with it too see where it goes. Typically though it'll be scrapped and we'll be back to Samsung or ticwatch. I do recommend ticwatch except for looks.

    The best Android Smartwatch

    Posted .

I've found that a lot of reviews of the Pixel Watch are overly harsh or seem to have barely used this watch. I've had it since day one and I love it. The premium build is fantastic and its incredibly comfortable to wear. I love the haptics and the digital crown. This is by far the closest any watch on Android comes to matching the Apple Watch in terms of fit and finish and overall fluidity of the OS. Most things run very smoothly with nice subtle animations and transitions. The band is great as well. I also really enjoy the fitness tracking. I have full sleeves on both arms and ive always had issues with smartwatch heart rate accuracy, both from Samsung and Apple. But the Pixel Watch has been awesome so far in this regard, which that alone makes it a keeper for me. But of course this is a gen 1 product and there are some minor areas that need polish in Wear OS, but most things can be fixed with a simple update. The bigger issue has been battery life, which started out very worrysome, but thankfully has gotten better the more I've used it. A full hour workout barely uses anything, which is great if you work out regularly. That being said, this needs to charged every day for sure. But it charges quick and I've found good spots in my daily routine to pop it on the charger for a bit. So it's not a big deal to me. I love this watch and I think its a fantastic start for Google. For anyone looking for an Apple Watch for Android, this is it.

Hi Robklacy, we appreciate your feedback on the new Google Pixel Watch. We're always open to the feedback we get with our Google Nest products since this helps us improve our products and services further. However, it delights us to hear that you have loved your Pixel Watch since day one. We do apologize for the minor bugs and battery life issues you are experiencing.

Use of certain features for your Pixel Watch will definitely decrease the battery life. A full battery for Google Pixel Watch goes all day with a charge that lasts up to 24 hours to support sleep tracking and other features. Google Pixel Watch comes equipped with settings to care for and help extend battery life. The 24 hour battery life is based on the following usage:
      - 240 notifications.
      - 280 time checks.
      - A 5 min LTE phone call.
      - 45 min LTE and GPS workout with downloaded YouTube music playback.
      - 50 minutes of navigation (Google Maps) while connected to a phone via Bluetooth®️
      - The watch is configured with the default settings, including the Always-on display set to off.

You may check the features that you use most and compare them with the numbers above and see how well your Pixel Watch battery lasts. If you still have any concerns with battery life, or would like us to assist you with any support needs you may have with Pixel Watch, please feel free to contact us here:  https://support.google.com/googlepixelwatch/gethelp madebygoogle

My Take on the Google Pixel Watch - Is It Worth Yo

Alright, so I've been rocking the Google Pixel Watch for a bit now, and let me tell you, it's been quite a ride. Here's my breakdown: Looks and Feels: First off, this thing looks slick. It's got a classy, round face that's pretty eye-catching. Doesn't feel cheap at all - the body is solid, and the straps? Super comfy. It's like the little black dress of smartwatches - works with gym shorts or a suit. Using the Thing: The interface? Smooth as butter. Google's Wear OS is easy to get the hang of, and swiping through notifications and apps feels natural. And, yes, being able to ask Google Assistant stuff right from my wrist is as cool as it sounds. Plus, I can glance at my wrist for directions without looking like a lost tourist, so that's a win. Fitness Stuff: Now, I'm not exactly training for a marathon, but I do like to keep an eye on my steps and heart rate. This watch has been great for that. It's got Fitbit smarts built-in, so it's giving me all these insights and nudges to move more. Pretty neat for staying on top of my health game. Battery Life – Yay or Nay? Ok, so the battery life isn't mind-blowing. I get through most of the day, but if I'm using it a lot, I might need a quick charge in the evening. Not a dealbreaker for me, but something to think about. Bang for Your Buck: Price-wise, it's not the cheapest watch on the block, but I feel like you get a lot for what you pay. It's a solid mix of style, smarts, and functionality. Final Verdict: All in all, I'm pretty stoked about the Pixel Watch. It's a great companion for both daily use and fitness tracking. If you're in the market for a smartwatch that looks good and keeps up with your techy needs, this one's definitely worth considering!

I had the Pixel Watch for a week and as a daily smartwatch and general fitness watch it was great. Android Pay worked very well and Fit Bit connection and integration was also really good. Very comfortable and stunningly gorgeous. Yes, I got many compliments. Now for the not so good. Screen is kinda on the small side making things hard to read and despite having a bright screen by what I heard I did not find it very bright making it more difficult to read in bright SoCal sun. Unfortunately I run almost daily and found it too hard to read during my runs. Also there was little to no customization to the run data screens. Basically the workout menu system needs a lot of work. So for just general smartwatch for Pixel watch this is perfection, but if your even slgihtly into sports especially running it is a hard pace from me. Google needs to make a Pixel Watch "Ultra" version. LOL!

This is am amazing watch that works with pixel phone seamlessly. Great gadget to keep track of your physical fitness journey and stay healthy. It has great applications from google. However, it does your calculate calories even when you are not wearing the watch. I think this is done based on your BMI, but I can not get the watch to stop counting these calories, because I am only interested in understanding how much I burn when I am wearing that watch. Maybe there should be an option for this.

One of the best smartwatches I've ever owned. The Fitbit integration with the smarts of Wear Os 3 really makes it a fun functional smart accessory. As for the design, while most smartwatches are copying apple watches design. The Pixel Watch stands out with its infinity dome, it pulls of the edgeless look. It comes with a small and large sports strap, that is comfortable for most of the day. But there is a caveat to the watch strap. If you don't like rubber/silicone like watch straps. It might irritating. But the watch straps can be replaced with Google certified watch straps.

I have been holding out on getting a smartwatch until the Pixel & it was definitely worth the wait. The integration with Fitbit is very good. I finally retired my Fitbit Versa and the Google Pixel Watch was a definite upgrade. The only draw back is the battery life. A full charge lasts from 24-36 hours. But usually 24.

By and large, I’m happy with it, but as with anything, there are a few things here and there I think are annoying - battery life for one. But able to get it to manageable levels of providing life by turning off some features on the Pixel Watch that try to do some same functions as my phone. The tradeoff for longer battery life is to optimize functionality outside of fitness tracking that the watch comes with. Fitbit integration is good but it is not easy when you change your phone. I had to reset the watch to factory settings when I changed my Pixel 6 to Pixel 7 Pro. Would I recommend the Pixel Watch? If you’re in the Google ecosystem and think you might actually use the apps and functionality that come packed into the watch.
