Absolutely amazing android watch, definitely the closest thing to the apple watch so far. The pixel watch gives a very easy and smooth user & navigational experience. Came from a galaxy watch 4 classic which was honestly riddled with issues. If you can deal with the higher price tag, you're in for a treat from this watch.

It has a older processor and it's somewhat minimal in what you can do on it compared to the apple watch but it's not bad. It's efficient and surprisingly stylish but I can't trust a watch without sapphire glass seeing I personally bump into things waist level being tall. But for the price it really shouldn't be this behind with it's compactors aka the Samsung watches which are cheaper and higher spec.

    Decent Smart Watch

In general, I like this watch. I upgraded from a Fossil Gen 5 Carlyle watch, and it easily outperforms it. The screen resolution is crisp, and the screen animations are both snappy and smooth. I also get about 1 1/2 to 2 days of battery life using the settings out of the box. The smaller size compared to my previous watch has also grown on me, and its comfort on my wrist is a definite plus. My gripes: 1) In order to keep up the battery life, I have to turn off the "always on" screen option. 2) I'm not certain about how I feel about eventually paying for fitness tracking features via Fitbit. I believe you can still use Google Fit with this, but, honestly, I haven't tried to yet because I still in the 6-month free Fitbit trial. 3) Though the "bezel-less" design is very nice, I'm deathly afraid of smacking this against the edge of something really hard and scratching, chipping, and/or breaking this. I've played hell trying to find after market screen protectors and bezels to protect the screen. 4) I think this is overpriced at $350. I felt marginally better about buying this when it was on sale over the holidays for about $300. I would suggest to anyone else interested in this watch to wait for sales also. Otherwise, this fits my needs which are basically timekeeping, fitness tracking, Google Nest compatibility and accessing other occasional Google features that I would find on my phone.

Hi ThomasM, we’re glad to hear that you like the Pixel Watch in general, and that it fits your needs. We appreciate you for pointing out your concerns about some of its features.

The new Google Pixel Watch is a fully featured smartwatch with LTE capabilities, a bright display and robust haptics. These features require additional power over what is needed for other devices, but also provides helpfulness and health insights even when you don’t have your phone on you (LTE only). Maximum battery life is approximate and is based on testing using pre-production hardware and software, and use of certain features will decrease battery life. Battery life depends on features enabled, usage, environment and many other factors. You can turn on Battery Saver when your Google Pixel Watch battery gets low. Please note while Battery Saver is on, the ""Always-on screen"" and ""Tilt-to-wake"" feature will be set to Off. We’re focused on delivering quality products to our customers. That means obsessing over the details and ensuring products last a long time. We’re also focused on giving our customers value for the price, including the six months of Fitbit Premium, and three months of YouTube Premium with every purchase of Pixel Watch.

Meanwhile, you might want to check for the ZAGG InvisibleShield® Ultra Clear Screen Protector for Google Pixel Watch* that provides edge-to-edge protection from scratches and impacts. And we encourage you to contact your retailer for product availability

I'm new to smart watches (though I've had a fitness watch before) and this is a decent watch and the battery lasts about 2 days before having to charge. I have AOD off. Did I mention this watch is very pricey compared to the competitors? Yes very expensive. The watch is not very exciting or anything. I sometimes forget about the watch when I charge it overnight and remember like 4 days later that I own a watch. One thing I kind of wish was that there was a small secondary battery or feature or something that displays the time if the main battery goes out so that I can still at least keep track of time. After all, this is called a "watch" right?

I've had to watch for a couple of weeks and so far it's okay. I have a pixel 6 so it communicates with the phone flawlessly. It's a pretty good watch, although I think the price is a little bit too steep for this phone.

I purchased on November 2022. on January 2024 the watch started having issues, not charging, getting hot while wearing it, would not sync or track my excercise. warranty only last 1 year. The watch lasted 14 months. not worth for the $350 price. apparently there is a lot of customers having issues with Google watches. I contacted Google and they say there is nothing they can do (what about making a better product or extending the warranty?) wont buy Google watches again. Considering a class action lawsuit

Run the opposite way. Google is charging a premium for a 4-year-old processor. This is some seriously old school technology they're using in this old watch. They're charging you more than a Galaxy watch5. Do not purchase it. The battery life is terrible. Also it's not worth the money at all. Don't buy pixel watches. Wait until they respect the buyer and offer up up to date processing speeds along with higher quality newer watches. This watch is an old watch. They finally brought to the market. That's 4 years old.

It was a good product. Shape, battery life, and aesthetic, were on point. Wasn’t too thick and the vibrations were very good. Only area I felt was lacking was app support. There’s no Nike Run Club. I really liked the sport band despite some people saying it looked funny because it was so easy to put on and take off. Price is also too high. You could get an Apple Watch SE for 250, or an equivalent Apple Watch series 8 for a similar price with more features and apps. I think if the pixel watch either had more features/apps, or lower price, then I would recommend it over an Apple Watch for now, but great initial launch for a pixel product!

A few things made me drop the rating on this watch. It is advertised as having an oxygen sensor, but the sensor isn't activated. And it is a little expensive for what you get.

Nice first generation watch but had to return

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The watch is very nice for a first generation. It is very attractive and looks very nice. I really wanted to love it but I had to return it. Here is why. 1. Size. Is to small for me and there is only one size option. If you have perfect vision or you wear glasses then you are good. 2. Fragile. The way the glass is surrounding the watch is very prone to getting hit. Maybe for someone in an office would be great. I work outside moving boxes and lifting things. I bumped it a few times and my heart dropped everytime. A solution is to buy a bezel protector but its just adding to the price. 3. Battery. Am sure google is tired of hearing this but its honestly a problem. When I contacted google the answer was to use battery saver and or turn off certain things. They also recomended charging more frequent. Honestly if you paying a premium price you expect to use the watch to its full potential at all times. 4. Price. You paying a good amount of money compared to other watches with even better specs. I honestly think is a bit overpriced. If you are not in the USA and got it for free with the purchase of the Pixel 7 pro then hey thats great and by all means is worth it. I'm personally a strong google user. I own the Pixel 7 pro (which I love), pixel buds pro (which I love) and the regular buds, nest audio, and many more google products so I'm not a hater. I"m just honest. The watch is very nice, very attractive and what I suggest would be to give it a try and if its not to your liking return it. I hope for the next generation google will offer more options like a Pixel watch Pro (bigger screen, bigger battery and more rugged). Without hesistation I would get it.
