Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

Upgraded my TV, the old N dual Band router was not cutting it anymore. Now I am able to stream 4k Netflix on my LG OLED!. not to mention consistent 100+ speed throughout the house!

Replaced older Linksys system in hope of better coverage. House is three levels, just under 3500 sq ft. I have an Audio Recording/Video editing studio on the lowest level (walkout) and my wife's office at the opposite end of the home on the 3rd level. I cannot find a single weak signal anywhere in my home. I even get fair to good coverage in my unattached pole barn 40 ft from the house! Install couldn't be easier. All in all a great product.

Easy setup, and no dead spots anymore, and now my WiFi doesn't drop out as much as it used to. Well worth the price, can"t wait until summer and being able to WiFi in my back yard.

Got rid of the cable company modem/router combo, and bought my own router and google wifi. We’ve had it for two years and couldn’t be happier. Strong signal throughout the house, as well as most of our yard. The range is great. Very easy to set up, and use. This combined with the modem consistently gets us speeds about 20% higher than our cable company advertises.

Fantastic Router System: Perfect for Google Fiber

This Router system is Awesome. It was easy to set up and my house is now blanketed in WiFi. I've tried using one router and one router plus a wired access point, and even 2 routers....nothing works as well or speedy as Google Wifi. FYI, for all you Google Fiber users: their Network box only allows 12 wireless devices and you can put it into Bridge mode. So I was worried about this Google Wifi and ending up with a double Nat situation. I'm 'double Natted' and everything works great. All my smart plugs and switches, smart TVs and streaming devices, all my computers, cellphones, tablets, and all my gaming systems. I highly highly recommend this.

It was very easy to set up and it just works. I kind of forgot about it because I have had no problems since setting it up a month ago. It was also great that they added filtering.

Moved to maine. Have one of those long thin maine houses. 96 feet. My spectrum provided WiFi router worked for about 50 feet of it. Best buy reccomended this. It's amazing. Set them up in a V pattern. Coverage works outside now. Setup was simple, maybe 8 minutes. Hasn't dropped simce i bought it, almost a month. Fast enough for 2 game systems and the wife watching a lifetime movie (spoiler alert; the man did it). Buy it.

I couldn't recommend Google Wifi enough. I was previously using rented equipment from my ISP (Bright House / Charter Spectrum), which was fine, but left me with some really iffy coverage in my basement and garage. Since getting Google Wifi, I have zero issues in either of those spots and elsewhere in my house. Further, after having paired it with an Arris Surfboard modem, my overall connection is MUCH more reliable. My connection reliability wasn't terrible, but I was finding I was having to restart my rented modem / router combo unit relatively frequently. The Surfboard and Google Wifi combo is unbelievably more reliable, and I'm actually getting consistently faster speeds with the exact same speed package from my ISP. Setup is incredibly simple, and the app is really great. From reading reviews before I purchased, I kept reading one major gripe was the lack of direct access to the router, and only limited advanced setup options from the app. For my needs, this isn't really an issue for me. I'm tech-savvy, but the mesh system is simple to setup and works as it's supposed to, so I don't really have any personal complaints there. I researched competing mesh systems heavily, and this seemed like the best bang for the buck in my opinion. It seems like better setups exist, but you're also going to pay for it, and closer to about $500 for similar coverage. My entire square footage is about 2700, so the 3-pack is a bit overkill for my needs, but it just made sense to me from a cost standpoint to spend $300 for the 3-pack instead of $260 to purchase 2 units separately. And I'd rather have overkill than one corner of the house missing out on connectivity.

Previously owned Netgear Orbi... had blazing speed but disconnected so often I just gave up. Was on first name basis with their tech team. Picked up the google WiFi system and haven’t looked back. Low maintenance, fast (same as the orbi) reliable. Just easy. Smart Phone app pretty basic but works for me. Fully recommend this product.

My cable connects at one end of the house, but I need WIFI all the way at the other end, strong enough to stream movies in the back bedroom! I had a Linksys router for a LONG time (years!) with a range extender, but each time I passed the midpoint in my house, I would have to re-connect to the extender and vice versa! Then my cable guy was here doing repairs one day, and commented on the AGE of my router and it was time to update! I tried the newest conventional router, but again, even with an extender, the mbps were lower than expected! Along came Google's pod system, and even though it was more than I wanted to pay, what a difference it has made! I have one pod next to my computer, one 2 rooms (and walls) away, and the last one back in the bedroom section, passing through another 3 walls. Even my lowest mbps count is higher than I ever had on my other system! It works flawlessly from one room to the next, and I don't have the hassle of reconnecting when I walk through the house! When I first got it, If the count seemed "low" (and just because I liked to see the higher numbers, now that I was into triple digits!) I'd disconnect and reconnect to assure I was attached to the closest pod, and the numbers would be extremely high! I got over that fascination pretty quickly, knowing that the system DOES catch up to where you are pretty quickly, and am pleased to know that no matter where I am in this house, I have enough OOMPH to stream, surf, or play a game, and not worry about buffering! Frustration gone!!! SO worth the extra bucks!

Have been in a new 6200 sq. ft. home with three levels.for a couple of years and struggled with consistent coverage that performs at a high level. This Google Whole Home Wi-Fi was extremely easy to install and the signal strength is outstanding in every room and extends as well to my surrounding yard. I have over 25 wireless connections that are accessing the network at times with excellent performance. A very happy customer!

I honestly did not expect such great performance from these mesh units. I put one beside the Xfinity router in the office, another in the family room, and a third upstairs in the bonus room. In our 3400 sq ft 2 story house I have no less than 4 out of 5 bars throughout. Set up was a breeze. Worth almost every penny, still slightly pricey but I'm not complaining due to the outstanding performance.

Adequately covered our 2700 square foot 2-story home and a basement. Our router is in the second story where we have 100 mbs and the basement smart TV received 30 mbs, so good enough for streaming. Very easy set up -it actually guides you on where to set up the devices based on the strength of signal. Only downside is that the main device doesn't have any extra Ethernet ports, which is minor for most folks.

I was impressed with this router it was easy to setup, and has a good range even on its own, and I have not experienced any dropped signals. The only downside is there is only 1 free ethernet port so i picked up a small switch. Also the phone app to monitor and test your internet has lots of features you usually only get with an expensive enterprise level network equipment.
