I purchased the Google WiFi to help boost my WiFi signal throughout the house. It is working at 199mbps download and 185mbps upload, from our google WiFi in the bedroom. When I tested the router that frontier supplied, from across the house, in my bedroom (same location) I am getting 3mbps and 7mbps upload from a 200mbps connection. So, Yes, it is working well and I would definitely recommended it to purchase!

This has greatly increased my wi-fi coverage and speed throughout my house. I really like the ease of use and the visibility. With my old router, I was getting 87mbps download on my circuit, right after upgrading, it shot up to 237mbps download. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there have been some strange hiccups with my wi-fi. Some devices fall off for a while and then come back on and I can't identify why that is happening. I've sent a note of to support but have not heard back. I was evaluating this against Eero. I would expect both systems to have similar coverage and speed, but Eero was almost two times as much. I would also think that support for Eero would be more responsive, but this is just a guess given my experience with Google.

I live in a large 2 story home with a lot of brick which prevented great wifi distance and reception. After purchasing the wifi mesh system it took less than 10 minutes to setup and I was quickly optimizing a few settings and connecting all devices. The thing that took the most time was probably selecting a network ID and password. I would definitely buy again and have recommended it numerous times to family and friends.

I wanted this for better wifi on my back deck in my condo and it works great. It solved my problem.
