My office room is in upstairs. My speed jumped from 6 mbps to 120 mbps. FYI if I place my laptop beside my router, on 5 Ghz band I get 240 mbps.

However, google wifi has made it easy for set up and use. Not to mention the attractiveness of the product. I have had minimal issues and would recommend this to anyone.
