Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

It just works; plain and simple! I don't know what else I can say to be honest. After fighting with the Linksys Velop for over a year I decided to give Google WiFi a chance. The Velop system (in my opinion) is horrible. The system is constantly crashing and/or performing poorly where as Google WiFi performs flawlessly. For reference, I have the 400/40 internet package with my local cable company (Spectrum) and I receive close to 500Mbps hardwired or via wireless! All access points/nodes switch my devices to the closest unit, too if a stronger signal is detected whereas the Velop system will not (from my experience). Again, I can't say enough good things about this gadget. If you're looking to get full internet speeds via WiFi than this is your answer. Well worth the money in every way.

This has to be by far one of the easiest routers I've ever had to set up. Even though I ended up purchasing an additional, the single unit has pretty good range, with excellent speed for what the internet in my area can cover.

Sets up great, is stylish, is priced decent. Wish it had MIMO but it does not. But I don’t notice when it comes to performance. I’d definitely buy again and would recommend.

These are a great alternative to your local providers routers. The small size and ease of setup allow you to place them where needed and quickly get them up and running. The mesh network established a great connection from my basement base location to the upstairs satellite unit. My signal strength is now strong and consistent throughout the house. The app is easy to use and allows you to monitor your network from anywhere. This allowed me to see when my internet was down and make a call prior to me getting home. Just a tip here the 3 pack drops the cost per unit as does the 2 pack so find a friend and go in together for a little savings. Each unit can function as a base or satellite. So you can mix and match out of different box’s.

I replaced my nighthawk router with these. While technically the nighthawk was capable of faster speeds I still had streaming issues with the Xbox and roku. These have 0 issues. Also they don't look like a router and you can turn the light off in case it is in your bedroom. I have a smart home so about 22 things are connected all the time. Everything is working great.

Bought these for a friend. Installed these in his 2 story house. Put first one in basement for television, hooked up easily. Installed second one on the first floor to cover the rest of the house, no problem. Installed the third one out in his garage to cover his music streaming, no problem. He told me after using for a while, everything is working well. Problems cured.

    The Best WiFi Ever

I learned about this new WiFi device from Google after I spoke to a tech at Best Buy, who was very knowledgeable with home routers. I then went online and researched for myself and discovered that the signal strength was so much better than even some of the higher routers on the market. Plus it was very reasonably priced in comparison and very easy to setup. My family and I have experienced a significant improvement in our connection to all of our devices. We have 4 cell phones, 2 Xboxes, 3 blue ray players, 2 smart tv, and 3 Bose sound systems, and they all have much higher connectivity. Plus we stream a lot via Netflix, Hulu, and Pandora and there is no lagging like before when I had a linksys router. Our home is 2 stories and about 3,000 square feet and these 3 Google WiFi devices work fantastically.

I gave it 4 stars because there is one feature that I wish it had, and that is MAC filtering. MAC filtering would add an extra layer of security to the password that is required to join the network. Other than that I am glad that I purchased it, My streaming devices do not glitch or lag. My family uses iphones, android phones, ipads, android tablets, Netflix, Xbox, Alienware laptop, and Amazon FireTV cube, I get the full 100Mbps plus more download speed provided by my ISP. I have my work laptop connected to work, through VPN on the guest network, and when streaming is going on on the main network, I do not drop the VPN connection. Controlling my kids Wi-Fi is easy I can schedule time when the Wi-Fi is available, or I can turn off Wi-Fi with one click through the app on my phone. I do not need to be home I can control it anywhere where there is an internet connection. You do need a gmail account to manage and setup the device. There is no local web management of the device you can only do it through an app that gets installed on your phone. I thought this would be a problem for me, because I am old school, but I find it more convenient and easier to manage it this way. Setup was easy it only took 45 minutes from unboxing, setting it up, installing the management application on my phone and then and adding all of my devices. Adding the devices took the longest because of how many we use.

I purchased these to complement the Google Onhub router I purchased a while back. I promised myself I would stop buying Google products after they abondoned the OnHub and never activated the USB port. But that's for another day. I was debating whether to purchase these or the Samsung equivalent with Smartthings Integrated. My SmartHub works perfectly fine, and the Google routers were a much better deal ($269.99 for 3). Plus these would pair easily with the OnHub router. Set-up couldn't have been any easier. My condo is brick construction as well, so even though it is small, all the nooks and crannies create dead zones in some spots. The Google Routers allowed me to place them strategically throughout the condo and eliminate all dead zones. Drastically improved my conference calling via wifi as well.

As it has 3 hubs, you can place it around the house and get a consistent signal wherever you are in the house and it does not compromise speed. Set was easy and simple. The glowing light on the hub also makes for a good night lamp

I have a 2500 Sq foot home. When internet was installed it was placed in the far back corner. As the need for wireless increased throughout the house, I was having significant issues with signal strength. I put an extender in, but with only moderate improvement. I talked with the local store who recommended this option instead. I was hesitant at first as I am not very tech savvy. I got it anyway and was amazed how extremely easy it was to install. One unit is hard wired to the router via Ethernet and then I placed two others wirelessly placed closer to the areas where we are likely to stream wirelessly. The system then set itself up, tested the network and signal strength. It has worked flawlessly despite a couple of storm related power outages. It’s great.
