Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

This router was the easiest I've ever dealt with. I just had to plug it in, then get the app on my phone. The app used to set up works well and I've had no issues since install. If you are looking to do a custom type of set up, this is not for you. You are not able to make much of any modifications during set up. You also don't set up separate profiles/passwords for the 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz bands. You only set up your one password and then the router will transfer to whichever band has the best throughput. You are also able to set up a separate guest network. It's been working well and I'm happy with the purchase!

This was actually a gift for my in laws. I got sick of having to deal with their U-verse router/modem and these work great using the modem as a bridge. I do not have to deal with them calling me anymore to troubleshoot their network and I have signal all over their home

The entire house is covered in clear wifi perfection now. Good seamless coverage anywhere on all devices. I even have random people in my neighborhood connected to the network, and what's great is the amount t of control I have with just a push of a button on the app!

This is very easy to setup and use. Once you download the app, it walks you through the process. I've been very happy with my internet speeds all over my apt. I love that I can easily use the app to monitor my network when I'm not home. It does have port forwarding, which I thought was missing along w some other advanced features. Some of the family pause options could be better; it's either paused or it's not. I wish I could set specific times and days of the week, but it is what it is. It does what I needed it for, which was fast internet in multiple rooms. I am very pleased with this, despite some minor shortcomings

So i got Introduced to the WiFi mesh system by a friend. I’ve been struggling to get good signal around the house and always had dead spots. Home is only 16,000sqft. I had Two Apple routers that kept loosing signal or would just give out poor signal in general. Made the switch to google mesh system and i could Not be any more happy with everything about it. Setup was super easy with the app by google. Now i get full WiFi speeds at any part of the house. Must buy if your still having poor WiFi signal and speed.

Google Wifi Is very easy to setup and performs well. I initially purchased a Netgear Orbi, but I was having issues with the stability. Overall, the Orbi (when working) had higher speeds when connected to the satellites, but the Google Wifi has totally acceptable performance and has been more stable.

Great set of mesh Wi-Fi. User friendly. Easy to install. I have a Frontier modem and set up was easy for me. I had one of those dual modem/router sets but all I did was turn off the Wi-Fi feature on my Frontier modem and it works great. Now to save money I just need to call Frontier to give me a modem without Wi-Fi so I’m not paying for something I’m not using. My home is only 1824 sqft and a 10,000 sqft lot so 3 units are probably overkill but I wanted to have enough to go around my cinder/concrete/plaster walls. No issues. No regrets. I’m really happy with this purchase.

Out of the box and installed in just a few short minutes. I wasn't happy I couldn't control the IP range but sent off a comment to their support and got an email back saying they have add that functionality after a week or so. I was surprised by the fast response.

We have DSL and maybe would get 4.5 mbps on a good day which is pretty slow, if you were more than 15 feet from the router it didn't work well but the google wi fi fixed that issue. we can even use the roku at the for end of the downstairs!!! its a great product!!!!

This router was easy to set up. It was also easy to add another router as a mesh point to extend the wifi throughout the house. The app is easy to use and I love that the wifi points update themselves with the newest software. No more routers with year old firmware.

We bought this on advice of salesman. I had a 10 by 20 wired building and we had converted it into a nice bedroom. We could not get the internet to extend that far even after buying a nighthawk extender. The room was about 50 feet behind the house. I figured I would be taking it back. My Grandson told me he was getting 74 mbps on his PlayStation the other night. This is high tech and well worth the money. I stood in my yard about 100 feet outside and checked , I Had 72 mbps. I believe I could go up to 500 feet. I would still be in the 10 to 20 mbps range.

I needed a new router. The one I had was getting older and starting to not work in all of our rooms. I went to BB and an employee helped me. I was hesitant to spend that much but I needed the router to reach all the rooms. We have about a 2500 square foot home. So I decided to try it. I was worried about set up. It was so easy to set up. It works all from an app on my phone. I think it took me maybe a half an hour tops to do it, maybe even less. We now have strong Wifi in every room of the house and in the back yard. Maybe even the neighbors get our signal. Best investment!

Easy to set up, and works exactly as expected. No more wifi dead zones in my house. Would be cool if it had a few more advanced networking options, but it had enough to classify certain devices on private IPs and port forward to them. Stop reading this and buy it.

The product was just as advertised. WiFi is never under 60 MBPS even in the furthest reaches of my home including the back porch. Packaging was better than provided by most manufacturers; the instructions were simple yet totally sufficient. The setup was easy.

This is the easiest router I’ve ever set up. The three devices service about 4000 sf on 3 floors with 6 bedrooms. There is not a single spot in the house that drops even one bar. Speeds are excellent. No drops, lock ups or reboots required. The parental controls are also a breeze for either or both parents to control from a smartphone. The units can be programmed to have lights completely off, which allows us to put them in the guest rooms without having flashing lights all day and night. This is a wonderful router set-up with excellent software and firmware.

Our wifi was spotty in our hour based on the location where our provider wired the router. However when we added this to the equation we now have perfect reach troughout both floors of our home. Consider adding a 4th unit if your home is over 3000 square feet.

My family had been complaining about our WiFi for some time and I started looking at options to replace several aging Access Points I had in different parts of the house to give coverage. My plan was to get new Access Points so I initially purchased a Linksys - MAX-STREAM™ AC1900 Dual Band Repeater with MU-MIMO for the upstairs and a Linksys - RE9000 AC3000 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi Range Extender as the main access point on my main level. I could never get a consistent signal and stable connection so I returned them both and then tried a NETGEAR - Nighthawk AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit Mesh Capable Wi-Fi Range Extender. This worked a bit better, but I still was not getting a stable signal and it seemed to drop in and out. For whatever reason (middle-aged man, reluctant to change, I guess...) I had put off trying a Mesh Network in spite of the strong advice of several Best Buy employees, and that voice of reason in the back if my head that was saying to try it. Doing some research and reading LOTS of reviews, I decided to try the Google system since it was priced a bit lower than some of the other systems and it had great reviews. I also wanted to get a system that allowed Ethernet Back-haul as I have my entire home wired with RJ45 jacks in every room. Given the size of my home and the amount of WiFi-signal-blocking stuff in the walls, I need a system that can be hardwired at each node. My main hub is in the basement in the "IT Room" where all of my networking gear home-runs. I have the 2nd in my kitchen and the third upstairs in the MBR. Setup was pretty simple. Just download the app and follow the instructions. I had one node that didn't take on the first try but I did a reset and reinstalled it and it was just fine after that. The hardwired connection was recognized and the app confirmed an excellent connection at each location. Using my Speedtest app, I am getting 75 to 110mbps download speeds from my 100mb Spectrum service. So far I have been very pleased and a bit mad at myself for waiting so long to switch from access points and WiFi extenders to a mesh network! I now have just 1 SSID for the entire home instead of the 8 that I had before! I will keep an eye on the performance but so far everything is working well. I've even gotten positive comments from my family about the noticeable improvement in stability and quality.
