Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

Researched for a few months before pulling the trigger. I bought it right after moving to a new house. Super easy to set up. And no need to fiddle afterwards. Hopefully it will last a long time. Awesome product! Worth every penny!

I bought this to replace my under performing and outdated wifi router. I can i am not disappointed at all with the purchase. It was very easy to set up and use. The app is super simple to be able to control everything. The coverage I have been getting is great. I have a 1500 sqft, 2-story home. I have the main one located in my office, set-up a second one in my living room and set the third one out in the garage. I have had no signal drop and it has been working great.

Easy set up alone makes this a good product. Care was definitely taken in making this as headache free as possible. The network preforms pretty great with decent penetration and coverage, and the set up app helps to fine tune as needed. My one grip is that router management is all in the app, a web based portal would be nice, but the point is for the management to be simple, which it is. Was able to configure port forwarding and DHCP reservation easily and the access points have given me no issues.

Anyone who has a Google Network Box knows that they are horrendous if you have more than 10 devices wirelessly. Tried Asus and Linksys routers, were not compatible and Google Fiber would not help troubleshoot 3rd party routers. Bought this thinking I'll get Google on my side to troubleshoot. Plug and play was simple, easy and it worked out of the box. It has been amazing! Complete difference, have a total of 45 wireless devices not one hiccup. Happy customer! Plus with Elite I was able to get a price match for $30 off 35 days later.

I was hesitant at first to purchase this because of the cost. However, I currently have to run two extenders in my house to reach the front of my house and my backyard. With the Google Wifi, I was able to remove those extenders and even have coverage across the street in front of my house. The speeds are amazing and I have had zero issues with it. The setup is very simple. My only knock is that you do everything through the Google Wifi app, so if you dont have internet, then it will connect obviously.

I bought these to replace my Linksys EA6500. They work great and the signal is super quick. Each individual unit can hardwire to one device as well as provide WIFI to multiple devices. I have first in my living room, the 2nd in my bedroom across the house and the third in center of the house. My WIFI coverage is great and I have zero issues with internet going to 3 smart TV’s, 3 Xbox One’s, and multiple iphones and ipads. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is having coverage issues with a single router.

Love this, as I was getting slow and spotty wifi in my basement and garage where I need wifi due to having a car that needs internet for software updates. Installed 3 google wifi points including one in the basement and have great coverage everywhere. System auto picks which band and wifi point to use. Also, can setup a guest network easily with its own password and has a great app that lets you see all devices connected, what’s active, etc. Only minor complaint is the google system makes choices for you such as what band to use so you lose some control. While it attempts to pick the “best” setting, sometimes it’s preferable to switch to a certain band for other reasons, in my case due to interference with another device where I wanted to see if switching bands would help. Overall, a great set it and forget it product.

Blazing Fast Internet, Crazy Easy Setup

    Posted .

I have Verizon's Gigabit internet, and its Quantum router. Rated at 1000/1000 internet speed. However, wireless devices usually pull much less, in the 200-300 range. So I tried Google Wifi. Easiest setup ever. Plug it in, download and launch the Google WiFi app on your phone, and in a few taps on your screen, you're done. A lot of Verizon forums say you have to take all these advanced steps within your Quantum router, like you need to get into the router and do a 'dns release/renew' and on and on. Nonsense. I didn't have to do any of that. Plug it in, and it just works, flawlessly. As for speed, its WiFi is considerably faster than the Quantum router's WiFi. See the screenshots. I have to say, this is a game changer. Highly recommended.

Bought this for my daughter who has a 2,400 SF townhouse, set up with very easy and wifi connection is superb. They have an extra unit and when they finish their basement they will probably put the 3rd unit in the lower level.

I tried a range extender and it was terrible. Swithched to Google WiFi and it’s been amazing. Easy setup, consistent fast network throughout my home. The app allows you to disconnect devices and monitor who is on your network.

I am writing this review after using the product for more than two years. I can say it has performed well and I am very satisfied. Very easy to setup. Everything is controlled from the app. I was able to connect to my existing wired devices as well. Powerful, yet easier to configure than my previous Linksys and (even worse) D-Link devices. Having three access points gives me excellent coverage into all living spaces and the backyard.

The Google Wifi system is an absolute must for those with larger homes or homes that have a lot of interference (like mine). Creating the mesh network has solved all of my wifi connection issues within my home. Furthermore, with the handy app you can easily monitor network traffic, shut off access for non-trusted devices or children and setup priority devices. Overall, it's easy to use. I currently use it not only as my wifi router, but my wired router as well (via a connected switch).

I am so glad I pulled the trigger and bought the Google WiFi finally. I've read/watched a lot of reviews and all were pretty much the same... it's awesome. Here is my review: It's awesome! Very easy to setup.. very easy to manage... and the coverage it provides is amazing. I live in a 2 level ~2500sq/ft house and we had many WiFi challenges with our previous setup but now we have very strong signal strength in every corner of the house and even outside in the front/back yards! I'm VERY pleased with this purchase.

I have recently had internet issues reaching all over my house as our up/down is supposed to be 75/75. I originally went in for a wifi extender, but ended buying this instead. Well worth the extra cost!! Our up/down speed in the front part of house went from 3 down/1 up to 60/60. My wife who works from home can now watch TV, listen to music, and do all her work without any internet slowdowns. The product was extremely easy to setup. Download the app follow instructions and your up and running in 5 minutes.

The set up was extremely easy. I now get constant speed through out the entire house and it even extends to half the back yard. This blows away the single router system previously in use in range, speed and amount of connected devices. And having used extenders, the mesh system eliminates the need for another SSID. I do wish I had a way to connect through a browser, only setup is through the phone app, but that is nice and easy to use. There tools available in the app are nice as well.

Moved into new house and needed new home network. I have used various routers over the years but this time was worried about reliable coverage everywhere due to house geometry. So I tried the Google WiFi AC1200 system. Easiest setup I have ever done. Took the nodes out of the package, downloaded the Google WiFi app to my iphone, and started plugging in the nodes. The Google WiFi app did all the heavy lifting. In a matter of minutes I had the mesh network up and running. No dead/weak spots anywhere in the house.

I live in 4 story townhome and have suffered poor WiFi coverage. I have tried multiple devices, ncluding more powerful routers, poerline adapters, and even an early mesh network. The Google Mesh exceeded my expectations and now get a consisten 68 megs - plus on all 4 levels. The required app is scary good making it easy to see how it is all works from anywhere in the world. I at first doubted all the great reviews and decided to try it myself. It has now been about 4 weeks and could not be happier!
