    If you don't know what a subnet, DHCP reservation, or static IP address are then this product could be great for you. It's designed to be simple to set up and start using. Unfortunately, that simplicity comes at a very steep cost for people who have custom network setups. The ability to do something as simple as set a reserved DHCP address is painful to put it mildly. There's no web UI, so it has to be done through their (quite frankly defective) mobile UI. You can't type in the MAC address, so you have to hope that the device shows up in the list, which it won't always. Then when you're lucky enough to find it and set a reservation, the router in its infinite wisdom will change subnet settings and change the reservation too. In my case their software thought it detected a conflict with a non-existent router on the same subnet and simply switched the subnet's IP range without asking. Google: What part of DHCP don't you understand? That's just one example of many where custom/advanced setups simply will be alergic to working with Google WiFi.
