I was told I could replace my internet provider with the google wifi unit. Not so! Took unit back for refund.

These are great for extending the range of your WiFi but not great for online gaming due to double NAT issues.

I couldn't tell a difference. Maybe I did it wrong or something but that my take.

My purchase was predicated on information the salesperson at Best Buy gave me as far as strengthening my WiFi signal goes. I had the Geek Squad set up the product for me and it just doesn't work in my home. So, I scheduled a second appointment with the Geek Squad to troubleshoot the initial installation. Soon I will switch to another office supply business.

I switched out these with another Mesh system. Google system kept failing between hubs.

I like them but they have to be in the perfect spot to work how they are suppose to.

So let’s start this off by saying this product is genuinely good, maybe even great! So why the 1 star you ask? The one star reflects the available features you can use but are limited to how you’re able to implement them. In other words, this product seems geared toward the average user that will plug this in behind their modem, setup their network passwords (primary & guest), and forget it’s there for the next 4+ years. If I just described you, this should be a 5 ⭐️ product for you. Anyone with plans of using any of the additional features should avoid. Port forwarding, Pi-Hole or other custom DNS setups, IP Reservations, etc should avoid. There’s forums with tons of people having the same problem. I wasn’t a believer when I first jumped on the product either then found myself having the same problems. Gave support a try but they were of no help. Their solution was not using port forwarding or static IP’s. The last possible solution for me is a factory reset.

Returned the item and bought an eeco system which is simply a better product.

Wish they were more stable move it one inch and lose signal move in other direction speed varies quite a bit.

Set-up was not to difficult but I cannot really tell if it has helped increase the speed or signal strength.

No issues with general web surfing, but did not seem to have the same speed as my old router to support gaming.

I am disappointed that only after 2 1/2 years the Google Wifi is no longer working and after speakin with Google support for 5 hours they need to be replaced. I purchased the extended warrantee and it expired 6 months ago. If you purchase it invest in the extended warrantee for the maximum amout of time.

Google and Best Buy neglect to tell customer that each WiFi device can not be more than 30 feet apart . Also, more than 1 wall is a problem. If you have thick walls forget it, signal will not pass through. This goes for multi level homes. The 4,500 square feet it covers must be an extremely open floor plan single level.

Was expecting it to be more powerful then it is. Not sure how much it has helped.

Have had trouble getting it to work correctly. Have tried moving it around the house to no prevail.

Product is just ok. Promblem is range. Twenty feet away behind closed door and get broken signal.

We have a 1400 sq. ft. house and have 3 boosters - not really sure they are making a difference.

Item came highly recommended, unfortunately I don’t think I’ve noticed much of an improvement.

Good product...wish it could use dual band technology. One of the 3 wifi points stopped working.
