Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

I purchased the 3-pack from Best-Buy on May 13. Coverage and speed exceeds my expectations. We have a 2600 sq.ft. 2-story home. Previously had a 2010 Apple Time Capsule as my sole Wifi source, putting out about 60 MB/s via Cox Prime. Speed down the hall at my desktop was 20-30 MB/s at best, and at my Ring doorbell outside, was so bad that it did not work much of the. Now we are getting 55-65 MB/s throughout the entire house and 40-50 outside. Set-up was quick and easy with one exception. When registering the main unit on the internet, my first attempt to capture an image of the bar code was poor quality, but the on-line prompts kept progressing until a I got a failure to connect message. I called the Google Wifi support and as they walked me through the same steps, I captured a good image and all went well. Adding the 2 clients was a snap with no help needed. I did the set-up using the Google Wifi App on my Android phone, and I also have a pre-existing Google account. Don't know if that makes setup easier or not.

    Saved my wifi

I am taking 2 online only college courses (in addition to 2 in class) and at my house, in my room I was averaging an intermittent 1.5mbps speed. After adding a wifi range extender, I was able to get a slightly more consistent connection, but it was still miserably slow. I finally broke down and got this because the router, and the extender were not working for me. I place 1 node by my modem, the other in my kitchen, and the last 1 in my bedroom, and my speeds went from 1.5mbps to over 27mbps (I pay for 25 by AT&T). This product has really saved my skin. I feel confident that I can work on school work at home now, and I can finally start playing video games again. Note, this is not the fastest mesh system that bestbuy sells, but what really sets it apart is how insanely easy it is to set up, its price point (almost $200 below the competition) and the fact that each unit has 2 ethernet ports, which is great for those pesky desktops like mine that don't support wireless. 10/10 would buy again.

    Better than the Orbi...

I purchased the 3 unit Orbi system last week because it got really good reviews from techie sites. However, I had trouble installing it and dealing with Netgear's tech support over several days (including long phone wait times) was awful. I decided to return the Orbi and was deciding between Plume or Google Wifi. I decided on Google because it was cheaper and got good reviews. I have a 3 level, 4k sq ft house and have around 20 wifi devices connected, including a Ring doorbell and 2 Ring floodlight cams. I was having issues with reaching these devices from my Airport Time Capsule router. I bought the Google Wifi from Best Buy yesterday, and all I have to say is...wow...it really works! It was very easy to set up and my Ring products work like a charm now. I'm highly impressed with this system as it's very user friendly and seems made for people who just want to plug and play. That's perfect for me as I'm not a techie by any means and just wanted something that worked well. I highly recommend this system.

    Love It!

After battling horribly spotty wifi in two homes and with two different carriers (Time Warner and AT&T) we were at our wits end. Paying for "high speed" internet and getting barely better than dial-up was getting old. Google Wifi was our last attempt to rectify the situation as our internet providers were unfailingly unhelpful and always shirked any kind of responsibility despite numerous complaints all over the internet (and our neighborhoods) about their outdated equipment and spotty wifi. I hooked it up in a matter of minutes and have not one problem since then. It's been about a month now and somedays running a speed test shows even higher download speeds than our plan offers. We have about a 2100 sq. ft. house and I have found ZERO dead spots. The network automatically picks up the strongest unit and there is no switching over lag like we had with prior extenders. It even lets you quickly set up a guest wifi network so you don't have to give out your passwords. We love Google Wifi and HIGHLY recommend it!

Easy Set up - One of three are dead after one year

This system is simple to set up, provides great range and speed (our provider is 100gbs) the app also has good tools for monitoring your system. Only problem is that one of the three units is dead after just over a year. am concerned about durability of the other two. Maybe the warrantee is worth getting, I expect this type of equipment to last a lot longer (indoors, doesn't move, no temperature challenges, etc.) disappointed.

    Working Great!

We bought this to replace our old router and so far it is working really well. The only hiccup we found is that we had to buy an extender piece to add more ethernet ports. We found that a few items require to be plugged in directly to the main unit that is connected to the modem (such as our alarm system and security cameras). But we have found no issues with our internet speed or connectivity. It was pretty easy to set up but I did have to call Google to get help on a couple of things (multiple items needing to be plugged in for one). However, tech support was very friendly and easy to work with. They were a great assistance. Wish it came with a few more helpful hints with the packaging - you don't get much - but that seems to be the thing these days - no instruction books. All in all we are very pleased with this unit and like that we can have hubs throughout the house.

Google WIFI is exactly what I needed in my house. We live in a large ranch style home and had one room at the far end of out home that would never pick up a wifi signal. I had tried multiple wifi repeaters in a number of locations and could never get a signal (not even a weak one) into this room. I pick up the Google WIFI with little hope of it working well enough to justify paying almost $300.00, but I am so glad that I did. Not only does it work fantastic in the far room of the house it covers my entire house with a better WIFI signal then I have ever had! For me this was worth every penny. Setup was a breeze, it took maybe 10 - 15 minutes and everything was up and running like a charm. This product seriously made my day!
