More than I expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous WiFi router was 7 years old. It didn't have half the functions this mesh router had. I purchased two, but only set up one. As a father it gives you so much power in your castle. I can pause the kids devices. Set pauses, bed times and stop functionality of WiFi devices. It is a great bargaining chip for children that do not complete chores. I run around the house in my underwear and yell "I have the pooooower!!! He-Man" it is so empowering having this device in your home. When you think you've lost the way Google comes in and saves the day. I highly recommend this device for homes with children. Just an app away from total control of your WiFi network. It's the infinity gauntlet of WiFi routers.

Google WIFI 1200
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took all of about 10 minutes to have all three pucks up and running, using my iPhone X. My home has 2100 square feet of space. My woodworking shop is located 130 feet from the home. I used two pucks in the home, at each end, and the third is located in the wood shop. The first time I started the shop unit, it reported the wifi was rated weak. A water-cooled PC managed to logon but the dual core PC couldn't get on my network. Went back the next day, and both were online and running happily. The Google WIFI rated the signal as great in the shop. Guess the system self-arranged some housekeeping overnight. I highly recommend this system !

Excellent Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a large home with the router in the basement. Complete wifi coverage with a single high end router was elusive. I tried the wifi extenders once and was not happy with the results. I purchased this product (4 wifi points) and I now have complete and fast wifi coverage in the whole house. My master bedroom on the second floor is on the opposite side of the house from where the basement router is located. Not only is web browsing much improved in the master bedroom but I can now view Netflix, Amazon, YouTube etc. on my Samsung Smart TV for the first time. This includes viewing 4k content with excellent results.

AWESOME
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 2.5 hours on the phone with Linksys technical support, I went to Best Buy to find another solution. Craig was VERY knowledgable on whole-home wifi systems, including Google Wifi, and he provided instructions on how to integrate Google Wifi with my Comcast modem. Setup with the app was a breeze, and I had 3 access points connected and up and running in 15 minutes. So far the wifi signal is strong and reliable throughout the house. I would highly recommend Google Wifi to anyone experiencing trouble with their current wifi network and looking for a simple and elegant solution.

set up easy, range...meh
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Old Airport extreme/express problems made me decide I needed to switch. Mesh reviews were excellent so I went with the Google Wifi 3 nodes. Set up was super fast. I had a glitch, called support, and got a guy who was pretty helpful. The spare port on the nodes was necessary, and I use one on all of them. However, main router from your modem should be the one ideally in the middle of the nodes. Your third node isn't talking to your second node, its trying to reach the first node. This makes me wonder why they call it a mesh. I got a work around that I did have an ethernet cable under my house (lucky) so I was able to hard line third to the first node. When I check performance, my 2nd node is 'weak' and sometimes it tells me to get it closer. However, these 3 locations are exactly where my Apple products were. A bit disappointing that the range isn't better than 5 year old Apple products. I like the ability to cut off kids internet from the app

Perfect for a hands-off wifi network
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We live in a two-story L-shaped home that is just shy of 2700 square feet and is loaded to the gills with more devices than we really need (smart TVs, Apple/Fire TVs, game systems, tablets, phones, laptops, etc.). I'm not tech-stupid but I'm also no genius, and networking has never been my wheelhouse. I've always had difficulty over the past three or four years with getting good, strong signals to all corners of the house. We've had more nights than I can remember of settling in for a movie on "the good TV" only to suffer the wrath of the buffering wheel due to the distance and walls between it and the router. After fiddling with different combinations of modems, routers, repeaters, etc., none of which really had any positive effect on our connectivity, I threw in the towel: we were just going to have to deal with switching our phones to LTE in the bedroom, or re-connecting to the wifi every time the office laptop was kicked off of it, or finishing the popcorn before the movie actually starts. Then I saw something about this "mesh network" stuff. After poking around, I found out about Google Wifi. Some more digging and I saw a lot of great reviews saying that it works wonders and is SIMPLE. Negative reviews said it's not advanced enough, i.e. it's TOO SIMPLE. Perfect for someone like me that doesn't want to fuss over anything and just wants it to work. The devices are small, clean, and attractive; the accompanying app is informative, intuitive, and responsive; setup was as close to plug-and-play as I could get; maintenance is, as yet, not needed because I've had no issues. Each corner of each room has just as strong a signal as the corner of the room furthest from it. We're pulling speeds upstairs that we've never before seen. Our phones no longer stall out on wifi; my wife no longer gets kicked off her laptop; Netflix streams in 4k with ease. These were all small issues in the grand scheme of things, but the tiniest annoyances become quite frustrating when they continue to pile up. Our home life is a little less frustrating now and we couldn't be any happier for it. One note: I also got a mount called The Spot by Mount Genie - it's pretty convenient as it allows each node to hang from the outlet into which it's plugged just by holding onto the plug itself.

Better than I hoped for. Worth every penny.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although my house is only 1300 square feet, I went with the three pack because my house is long. My Router is i the Living Room in the very front of the house and my Bedroom is in the very back of the house. These did the trick to fix the weak signal in my Bedroom. I placed the first in the Living Room, the second in the Den and the third in my Bedroom. Now streaking movies is a breeze. Set up was too easy, just install the app on your phone or tablet. It took about twenty minutes to set them up and update the software.

Awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went in to Best Buy to look at routers to bridge my comcast gateway. My wife has complained for years that our wifi coverage upstairs is horrible. The salesman recommended the google wifi 3 pack. I tried it out and it has been unbelievable. We have a 3200 sq ft house plus a finished basement. I have one on the first floor, one upstairs and one in the basement. The coverage, speed and signal strength throughout the house now is amazing. No dead spots. No more complaints from the wife. I highly recommend this.

Awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never write reviews, but I had to for this product. I moved into a new house and I was having issues with my wifi. I tried expensive routers (linksys) that didnt fix my issues and had an app that wasn't user friendly. This product is just awesome. It fixed my issues and I absolutely love the app. It just works and its easy to use. I'm not going to get into technical terms, because frankly, I don't even understand them. This is the perfect product for someone that wants to spend 5 minutes setting up a network and forget about it.

Must buy.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely the best WiFi I have ever used. More than 20 years of head aches and hassles, all gone with Google WiFi. Ever try to set up a range extension? This just works. Allow about ten minutes setup for each "puck". Afterwards the features of the smart app have all the features a home user could ask for. IP reservations, Port forwarding, Priority devices, and a feature to turn wifi off even. Absolutely non-intrusive form factor, no stupid antennas sticking out all over the place. Only available in white though.

Google Wifi works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this two weeks ago and instantly improved my home wifi. Our modem was located downstairs in a split level house of 2,100sqft. I purchased the 3 pack, and have complete coverage. I use to not be able to have any wifi in my upstairs bedroom, I can now stream live video with no glitches or fuzzy screen. This item is a little steep in price, but worth as we use the WIFI at home everyday and has improved. The feature of being able to prioritize items on the WIFI is great.

Another great Google product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently switched to a streaming only cable TV service and began to notice the deficiencies in my wifi network. Tried a WiFi extender and it helped but still had lag issues and poor picture quality with streaming. Gave Google WiFi a shot and all I can say is wow!!! Huge improvement, lag is gone, and picture quality stays at HD levels now. The Google WiFi app is also great for monitoring the network and is very simple to use. Google hit a home run with this product.

Solved all my wifi issues.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been struggling for over a year trying to figure out how to have a strong, seamless wifi signal throughout my 2600 square foot house. I've tried several options including a Netgear range extender, and the Powerline adapter. All options had failed miserably. My issue with those options mainly lie in the fact that I have to manually change networks when I move from room to room. If I'm connected to the wifi network (router) downstairs, when I go upstairs to have good signal, I would have to manually switch to the extender. Sometimes I would be downstairs sitting right next to the router, but somehow be connected to the range extender upstairs, getting terrible signal downstairs of course. I somehow came across Google Wifi while searching for alternatives. I wanted a seamless (now I know "Mesh" is the keyword) wifi signal throughout my house. I didn't want to have to worry about switching networks as I move from room to room. Well google wifi provides just that. I think I could have gotten away with 2 wifi points, but I went for 3 because we are moving into a bigger home soon, and I didn't want to take any chances of weak signal anyway. Buying 3 at the same time ends up being slightly cheaper that doing them all separately. Setup was SUPER easy. It took about 15 minutes to have all 3 wifi points setup throughout my home. I have one in my office on the main floor, one just above it upstairs in my daughters bedroom, and one on the opposite corner of the upstairs master bedroom. I no longer have issue with my smart tvs buffering, and I can work from my laptop in my bedroom without intermittently losing signal. Google wifi is the best money I've spent on technology in the last few years.

Amazing Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is legit! I wish I knew about this 3 years ago when I moved to my new 3 bed/2 bath condo where a regular router won’t just do. Now I get full signal and lightning fast Wi-Fi anywhere in the house. Installation is super easy as well. The google app will actually do everything for you. All you need to do is to plug it in and scan it. It’s an amazing product!

Needed 2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These things work well. I first bought one and it wasn't strong enough to reach the far corner of my house where desktop is. Our house is 1600 sf (the initial router is in the basement) and has lathe / plaster walls which I hear make it difficult for wifi. So I bought a 2nd on and put it upstairs in the office and the desktop wifi works fine now. Very easy to set up and use. Much easier than Netgear that I have had previously.

My wifi issues are history!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded my internet to Fios gigabit. While the upload/download speeds were consistently averaging 500mpbs+ on the first floor (where the modem is installed) of my 2000 sq. ft. house, the speeds upstairs and in the basement were barely cracking 100mbps. So I decided to purchase a 3-pack of Google Wifi routers last week and boy what a difference it made immediately. My setup includes one unit hard-wired into Fios router in the family room, another unit in the room next to it on the same floor while the third unit is furthest away upstairs. The upstairs and the second units are 4-5 times further from each other than the second and the first units. Even then, the speeds upstairs are consistently above 200mpbs. While the dead spots in the basement are pretty much history. The whole system is super easy to setup and use. Everything is controlled by Google wifi app on your phone. The app interface itself is user-friendly and easy to figure out for most basic tasks. Advanced networking options are limited so networking geeks may want to look elsewhere. One limitation of the app is that it allows you to "prioritize" only one single device. This means that the chosen device consistently gets the faster 5.0 Ghz band so it can take full advantage of gigabit speeds. While the other devices do get the 5.0 Ghz quite often, they randomly switch to 2.4 Ghz band which has top speed limitations of 300mbps. Would have been great if I could prioritize multiple devices. Overall though, I am quite impressed with Google Wifi! I highly recommend this product without hesitation if you are looking for an easy way to expand your wifi connection.
