Customers are saying
Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

Best money spent!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had very unreliable internet service around my home, even close to my old router. With these I have the same exact service at the main router as I do in my basement. Highly recommend!!

Only lasted 1 year and that's about it....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 3 pack worked great for exactly 1 year and up until the warranty was valid. As soon as the warranty period ended, I started having major issues with the mesh pods. The mesh pods would refuse to stay on the system and will constantly start glowing orange every 25 seconds. It did not matter if the mesh pods were literally 1 feet away from the base unit or 15 feet away. The units randomly loose connection and fail to re-establish with the base pod. The base pod by it self works great with no issues but the range isn't enough for the wireless camera outside the house. After factory restarting the network, creating new one, with different SSID, the mesh pods will 4/5 times fail to establish connection with the home pod. WIred connection would fix but as soon as you disconnect and move the pod 2-3 feet away from the base pod, they would loose connection and start glowing yellow. Was on google technical support for a total of 6 hours and 3 occurrences and NO solution. I would invest in this if you only need one pod...mesh system abosolutely NO. It has something to do with the software or firmware on my pods because rotating the pods as a base station has the same issue. Mesh pods fail to keep a solid connection. Now I am stuck with 2 pods that no longer connect to the base pod. I used to love it and have recommended to all my family & friends in the past but now....never !

GREAT PERFORMANCE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I won't repeat what others have already said. I will say that in areas where I was reading fair and good signals now all read excellent. Great product.

Works great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now my house has a fast and stable wi-fi connection in all rooms. I have not had a need to restart the routers at all. Device management on the app is awesome.

Google WiFi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t know why people are so excited about this product. I have a large 1BR apartment and currently have Apple AirPort Extreme Station. I connected Google WiFi with two devices (one is in the living room and another one is in the bed room). I measured the WiFi signal with the WiFi SweetSpots app on my iPad. In my living room the signal was great (1Gbps and more), but in the bed room it drops sometime up to 60Mbps. When I connected back my Apple AirPort Station, the WiFi signal was 960Mbps and more in the living room, and about 460Mbps in the bed room. So, the conclusion is this Google WiFi maybe good for the large house, but for the 1BR apt there are better WiFi routers. Google actually recommends to locate its two devices two rooms far away from each other.

Great WiFi--no printer connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved the simplicity of setup and system. However, a Canon Pixma printer will not connect wirelessly as it requires a WPS button, which the Google Wifi does not have.

Not what I expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this hopeing to get rid of dead spots around my home, I found these to be so under powered that you could lose 50% if your speed if you walked in the next room. It would have worked fine if I put one in every room but who wants to spend $1000 for wifi haha. Spend a little more money and go purchase the AmplifiHD, it lives up to the hype! I ended up returning this to Best Buy and purchased the AmplifiHD and could not be happier. Go read my review for it.

Set up for parents, 2/23 bug took down network
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got a 3-pack of these and set them up for my parents for Christmas. Everything was working great, but then on 2/23/2017, Google made a mistake and released a buggy firmware to the over-the-air updates, and it took down 2 of the 3 access points. The main one that connects to the cable modem still works, but the other 2 in the mesh are both down. The real problem is that this really leaves them stranded. They are elderly and only have basic phones (neither iPhone nor Android), which is why I am helping them in the first place. I got the Google Wifi to alleviate coverage problems that they had, but now that it randomly reset, they are back down to just 1 AP and so the product as a whole doesn't work anymore, it doesn't deliver the wide coverage that is the very intent of it! There is no way I can fix it remotely for them. There is no way that they can fix it. The only option is that I fly back there to fix it for them. I asked Google to reimburse for an on-site tech to help them out, but they don't, even though Google's own mistake created the problem.

Absolutely disappointed...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, I don't usually do reviews but I decide do this one for those who expect the same or more than I expected, I really like the minimalistic and easy setup but in my medium apartment I didn't have a good signal at all, in my bedroom the connection switched automatically from 5ghz to 2.4ghz do the poor signal and therefore the speed slowed down almost a half. I consider it a good idea but it need more development and performing enhancer. For now it doesn't worth the price for me, even a single point. Pros: (FOR ME) 1-Dual band 2.4ghz/5ghz 2-Bandwith prioritization 3-Minimalistic design 4-Easy setup 5-Remote access 6-Automatics updates Cons: 1-Just an Ethernet port 2-Poor signal coverage

Not Ready for Gigabit Networks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was trying to avoid running network cables through my house. The setup of the google mesh was easy enough. It was clear that placement of these units was very important. And they don't like going through walls. I had to re-positioned the pucks 3 times before I could get out of the "poor" connection status. I have a 1 story 1200sq foot house. Once I got the pieces talking to each other in the "good" connection range, speed tests showed around 40mbps download. In contrast, when I ran the single wifi router that came with my new gigabit service to the center of my long hallway in the middle of the house (a location which the google puck did not like), I get 190mbps download speeds at the farthest point. So I ran the network cables through my house and returned the google mesh to the store. And a minor point, I was surprised that these units were not wall mountable. It might not matter in a larger home, but when you live in a city, all your surfaces are precious.

Needs 3rd Band for Backhaul
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google forgot to add the third band to allow traffic between the pods. It works ok, but It doesn't compete with Velop or even Orbi (have tried all 3 in 4k sq ft home).

Good Coverage; Horrible Reliability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I set up Google Wi-Fi, I thought it was the best system I'd ever had. But that all changed a few hours later. I walked into the Laundry Room, where one of my wifi points was placed, and for some odd reason it was flashing red. After 2 hours with google support and multiple resets, they couldn't even figure it out. I decided to buy another system, thinking the current one I had had some type of manufacturing flaw, but I was extremely wrong. I still had the same problem, and had tried everything, like setting them up right next to each other and trying another internet source (to make sure it wasn't our provider). When it did work (for about a minute), my internet speeds were slashed in half. I would definitely not recommend this product because even though it covered our entire house, it was definitely not ready for sale. I ended up buying the NETGEAR Orbi, which is, indeed, the best system I've ever had.
