Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

This device, recommended and installed by a Geek Squad Agent has improved our internet connection tremendously. We've had it now for a month and there have been no drops, and the speed is now where it should be. We have a large house and this reaches everywhere we have the internet: computers, tvs, x-box.

Crazy Easy Setup

Setup was point and click - incredibly easy. I hardwired 6 connectivity points and have amazing WiFi connectivity across our entire home, yard, patio, garage, on all three floors and a loft. The only catch was that for hardwiring you need to configure the connectivity points wirelessly first before connecting the Ethernet cable. I should have read the installation instructions first and saved a half hour.

Its easy to set up and the app is great. You can set it to prioritize devices, which is great when everyone is home and using up your bandwidth. You can just set your device to priority and your good to go. It also can give you notifications about your network when you are not home. It just works so you never have to worry.

This has been the best thing I have gotten for my Wi-Fi issues. This made my home a very connected home by reaching every inch I needed help with. The set up was easy and the App is amazing. The report of usage keeps you on track and if there is an issue it will tell you exactly where it is. Just AMAZING!

I have a larger home and was encouraged to purchase a mesh system to get better coverage. The google home system is cheaper than the netgear mesh systems and works perfectly for me. It doesn’t have a few features the more expensive ones have put it pairs well with the app and is very easy to setup and use.

This product works flawlessly with no problems. Since there are a lot of devices connected to our modem, the internet would get slow but google wifi helped solve this problem. Now, our internet speed hasn't fluctuated as it used to and it is always fast now. The setup is simple and the app's interface is easy to follow.

Google wifi is performing far better than Apple WiFi [tower]. Very easy to setup and gives lot of info about devices and speeds.

This reminds me of of the old Apple Airport in simplicity, style and functionality.
Only very advanced users with a need/want to customize all aspects and/or those with the very fastest connections, Beyond what most people can’t even get in their homes outside of a major city, might want something else. In which case you’ll need spend quite a bit more money for that extra capability.
For most people, Google have simplified the interface down to the most common features.
And it’s easy to temporarily prioritize certain specific device connections, like the Roku or Apple TV from your mobile set to a timer.
Although the product has been out for a while now, it’s still competitive with ways to go in expanded hardware functionality, such as Bluetooth which is included, though not yet enabled in firmware/software.
I definitely would buy again.

I'm No Longer Skeptical

I was having serious problems with WiFi dead spots in my more-than-a-century-old house. I tried using another brand's extenders to cover the spots, but it looked like I would have to have nearly one extender per room, along with the expected number of SSIDs to match. Not good. And expensive.
Generally, I'm not a fan of Google, but the more I read, the more it sounded like it might just work. Besides, Best Buy has never given me any static about returns when I found they didn't do the job I needed done, so there was nothing to lose and everything to gain.
I purchased this set of three with the intention of setting one on each floor, which I did. The only hassle was in the setup, primarily because my ISP still assigns static IPs. Once the system was in, I didn't have any more dead spots! Even my Ring doorbells have no trouble staying connected to my network now. And, as a bonus, I'll be adding another AC1200 this summer to my detached garage to give me WiFi out there, something I was expecting to have to put in a buried hardwire to get.
I only wish I had more access to the internals like I'm used to having ... but you can't have everything.

Worth The Cost for Reliable Wi-Fi

When we moved from a 2,000 sq. ft. home to our current ~3500 sq. ft. home we knew we needed more than just our old router. We debated between this and a few others out there and ~16 months in, we're pleased with Google's system.
Set-up is pretty easy with these. The biggest frustration was placement as you want to have a decent line from one unit to the next.
Going up stairwells into bedrooms with smart televisions, etc. was a bit of a strategic struggle. We didn't want an eyesore of a wifi-unit in a hallway or something. Ultimately, we placed one in our home office as our central hub, another at a kitchen workstation area and the third upstairs in our master bedroom on a dresser. The system seems to be working wonderfully.
We don't have any problems with connected devices anywhere in the house and prior to the system with just one wireless router, we did. So, I think it's been worth the investment.

I had the Apple router for over 7 years. But I unfortunately couldn’t get WiFi outside my house or upstairs was very poor. I purchased this refereed by a friend and it’s amazing! Very super easy to install and the signal is very strong outside because of being able to put the routers all over the house! You won’t be disappointed!

The router of internet provider was not sufficient for our house. They suggested an extender, but upon looking into it I came to the conclusion that we could do a lot better for a reasonable additional amount. There are stronger whole home Wi-Fi systems available but they appear to be overkill considering our system could be expanded if need be.
We are happy as we are now getting what we have been paying for. I enjoy blazing downloads on my laptop and we have no more whirlygigs when streaming movies.

I love all things Google, so when the Google WiFi 3-pack became available, I jumped on it. Sadly, I've gone back to my old Netgear router after a month.
Setup is brilliantly simple with the app. Being able to monitor your network remotely and monitor what devices are connected is great. However, I've had enough issues with the setup that I've decided to throw in the towel.
I apparently mistakenly thought this solution would work in a "chain". You see, my modem has to be setup in my den which is at one end of my 1600 sq. ft. house. So I figured with the primary node in there, the second node in the middle of the house, and the third node at the other end of the house, coverage would be great. Unfortunately, that's not how this works (so far as I can tell). The second and third nodes need to have a good connection to the primary node. So instead of working in a chain, these need to be set up in more of a triangle pattern. That doesn't work for me.
My front Nest Outdoor camera kept disconnecting. I'd walk through the house and my phone would connect to the second node, but when I got back to the den where the primary node is, my phone would remain connected to the secondary node and have a worse connection. Etc.
Maybe I'm missing something and maybe I'll give it another go eventually, but before you buy, know what your layout will be. If you need a chain, this won't work for you.

My home is right at 3,000 square feet, has plaster walls as well as brick chimneys throughout, and the Google system pushes the wifi signal right on through. I have previously tried expensive extenders that simply did not do the trick. The added bonus is the app, which tells you when your service is out at home, and also lets you know how many devices are connected, which are using the most data, etc. I have had no problems with extending my wifi signal through my home since purchasing this system.

These devices are the best on the market. I went from vendor to vendor searching for coverage for my home until I friend recommended these to me. They are by far the easiest to setup and perform extremely well for me. We have about 30 wireless devices, tablets/phones/chromecasts/ps4/xbox/nest/televisions, and none are ever without connectivity.

I've had a few Linksys routers fail over the past 10 years and thought it would be time to give something different a try. The Google Router was extremely easy to set up. Our 2,300sq ft house now has no dead spots where there used to be in the basement even with a range extrender on the main level of the house. I would buy again.

This has done the trick to increase my router range in a three level townhome. I placed two of these on the top most level and one in the middle leaving the main router on the ground floor. These WiFi extenders do a better job with multiple devices than the Verizon router alone.

Super easy set up and extends your WiFi signal immensely. A must have if you have multiple devices spread out over your property. Very small and easily hidden. Can use as an extension of your existing WiFi or as your main setup. Works with most other routers and modems.
