Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

I have installed about 2 dozen of these little pods and setup is so easy. But the best feature is the app. I love being able to test the mesh, network and internet speed of the device remotely. I do wish they made a base unit that had more Ethernet ports sometimes one is not enough.

This was a breeze to setup. All you have to do is download the app and follow the onscreen instructions. I can now monitor my houses network remotely through the app and it has great signal! One of these covers my whole house. It also constantly gets updates from Google to improve the functionality.

This is a powerful and simple to install wifi network. Think coverage of your house anywhere. I'm using 4, but 1 may be enough for most folks in an apartment or smaller home. Adding units is as simple as plugging in and discovering with the app. That's it - 10 minutes for the pack.

Easy to install and manage. Was surprised that the phone app interface had as many control options as it does (e.g., port management, static ip assignment). Super easy to reset the network via the app. I was very pleased that the interface light can be dimmed or shut off through the app. I get outstanding wifi speeds (have gig speed network and get ~200-600Mbps depending on the device). The mesh is a little finicky at times. For example, my bathroom is in the center of the three-puck triangle and sometimes my phone will have a hard time deciding which puck to connect to. I have to point out that the pucks running entirely wifi (e.g., the only ethernet connection is with the puck connected to your modem), the wifi signal is not great (~80Mbps). Hard-wiring your pucks in a chain via ethernet massively improves the overall wifi quality and in particular the mesh aspect.

Was having difficulty keeping my old router running. Went to Best Buy and inquired about an upgrade. The salesperson asked about my needs and suggested Google. Nothing more, nothing less than what I needed. Seems to work great with my 2 levels. Easy installation...plug and play basically. Very simple. Speed is adequate for multiple users and devices. Only occasionally have I experienced any buffering. Most likely my service provider rather than the router. Quite pleased overall.

Jury is still out. I really do like the set up and ease of operation. Still trying to get it to work out to the garage. Get a very weak signal. I am not capable of hard wiring. In home, works great! House is 2400 sf with 3 nodes.

Was previously running house on Apple network, and even with Mac computers, it was unreliable and slow. Cannot recommend Google WIFI enough. Easy set up, reliable, only issues I have had is with TV's and download speed even when system shows light usage, which is pretty common in my experience.

Setup was not too hard other than unexpectedly having to change the subnet of the IP addresses for all my devices so it wasn't just a matter of replacing my router with an identically configured network. My biggest complaint is that the performance is no better than what I had before even with 3 mesh access points. My wireless security cameras still drop off the network randomly and my roaming laptop frequently has poor bandwidth. If I wasn't 'replacing' a network it would have been a breeze. Now I've made the investment, I think I'll look to add another 1-2 mesh points if I can find them on sale to see if that beefs up my connectivity...

It was so easy to get all three routers set up and the wifi coverage and speed are fantastic. I had been using an Apple airport exstream for years but I would always loss connection at the far end of the house and had bad connections in other parts. No more, the google wifi system has changed all of that! Highly recommended.

The Google Home Wifi system was a life saver for my unique home setup. I keep my equipment in my basement but view everything on my main level. Prior to implementing the Google system, my internet was choppy and unreliable. Downloading Netflix or Amazon Prime movies/shows we’re spotty & would buffer on me occasionally. Now, I haven’t experienced a single “buffer” moment.

My old router kept losing connection and would have to reset almost daily. Have had the google router for a month and have not had to mess with it at all. Son plays Fortnite and has had no lag while playing as he had several issues before. So far it had worked well for me. Easy setup with app on phone.
