Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

I was getting dead zone spots in my basement/yard/and second floor. Once I put 3 of the google Wifi points in those places I have been getting internet access without interruption. I have 100/100 internet speed and after several speed test my devices were at 110-140/100

This will solve all your wifi issues in the house. I have a 2,100sqft home and have used the Netgear Nighthawk x6. It was great but further away from my router the signal was weak. I got the 3 pack and MAN! I got 5 bars of wifi throughout the whole house. Get this. Set up is simple. Wifi is GREAT.

I have the Google wifi system and it's great as long as you understand it's purpose. It is not a modem, it's a router. If your cable company has you renting a combo modem/ router this will not replace it. I still have my cable company combo modem /router. It is a wifi capable one but it's range is astoundingly horrible. I couldn't even connect to the wifi in my bedroom and my house is pretty small. This mesh wifi system allows me to place these wifi access points all over my house, increasing my overall wifi range. I can connect to my wifi as soon as I enter my neighborhood driving now. It also does not get bogged down with a lot of devices online at the same time. Setup is easy, the app is easy to navigate for me but for someone who isn't as familiar, they may have a slight hard time at first. I definitely recommend this product. I upgraded from several tp-link range extenders all over my house and this is much faster.

Without a doubt there is no other wireless router system or mesh system that you can buy. That is why it costs more than most but the three Wi-Fi mesh system setup provides unmatched speeds, reliability, and distance from the modem. I will never own another router ever!!

I've had the system for about 3 months now and have had no issues to date. It is the easiest wifi router I've ever had to set up, and now my entire house is free of dead spots, which was the entire purpose of purchasing the system. I am extremely happy with this google system.

I am very particular when it comes to electronics, my expectations are always very high. I was very surprised and pleased with this product. Very easy to setup, has been EXTREMELY reliable and I love the app that I use to manage it. This is how WiFi should be. I highly recommend it.

Setup was very easy. We have four people with multiple devices - each person can setup their own secure profile on the network. Range is great, no speed loss or signal strength issues regardless of where you are in the house or how many devices are active.

Good: Looks good, easy to set up, pretty app., Easy to set time-of-day restrictions, mesh networking, can plug other devices directly into one of the remote units. Tech support is friendly. Bad: Must use the app to configure the network, you can't use a PC for setup - this isn't a huge deal, but a bit of a change if you are used to advanced set up options. The main issue, and why I can't recommend this system to anyone, is Google's update process... You have no control over firmware updates. The unit will update when Google pushes an update. You have no notification, and no way to block or postpone the update. This means that your network could go down at an inopportune time. If there is an issue with the firmware, there is no way to roll it back; you are left waiting for Google to push another update. This is the main issue here... there was an update at the end of March that caused numerous people to have issues with their main Google Wifi unit locking up and changing to a solid blue light. (https://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/d/msgid/GoogleWifi/b3d79044-fa92-4218-837d-42ae0662c594%40googleproductforums.com) After receiving the update, every few hours to every few days the main unit will change to a solid blue light and all wireless and wired networking will fail until you power-cycle the main unit. A factory reset does not fix this. Google as acknowledged that there is an issue, but they don't have a fix yet. I understand that things might go wrong with an update, but the fact that you can't undo it, or get a quick fix is unacceptable. Since there is no way to block or roll-back an update, you are left stuck and waiting for Google to fix it. For me this resulted in 35 lockups and multiple tech support calls/emails over a 10-day period before I finally gave up and replaced the unit with a different router. Another issue people have seen with this system: https://support.google.com/wifi/answer/7335595?hl=en - If the Google Accounts engine is down, your router might randomly reset and all configuration is lost. I really wanted this system to be good, but in practice it has been a major headache. At this point I would not recommend Google Wifi to anyone, there are much more robust/stable options out there. If Google changes this update process and allows you to roll-back it wouldn't be so bad, but as is, it's simply not worth it.

I have terrible internet that is basically the only choice in this town. The strength and quality is far from ideal. With the Google home wifi I was able to double my signal strength and also extend it. It is the best option in my opinion to strengthen and extend signals.
