I bought this mainly to shoot time lapsed photo at my jobsite. I have a Hero 3 and this battery pac more than doubles the endurance (about 4-5 hours pending time lapse settings). However, it's still no where near some of the other available options on the market and as a result I had to run an additional battery pack to charge this via its USB port. It fits perfectly to the Go Pro camera, but its Achilles Heel is the flimsy USB port. As I mentioned before in order to get the full 8 hours I needed, I attached another battery pack (not go pro) via USB to charge this battery pac. A few times due to the wind, but GoPro would fall over from the tripod and land on its side. The fall destroys the battery pac and I had to get two additional ones. Overall this battery pac does its job if you are looking for 2-4 hours of extra endurance, but I wish it was more robust.

This is the best companion for GoPro when shooting lots of 4K videos. You can get 128GB micro-SD that work well with 4K videos and this is a compliment to that.

Perfect back up for when you are underwater for long hours

Its a bit pricy but its still better then having to switch your battery every hour. I get about 3 hours total with this and its nice to charge the BOTH batteries without having to take out the batteries.

Even though it's double the size of the main battery it only holds about the same amout of power as the main battery.

Gives you the use of your camera that much more.this just adds to the already great performance of the go pro camera

Attached easy it has allowed me to keep that camera rolling just like it was supposed too Don't go without this I carry 3 extra batteries with me everywhere this was like adding another 3 perfect

Nice videos but difficult to operate I use it on my road bike and my mountain bike I want to go under water

I use my BacPacs for connecting to an external power source, such as my cigarette lighter. I was told that going straight to the camera would cause it to overheat. I have never had an overheating issue using the BacPac and with the external power source I can record all day.

This does a nice job extending the battery life of my Hero 4+ GoPro. I have used it with the waterproof housing while snorkeling and with a skeleton housing. Nice accessory.

This is a great add on for the GoPro. It has consistently added an hour of battery life to my recording allowing me to not have to change batteries so often.

I was hoping to do some night lapse projects with my GoPro 4 Silver. This gave me the extra power to do just that. Worth picking up if you own a GoPro 4 Silver.

This is the second on i purchased. I went on vacation and thought i would need it for some epic long recording, Was able to recored long with out battery changes.

The hero 4 black is great - to be able to get 4k video in a camera for $500 is awesome

Helped to extend the life of my GoPro most of the day! Didn't realize it came with the extended backs and ordered them from Amazon a few months back!

The camera itself doesn't have a super long battery life, so this is a must.

This battery is a must if you plan on recording over long periods of time, or simply using your GoPro all day! Definitely a good purchase on our part!
