Q: charging
A: Yes you can ... It has a USB charging adapter like the hero
Q: is this compact enough to still fit in the waterproof case?
A: It comes with a new waterproof back door that is deeper to allow for the extended battery. As long as you have the standard waterproof housing, your camera can still be waterproof with this extended battery. However, if your camera was sold with the "dive housing," that one is a little bit different size and the waterproof back door that comes with this battery will not fit. The dive housing was sold with some HERO3 models. You can tell the difference because the dive housing has little metal pieces kind of like screws or rivets in the frame around the lens on the front of the case. If those metal pieces are absent from your waterproof housing (the majority of units), then this WILL work for you.
A: The product looks just like the photo shown on the Best Buy website. The side view shows the BacPac mounted on the camera. You can see the plug on the side of the BacPac where the cord connects to charge the battery. There is a larger cover for the waterproof case that comes with the BacPac to accommodate the additional depth once the BacPac is installed on the back of the GoPro.
Q: Will this fit the GoPro Hero 5 black?
A: The bak pac battery mounts directly to the back face of the Hero 3 and 4 (I have a 3silver and 4 black). The Hero 5 has a touch screen on the rear panel and I don't see the necessary slot plug where the external battery must mount to function. So, I'm going to say it is not compatible with the Hero 5. Hope this helps. -Steve
Q: Is that GoPro HD battery Rechargeable for GoPro HD camera...? Tks
A: Yes batteries are rechargeable.
A: It's an extra battery for recording
Q: What would the average time the GoPro could record video w/ BacPac and without ?
A: i've had my Hero3 for a couple years and battery lasts about an hour or so, i figure battery doesnt hold charge as good as it used to......with the BacPac now it can go for a few hours at least with high resoultion and with wifi on
