Using this to capture my son playing soccer and doing America Ninja sports. Set it in the center of the soccer field and just let it record. High res 5k is incredible .

GoPro does it again with action cam capable of 360 video you can watch in VR! Great for filimg action sports and rexeperiencing the experiences at home using your VR headset.

Bottom line up front, this camera is way to complicated and requires a LOT of high end equipment, to be usable for most people. It requires 2 high speed, high quality memory cards (don't bother trying off brands) and will not work with just one. Worse yet, it REQUIRES a cell phone from a very small list of "compatible" devices and will not work with any other phones. Thankfully it can be controlled as a standalone camera, but this is not ideal. While it can be used in a standalone mode, it requires a LOT of high end processing power to actually produce a video from the raw data. Even with the lowest quality settings, it took well over 12 hours to process a small (approximately 10 minute) video. An attempt to process a large (approximately 90 minute) video resulted in the computer crashing after 30+ hours of trying to process the data from the memory cards. In short, if you are a professional videographer or artist, then maybe this is for you, but if you are not, then just forget about this camera and go with something else.

Since the GoPro Fusion which has great video quality was on sale for $299 figured I take a chance. After about 2 hours of trying to figure out the (218) stitching error I gave up. Followed the directions on the support page and what I found on YouTube and still no joy. I need a camera system with a efficient workflow and data storage, 2 SD cards is doing too much. GoPro needed to include instructions on how to transfer files to a desk or lap top. Returning the Fusion and going with the Insta360X instead.

I was excited about getting such a great deal on this camera I’ve been drooling over for a year. Now I know why it was on sale. The camera tends to over-heat and shutdown if used in the sunlight or for longer than 10 minutes. It gets so hot it is painful to touch. I spoke with GoPro support. Their solution: don’t use it to record at the higher resolution, and don’t record so long. So my interpretation was they recommend not using their product. I was sad to do it, but I returned the camera for a refund.

Great price for this water proof camera! Gave one to my kids for a wedding gift! They are taking some great pictures on their honeymoon! It comes with pic book also!

This is a great all around camera for 360 degree videos with the exception of the hardware requirements to download and render these videos to make them shareable.

I am a GoPro fan and I love the features and capabilities of this camera. I love making family videos. It is a nice complement to the Hero 7.

It's okay if you want to take 360 pictures. The video is not supported by software. When trying to use fusion software for editing videos it just hang.

When I record with the camera the quality is nothing like the videos I see on YouTube! I would’ve returned the camera but I didn’t use it until the return warranty expired!

The technology is amazing and I'm looking forward to finding excused to use it. The mobile app is not immediately intuitive, but I'm sure a few tutorials will help.

I bought two because it was on discount but I realized that it was not worth it. You have to use two memory cards in one camera, it makes it more work to process videos to stitch together. There isn't anything good to protect the lenses from scratching. the only good thing is that it comes with the stick and the battery lasts a long time. I wish I would have bought the GoPro Max instead.

Fun Camera takes time to learn the soft wear and how to use for best image results I think I like the regular go pro better

Bought this for son’s high school graduation. He’s looking forward to using it in Kauai snorkeling next week.

A good product with good quality, but I have to say it is too early for human's technology to build a reliable 360 camera. It is absolutely not a game changer. If you want to have a VR toy, fusion is a wonderful choice. If you want to use fusion to record your life, the image/video quality is so low that I don't want to see it twice. I really appreciate Gopro's effort to change the way we record our life, and 360 camera is an abolute genius idea to achieve that goal. But, it is terribly limited by technology (To be honest, no 360 cameras right now available are satisfied).

Great product! Takes a little to getting use to as far as downloading to the computer. That's the only thing I didn't like about it.

Thought this camera would be a good addition to my go pro collection, but it was a bit too confusing from the start up. Ended up returning it and purchasing the new Hero 7 Black.
