Awesome quality camera, easy to use and set up. Worth the money

Took this camera for an oversea trip and it performs quite nicely. I used it mostly for general filming in various conditions and scenery and have no issue with it. A few observations however: 1) it does not do very well in low lights condition 2) it does not have an 'instant zoom' on the touch screen (like on your phone screen for example). For ex, you are in wide mode and you want to get closer then you have to stop the filming, change your mode to 'narrow' so that the field vision is closer. 3) on a few occasion, the Hero5 'freezes'. I had to take out the battery and put it back to restart the camera. 4) The image stabilizer works 'ok'. I wish it would be a bit better . You maybe need to get a real gimbals instead of relying on the internal stabilizer that came w/ the Hero5. But of course, those gimbals are so expensive, some even cost more than the camera itself and for me it's not worth it. 5) Battery is about 40-50 mins long. You definitely need 2 or more batteries at the ready if you intend to do extensive long recording for a day outing. I bought one charger+battery (not GoPro brand) from BestBuy for $30 and they work great. Also invest in a Sandisk 64G micro-sd card. It will last you very long. I say around 3 hours of recording or thousands of Hi-res pics.

I had been toying with the idea of getting one of these cameras for awhile now. Kept holding out knowing they'd keep getting better, but finally bit on the Hero5. Got it as a Christmas gift for my wife, so we haven't been able to use it quite yet but the features on this camera are great. Looking forward to using this camera for years to come.

Got the hero 5 black last black friday with remo included which is a good deal...Mainly used as dash cam for bike... Takes very good 4k videos and very nice photos...Remo is very nice to have as a simple remote when the go pro is mounted in a tripod or selphy stick...

Nice and tiny to use any where. The remote is also helpful

So far have really only shot 3 videos with it, but it is very user friendly. The GoPro Quick software to me was useless but Davinci Resolve takes care of that and it's free! Must have Windows 10 to update firmware, but that gave me an excuse to buy a new machine ;-)

Step up from Hero 4, and good bargain instead of Hero 6.

Tons of features, easy to use. Software is good, particularly for phone. Only negative is the short battery life. Great little camera!

Great for sports and action waterproof great picture.

We used it on the slopes in Colorado. The remote was handy! It's easy to use and picture and video quality is great. WE have not edited to create a video yet, but it seems like it won't be too complex to do.

A GoPro is a must have if you are a traveler or have children. It gets crystal clear video and audio and captures memories of all my vacations which I convert to dvd’s. It’s so easy to operate and is durable beyond belief. Best video camera ever!

Tried it out. My kid has a krazy kart XL. SPINS REALLY FAST. PUT IT ON HIS HELMET. THE PICTURE WAS CLEAR NOT FUZZY AT ALL. GETTING READY TO TAKE IT TO HAWAII AND PUT IT TO THE TEST IN THE WATER AND LAND. PLUS LOVE THE REMOTE. PUT ON YOUR WRIST AND CONTROL CAMERA. MY WIFE LOVES IT. SO EASY TO USE.

This is my 2nd GoPro, the other was old and I was looking for added features and versatility...this camera has it all! I was able to get the bundle with the voice remote for the same price as the standard package and It is a great bonus and worth it! The camera is super easy to setup, use and feels like a winner! If this is your first GoPro...CONGRATS, you've made a great decision....if this is adding to your GoPro collection....CONGRATS, you've purchased the best camera in the GoPro lineup with value packed features and superb recording and fine tuning functionality, and voice control! Get it, use it, take it everywhere and GoPro!

Overall great camera, looks good, feels good and takes great video. Wish the battery would last longer though.

This camera works great. We like the size of the camera, images are clear and we also like the available accessories that go along with this camera. I believe this product was a good investment and also fun to use.

Battery life is not great. This action camera works flawlessly. Awesome video and picture quality.
