Q: Is it waterproof to 40 feet deep for scuba?
A: Good to 33ft without case, they make a case for deep water purposes (not included with camera)
Q: how long does battery last, thinking about buying one for vacation
A: That of course will depend on how hard you use it. I used mine continously for three hours and the charge indicator barely moved. Vague I know but the best I can say is a long time. I bought a second battery and charger but didn't need either.
