Basic but Awesome

I use it to record games of family members, and as the coach it helps immensely to show kids how we can improve. I've enjoyed it for the minimal things I need it for, but if you want to do more extensive video-ing then go for the higher models. But I love it, and I love how easily it transfers to my phone wirelessly.

If you were looking for something with a lengthy battery life this is probably not the camera for you. I would spend the extra money on the Hero 7 black because you can swap the battery.
