A: The battery is not removable on the Silver or the White, and the charging takes time and battery life is not acceptable to me. I have not had any luck with the Hero 7 Silver charging with anything other than a wall outlet. I would recommend going with the Hero 7 Black
A: The HERO7 White has an internal battery that you can recharge using the included USB-C cable. The cable can connect to a variety of power sources, including a computer or a standard power block (like an iPhone charger) to get power to the GoPro. You'll also get a frame to hold the camera, a buckle to connect it to mounts, and some adhesive mounts.
Q: Can you take pictures UNDER WATER (ie.when snorkeling), or is this camera just “splash proof”?
A: Yes, the HERO7 White is waterproof down to 10m/33ft. You can definitely take photos and video using the HERO7 White while snorkeling.
A: The HERO7 White does not have the live streaming function. For that, you'll want to look at the HERO7 Black.
Q: how long can it video record?
A: If you shoot at 60 frames per second, you should get about an hour and 47 minutes of recording time out of the battery. If you shoot at 30 frames per second, you should get about two hours and 26 minutes of recording time.
Q: Is this camera compatible with the remote
A: The HERO7 White is not compatible with the Smart Remote, but it is compatible with the GoPro app, which will allow you to control the camera remotely.
A: (1) Yes! The HERO7 White comes with a Frame that allows you to connect it to our mounts, and it comes with some adhesive mounts you can use with the camera. (2) Which accessories you get really depend on where and how you're planning to use the GoPro. If you're going to be around water, check out the Handler or the Floaty. If just for everyday shots, our 3-Way, Shorty, or Jaws mounts are great. (3) The GPS allows you to tag where you are when the photo or video were made. You can use that data to overlay gauges on your videos to show how fast you were going, the route you took, etc. You don't need to be connected to wi-fi to make that feature work. The camera picks up the GPS signal on its own.
