    GoPro doesn't seem to be able to write software to save their lives. Skip this one, go with a hero 8 instead.

    I jumped at purchasing this camera since the front display was sorely needed for vlogging using GOPROs. GOPRO consistently misses the point that audio is just as important as video quality when it comes to producing content. The internal microphone's ability to pick up audio is abysmal at best. The mic adapter was a go-around to fix this issue with previous models; however, the mic adapter doesn't work with the HERO 9. Some users reported it initially worked than the firmware updated killed it.
