Really wanna love this Hero 9’s, but I feel so duped buying it to replace my 8’s and honestly feel like GoPro as a company is going to lose my business in the future to other action camera options. The LCD screen on the front is really the only big change and it is embarrassing. The quality of the image on the front screen is from 1990 it is awful the pixels and colors and honestly it just looks awful and serves zero purpose. Then while they pitch it as more battery life and sensor resolution I don’t see it in the video comparisons enough to warrant replacing my 8’s and honestly if I was not already set to shoot on a project requiring these I would have returned then. I get it though, like Apple and the iPhone they need to continue to market and sell products over and over to people so they can rebuy the same tool for the sake of consumerism or the fake new features we all think we want until we become very disappointed once we use them. I would expect at least making worthwhile or better camera each time, or better yet bring back an HDMI option. It confuses me how they have that option on the 7, but not the 8 or 9? Is it a license thing or just poor product development which when I see the front LCD I think it a more realistic excuse I also use to like their software but it is really not getting better but worse and a ploy to get people to pay for another service. Last design gripe is the fact that the metal door on the side has changed from 8 to 9 but it’s only wider so no ability to flip it with the custom cut out to power then and no ability to had an upgrade on it as a better door it is just depressing. Have an 8, don’t need to buy the 9 and honestly just wait for the 10 in Q4 which I am sure will surpass the quality and features of this one.

This GoPro is fantastic. I replaced my 5 Black with this and there isn’t a comparison. The vlog screen on the front is great and the battery lasts almost 2 hours. I recommend getting the media mod for better audio.

Go Pro has done it again! Awesome camera, with awesome features. The forward facing LCD display is an awesome feature, to enable you to compose, and view what you are capturing. This coupled with the Hero 9 Media Mod, and Display Mod, and Light Mod, would make for an amazing sports/ blog/ activity set up. I also love the Hero 9's Folding Fingers that started with the Hero 8. Don't forget to pick up the Hero 9's Dual Battery Charger, and the Super Charger (on clearance for $27.99, originally $49.99). I can't wait until the Lens Mod is available.

This camera is incredible. Love the voice commands, photos and video are high quality and having the selfie screen adds a whole new concept when fishing on the ocean in a kayak where it is already hard to get a good look at what you are capturing. Love this camera!

Worked great on vacation. Used mostly for snorkeling. With app editing is pretty simple. Easy to use.

Great flexible accessory. I will be using the GoPro Hero 9 as a secondary webcam for my ATEM Mini. I will also use it outside during the extreme cold weather instead of my Primary Mirrorless camera. I love the front and rear color display and I am glad the Best Buy had the GoPro Hero 9 Media Mod in stock so I can connect my RodeWireless Mike. This was a lot cheaper than purchasing another 4k/5k camera and it will get the job done for me.

Was a good camera Took a lot of nice photos and videos in Cancun I would definitely recommend to people that like to explore and have nice memories.

I had a Hero 7 and decided it was time to upgrade. I love the Hero 9. It takes clear video and still shots. The quick app makes it so easy to organize and make quick videos. Great choice!
