Good camera

It does get quite warm when filming in higher resolutions for a while, and ive had it do the famous "lockup" a few times. But other than that its been a stellar action cam.

The Hero 9 has great features like voice command and the double screen but it’s not that impressive overall. Also, I would not have purchased if I would have known ahead of time that I had to pay for a GoPro membership to use the main features

Hero 9 still great in 2024

My computer is not a new 2023 machine anyway, so an older model performs great with my setup instead of being beyond my capabilities.

Good, doesn't work with android tablets

Originally bought for pictures for in the water/hiking/bad conditions, but I would say it's much better for videos. Very nice that you do no need a case, unless scuba diving. Why I took 1 star off, beware that many of your photos/videos will be trashed if you aren't wiping the screen after water use as water LOVES to stick to the lens. Additionally, the gopro app does not work for android tablets/chromebooks, which was a very unpleasant surprise.

The big difference is I noticed the touch screen doesnt start changing on me while under water like the old camera used to do Also this camera has built in mount on the bottom.
